McDonald's in Taunton Deane

Always turns up cold and have to reheat takes over an hour after you order to get delivered and sometimes get someone else's order

The staff were very friendly, told us to have a good day. They actually clean the floors and tables in here unlike the other McDonald's I've been to. Food and drinks were all hot for once as well and service was only a few minutes as well despite having a fair few customers. Minus a few children being loud (not their fault) it was a very good atmosphere.

Excellent here. I came in and ordered table service and had my order in2 mins. All was there food was great and staff were friendly

Contender for the worst cheeseburger I've ever had the displeasure of consuming. The opposite end of the fresh spectrum, not sure why they can't simply make them to order, it's never that busy and always overstaffed. Quite simply, a last resort if your hungry, and don't mind risking botulism...

Quick service very polite staff, clean and tidy, no complaints at all very happy to go back again

everytime I've ordered from McDonald's it's always missing a item and they charge for it how hard is it to read from a screen make the food and put it in a bag 🙄🙄🙄🙄

An ideal place to get a beefburger, chicken burger, fillet of fish or a drink, good value for money, plenty of seating and has toilets including disabled.

Great food, the staff were friendly and I enjoyed the experience. The man was friendly on the tables. Their staff was all friendly

In side asda. Been here couple times this time for breakfast. It always seems tidy & clean. The machine can be a bit hit and miss. Staff were friendly enought polite. Had pancakes 🥞 they were fine 🙂 no complains.

First time using this store. Ordered 1 happy meal. Took over 10 minutes to get. I don't get why the food came out in a random order especially larger orders. But the next random thing was that with the cheeseburger. The bun was upside down. Fries were hot (rare for mcdonalds) but saltless which I don't know if they forgot or they are following KFC approach.

Online order -missing meal ! This happened not the first time!

It was busy but very quick service. Manager called Kieran served me and he was extremely polite. Lobby was clean and workers were friendly.

Didn't go there so why should I know

Always pop in the the kids, I doubt that we have ever received our meal without something being missed, today no syrup with the pancakes. We also got the added bonus of being able to sit in a staff meeting in the restaurant with rates of pay, free meals, customer problems etc being discussed. Cardboard knives and forks should be banned.

Great fresh food, quick service. Went at Christmas and they always have colouring and hats the kids love that!

Don’t use the delivery service. It takes over an hour and the food arrives cold. The delivery driver took 40 minutes to deliver food less than a mile away.

Good service, above that I normally expect at McDonald's.

McDonalds is always hit and miss on service, generally it's quite good but i am not sure I've had an order correct yet. No cheese seems simple, it's even written on the box when i get it BUT there is the cheese, as always!!! Lol..

The location of this McDonald’s is convenient as is right inside of Asda, if you go for some grocery shopping and are craving some burgers or something fast this is great. The service however it was not so great, I choose to order on the machine and scanned my McDonald’s account to get some points and started ordering, when I was about to pay the screen stopped working. I then tried another machine and when I scanned my account to order it wouldn’t allowed me to enter so I had to order without my log in and lost the points for this order. I received the order and it was definitely delivered fast however unfortunately the chips were cold and the large amount it was not large at all as the container was only till half, I had to take it back and they did apologised and brought some hot ones but still only till half. I also was disappointed by the way they’ve served my burger, it is so sad to see that they don’t put any effort at all on making them burgers something so easy, the meat and the cheese were half outside the buns as well as the lettuce and tomato I had to place everything in place myself. There wasn’t anywhere to wash the hands or any paper either it was just a bad experience overall.

first of all wayy to busy , we had to wait for a long time for food and then couldn't even get a seat , ended up on a random bench with cold food 1 star because I couldn't give it a zero absolutely appalling .

A nice compact McDonald's within an Asda Supermarket. Pleasant staff and very clean.

Spent £25 and received the completely wrong order. After a long day in the hospital all I wanted was food and my bed and I didn’t even get what I order. What a waste of money and time

They should start warming food before they give it to customers

Quaint little McDonald's right next door to the Asda which has handy. Don't go to a McDonald's often but visited this one whilst travelling. It was surprising to see that all the self order points were working for once, even got a receipt and managed to get a table number plaque. We ordered to our table and the food came out all correct and promptly. Burger was pleasant too, not overly dry as the past few times I've visited

The food served here was good and swift, unlike the McDonald’s at Hankridge near Hollywood bowl that prioritises drive through 🧐. It was quiet due to the time, but based inside Asda it’s a good location. Sadly the condiment area was poorly maintained, napkins not available and not the cleanest. Visited Monday morning 14.08. Lady on duty was very efficient. 👍

This McDonald's has got to be one of the worst I have ever been in, the delivery drivers think it's ok to use the disabled parking spaces to wait in for their orders so never anywhere to park the food took a long time to arrive, deliveries and drive through seem to take precedence over walk in customers, dirty tables left for you to clear before you can sit, will not be visiting this particular McDonald's again, worst one we've ever been in.

Me and my fiance had the pleasure of dining here today, the food was great, and the customer service was even better. Very friendly and helpful keep up the good work!

We saw the pictures of the Biscoff McFlurry and decided we needed to try this new concoction. It was okay .. we picked the £1.99 one to share (in case we didn't like it) and we both wondered if that was the size of the larger Biscoff McFlurry, the £1.49 one must be minute! They biscuit pieces were on the top (not mixed through the ice cream) but there was a small swirl of caramel .. we are both glad we tried it and both said we wouldn't bother getting another one ... But you may love it. We are going to crush some Biscoff and take it to IKEA next time we go and mix it in with one of their ice creams 😉

Stuck on side of Asda store,very noisy,not a place for a quite coffee or bite to eat.But ok if shopping,but would not use it like a stand alone McDonald's .

Popped in this afternoon to grab a quick bite for my son and couldn't help notice the amazing customer service provided from a member of staff, (Hannah) I think. A gentleman with some serious disability was having difficulty with his order and Hannah stepped in to help, she showed incredible empathy and patience. It was lovely to see and I felt her great work should be applauded. Hannah @ McDonald's Taunton (asda) You are an inspiration to us all.

Waiting to order, guest in front was complaining about literally everything in life, the manager starts talking about inflation and how the company has lost over £20,000 in food. For 15 minutes. After one guest said people are waiting to order, the manager said, “let them wait”. Then goes on about building rapport with customers????? Mate you have other people to serve, you should know that if you work behind a till, it’s fine to talk to people but you need to ensure you’re giving everyone fair and equal service. Not even that deep just annoying as the line was racking up and they didn’t give less of a damn. Also food was stone cold and chicken half cooked in my wrap. Cba, been here a few times and the manager is a knob everytime.

From the time I walked in to order to when I got my food and left there was an old guy awaiting service from the counter. He was ignored by staff and in the end just went and sat down at a table. I find this devastating as I can’t imagine how anyone can do this. I hope this improves in future.

Just appalling. 24 May 2023 @ 7ish pm 25 min wait for 3 standard meals and a happy meal is simply not good enough. “Chocolate” milkshake was just plain milkshake mix. Double quarter was the greasiest burger I have ever got from a McDonalds. Chips where bad. The 12 year old manager on shift was rude when asked to sort out the Milkshake, gave no indication for 5 mins that anyone was for doing anything about it and then proceeded to make snarky remark when questioned why it was taking so long. Clearly useless or badly untrained as no prep had been done for evening shift. We arrived just before the rush and 2 people before us waited just as long. 1 waited 15 mins for 4 flurries. When we left there were maybe 9 orders on the books. Having worked at a McDonalds I know how life can be and this had all the hallmarks of lack of prep, lack of care and lack of staff. This is not my first bad experience at this particular outlet. Go up the road to Hankridge which is mildly better or better bet up to Wellington which at the moment is decent.

Was fairly busy,I needed to pay at the counter as I have a Bluelight Card which can't be used at the payment terminals. Was served very quickly by the Manager who was very courteous and efficient and the food came after only five minutes.

food cold , ordered a egg and bacon muffin without cheese they decided not to give me any egg so I paid over £4 for 2 pieces of bacon in a muffin that was burnt around the edges

Very bad experience. Have been here many times but just keeps getting worse. I asked for some extra mayonnaise in my burger because the app was glitching and wouldn’t let me add it. I was told that it wasn’t possible because apparently it would cost McDonald’s too much. Funny how they can put ketchup or mustard in though isn’t it. Some members of the management team at this restaurant are nice but the staff are clearly not happy with their job and don’t value working for McDonald’s - I asked for some ketchup and the staff member refused to give it to me until I showed them the contents of my order bag. I was absolutely appalled at this and had to ask the manager to get me some ketchup (he was very polite and got it immediately). Needless to say I won’t be coming back here. Not impressed at all.

Missed food. Rude when asked for a refund of missing food. Serious attitude adjustment required. Am I just supposed to accept paying for something I didn’t receive or free food at a future date? Not the first time it’s happened here either. Lack of care and attention to orders, they weren’t even busy.

If a customer is next order and there waiting why do you start serving other people's orders when they was next isn't that the fare the idea behind the order system felt anxious and like a plum..💩💩

This review might sound negative to start however it isn't negative at all. Today is my birthday and also the first time I've seen my kids in a while due to isolating away from them with COVID and not wanting to pass it on to them. I ordered through just eat and when it turned up I was missing a whole meal. I rang up the store and spoke to the manager who informed me if I brought it all back they would replace it all so I did. Not only did the manger process a whole new order it was hot and fresh. She gave us the drinks and desserts we originally order complimentary ontop of everything else that was re ordered. They were very apologetic and nothing was too much for us. I really appreciate what they did for me and my children. Went out of their way to make sure we got the best service. The kindness and understanding shown was wonderful. Truely good customer service right there. Thanks guys!

went to the drive through and when we got given the order it was completely wrong ! went into the restaurant to collect right ordersnd yes again was given wrong order! Im not sure if staff there can actually read!! appalling service

Look, it’s McDonald’s I get it, but on the odd occasion we feel lazy we will order via just eat, we know this is where it comes from, they never ever put the sauces in, even if you put it in bold letters in the description, still don’t get them!! Maybe follow simple instructions or learn to read

Bloody rubbish Last time i ordered a mcmuffin they gave me a pancake! just ordered 2 mcmuffin and hot choclate And They gave me orange juice and an egg mcmuffin when i ordered a bacon and egg?! Just found out when i came back home

Really great visit to this McDonald’s, all staff I came into contact with were really polite and easy to talk to! Food was so hot it was unbelievable! Well done full marks

Good service, friendly staff but they are always out of paper on those self ordering machines so for the first timers over there it's kinda confusing 😕 😳 🙄 The rest it's just like in any other MCDONALD'S, lots of mess on the tables especially if you go in weekends Recommended if you want to grab a fast bite on the go...no drive through,you just have to park in ASDA parking

untidy no one on tables. server seemed clueless and completely uninterested in service. i thought they did soya coffees but apparently not.

Have used this McDonalds several times and Brian who clears the tables etc should get a raise, every time we go in there he is always cleaning.and tidying up very diligently and giving the tots balloons etc the man should be promoted to Manager, thanks, please recognise his work ethic!

Located inside the Asda Superstore. This McDonalds has contactless ordering and seating for dining-in. Eat-in or takeaway. Table service is provided when available. Busy at lunchtime hours. Staff generally friendly and restaurant clean. Very busy during lunchtime hours, seating can be limited at peak times. Can seem gloomy inside as there are no windows due to its location inside the superstore. Food and service were great, we've been here a few times and the experience has been consistent. 5/5

The cleaner here called Mandy is amazing when my kid was upset she went out of her way to make them smile 😁 she need to be given a pat on the back as she makes this place Even when it's really busy she still keeps being happy

Food is standard Maccy D's although we did try the vegan burger and it was really nice. Hints of big tasty burger sauce about it. Service was as fast as it could be for the little place and all the People. Used the self serve order kiosk which is standard now. The atmosphere was rammed, get your food and scarper out to the car to eat it in peace. All in all a pretty standard Maccy D experience.

My 2nd visit in about a month and both times excellent. Food was fresh and hot. Staff friendly when delivering food to tables. Food served in a timely manner. The gentleman who keeps the seating area clean and tidy does a fantastic job, not a chip in sight on the floor ....which is unusual for McDonald's. The best McDonald's in the area.

Busy mcdonalds. Automated drinks machine ignores requests for no ice.

Stopped for some lunch before a food shop. Very busy, no seating room had to take away, lots of noise inside. Printer ran out of paper so not receipt, staff were not checking order numbers as a result. No where to stand and wait for take away. However food was okay as expected.

This is definitely the best Maccie D in Taunton. Staff are always cleaning and friendly around customers. Food is always hot, even the chips are hot. Burgers are moist and tasty. Would never go Hankridge again as had some in there and they were dry and cold. First time I've ever left some McDonald's food. Will only go to Asda one now. The middle aged lady that does the tables is super friendly and a credit to McDonald's. 👍😃

We usually order breakfast from this place and enjoy it thoroughly but we decided to get a quick one for dinner. Our drinks tasted very chemicaly/alcoholic when we drank them. I’m not a complainer as I work in the food industry too but something really wasn’t right with our drinks. I called up to complain about it and had a rude lady on the other end just brushing it off and telling me to contact just eat. Not impressed. I’m not sure if some of the cleaning products got into the drink or the drink was mixed with Fanta or something but a new drink should have been made if the person realised what happened. And also a simple sorry about your experience wouldn’t go a miss if you want to keep your regulars.

My usual McDonald's when I'm around Taunton, if only for the fact that the McFlurry and milkshake machine actually works compared to the one in town. The staff are helpful and friendly, so that's a bonus.

Service is always soo slow. Food never comes out the warmest, and the amount of times they mess orders up is unreal. It's okay for a bite to eat while shopping in asda

Just popped in early evening after arriving back from Bristol Airport. Took ages to get served but noticed the manager was shoving the prepared food on the top and some box lids were opening because of his rough handling. One girl was showing no signs of urgency. Also it appeared that the delivery guys were getting priority over us. Despite eating in we got our food in a takeaway bag the coffee was barely warm as they were made far too early and sat on the side. I don't think they could cope and in the end turned off the electronic ordering points. The rubbish at the waste point was piled high and I mentioned it to the lady who clears the tables and she said she had just been called in to do it. Having said that the rubbish bins in the carpark were over flowing with rubbish which makes the area untidy. Overall not an experience I would like to come across again at this branch of McDonald's.

Staff are restarted put drinks on top of food then drinks have opened and went all over the food where it can’t be eaten staff are so lazy and disrespectful and disgusting wouldn’t recommend the place at all

Waited longer than it took for my partner to shop then there was a tray liner in the burger!

Disgusting place. My fries were half of what they should. When I've opened my burger box I found piece of paper rubbish stuck to the bun. Very disappointing.
