The best restaurants in Wycombe South East

Probably the best Chinese takeaway in High Wycombe. Not on any of the bigger apps so a little bit less convenient, but it is much better than the big app alternatives. All the classics, food always hot and well prepared.

Great place / friendly/ good service one of the best around this & the bell - top pubs In princess risbough il be a regular for sure - as I’m new to the area I’ve been to all the locals water holes & this & as I’ve said the bell -are the top two in my opinion

The tail-end of the fish was delivered. I called in, was told " sorry and goodbye". The food used to be great quality and size, now it's just a waste of money. The last time i ordered from here.

last time in here was 5 years ago didnt think much of it then was a bit too trendy then but glad to say its went back to being a proper cafe ,nice cooked breakfasts ,coffee lovely and not expensive service was really good and friendly no complaints

Hidden little gem ... proper (home) cooked food like lasange, sweet chilli chicken and salmon. The cafe has a great community atmosphere, I have made friends from going there. Very obliging to change or amend the menu as Im often on special diets. A really decent coffee, and a great place for young people to pick up some work experience.

Turned up for a late lunch with the family, told 'we don't do food, haven't for years'. Decided to stay for a drink; slow service, rude (bar staff just stood there staring at us), and then some kid tried to sell us drugs from a menu on his phone. Real classy place. Certainly won't be returning.

We are new to the area and were greeted for lunch with amazing customer service and smiles , the two ladies on shift were very attentive and friendly. Our food was yummy and our coffees were nice too- we loved the heart coffee art ( a nice touch ) Will be visiting here again very soon!

I've moved out of the area now but whenever I'm over in High Wycombe visiting family, we make sure to pop in - the food is great, fantastic portion sizes and staff are always very friendly - highly recommend!

Team is always very friendly and helpful and there's a fantastic range of food and a nice place to sit. It is rare nowadays to find a sandwich place that handmade sandwiches with fresh ingredients and fresh bread and I don't mind paying a bit more for the privilege.

Great food, good selection for whole family. Good quality and generous portions. Staff very pleasant. Decor clean and up to date. Shame they are being hit by the closure of the bridge as we had a lovely meal - the venue should be buzzing on a Friday night.

Looking at the sample menu and claims that the local people rate this venue highly, I can only assume they are still operating under Covid conditions. The menu is very basic bar food - think burger and chips, fish and chips, pizza ( choice of pepperoni or nowt) and a selection of sandwiches. Extremely disappointed. Have stayed with this Chain of hotels before albeit pre Covid and the food was fabulous. Not so here.

How do you make 'The best Pub In Bucks' better? Now please understand, this pub has deserved this title for many years. It has been an establishment that has been awesome compared to the other places in town. What I would call a 'Proper Pub'. However, after winning this award last year you always wonder if it can consistently achieve this title or can they do more? They have! Their recent hiring of a barman. Who's name I belive is Dwayne or Wayne (apologies for being wrong either way, my hearing isnt what it used to be), has bought this pub to the next level. Now this is not a dig at the current staff and already amazing landlady Kirsten, but this guy has made this place even better. Whilst his demeanour can come across a bit grumpy (and who wouldn't when you're dealing with a bunch of half drunk people), he has a heart of gold. Not only does he remember your round of drinks, whomever you are with, he makes everything very personal each time he is there. He remembers when you took your kids or grandkids in my case, down the pub, will always allow them to pick their crisps and will always ask how they are. Personal service means a lot in this game and the addition of this guy has turned this place from a 10/10 to a 11/10 Well done Kirsten for finding the final piece of your already well made puzzle.

Well, they have just lost a fairly regular customer today. I went there this Sat afternoon with my two daughters to have hot drinks. The ladies at the till were lovely, as always. We ordered and sat outside as there were lots of empty tables. While having our 3 hot drinks we also had our snacks as my kids are quite fussy about their food. A member of staff came up to me saying we can’t have other food here. I said that we are having hot drinks from here but she repeated that we can’t have our own food here. I said we’d leave shortly. I noticed that there was another family who were only having drinks and a box of supermarket cupcakes and they were not told anything. I think staff should be really careful about how they treat their customers, especially now with the new popular cafe being open at the other end of the park. On another note, they serve quite small drinks for the price: hot chocolate £4, latte £4. Definitely won’t be going back, shame as we have gone there dozens of times over the years 😕

Excellent dessert shop. We really enjoyed our experience here and our dessert was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the staff for letting us taste flavours before committing to them and for the generous portions- rare to see these days and very much appreciated
