Great pub with a fantastic atmosphere. Food was lovely and the staff were really attentive. Great for family’s/ drinks with friends. Would highly recommend to anyone.

First time ordering from them. Would I order agin, yes if the food was hot. chips arrived and was like rubber as cold and burger was luke warm. Definitely not worth the money they charge. Sorry to say. Was looking forward to the food but very disappointed.

Despite going on recommendation, we had a disappointing experience here and left after just our main meal. On the positive, the staff were attentive. However, the service felt very transactional and not personal at all. The food was very basic, inadequately seasoned and poor value for money. 10 days later, we received a parking ticket, despite having followed the instructions and registering our vehicle at the restaurant as a patron. We appealed the ticket which was struck off. The venue may have a different vibe when it's busy, but we won't be returning.

In PR for a birthday event. One night here. Unusual pub, half cafe. Had a couple of drinks when we arrived, decent beers, bar snacks rather expensive. Clean, newly refurbished room, bathroom not refurbished to the same level, excellent breakfast tray included. Pretty good stay.

Food was average. Chunky chips were £3.50 and ypu only get 10! Felt cheated. No where near as good as it was. Sadly won't be returning.

Chips were ok but the burger was not great. However a week later got a parking fine of £60 for using the pub's car park. We did not see any signs regarding parking. Not impressed.

Was here for a comedy evening last night, and had a superb fun evening, The acts were overall funny, with 3 acts being particularly sharp witted.The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the food was excellent, overall great value for money and a great venue , would highly recommend and look forward to returning

We were in Princes Risborough for our sons Birthday and Booked night at the George and Dragon . It was excellent staff very friendly.room was exceptionally clean recently decorated . Bed very comfortable really good nights Sleep Although the room overlooks Gardens and car park.exceptionally quiet Breakfast is continental I am not normally a fan of them,but this one as changed my mind Really enjoyed it . Plenty of parking space We didn’t eat in restaurant, but saw meals looked really good Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay fully recommend

The George and Dragon serves excellent meals and the staff are great too. It's an attractive little town, but a bit sleepy regarding nightlife; something this reopened hostelry with its mainly new team of lovely staff are starting to put right with a programme of evening events. There's parking, or you can wander down the picturesque High Street and access this gem of a venue with a central position. Where better to while away a pleasant evening or lunchtime? I look forward to many future visits.

My partner and I arrived at the George and Dragon on September 11th in the evening. We were attending a friends birthday party nearby. When we arrived to our dismay the manager told us he didn’t have a deluxe room available, which is what we booked via booking.com. The manager then went on to offer us a standard double room which is clearly not what we booked. The manager did not think to be professional and inform us in advance that the room we booked was not in-fact the one he would be giving us. We travelled 2 hours to get to The George and Dragon. At the time we were in a hurry to get to the party. At that time of night it would have been unlikely we would have been able to find another hotel at such short notice. The manager offered us a £20 credit which was the price difference between the deluxe room and standard room. He refused to give us a refund of £20 which was shocking as it would be highly unlikely we would return to Princess Risborough in the near future because we live 2 hours away. It was unravelling that this was clearly a massive stitch up so after our birthday party we decided to drive 2 hours back to our home and not stay at the George and Dragon Hotel. We posted the room key through the pub door and wrote a polite email kindly asking for a refund only to get the most shocking response refusing to issue us with a refund. The manager made up lies claiming we had accepted his apology and threatened to report us if we left a review which reflected our experience with them. On this basis we would we happy to identify ourselves if such an investigation took place. We are now going to raise a dispute with booking.com to seek a refund on our room for the above reasons.

Very nice burger and beer - had a favourite of mine on tap (neck oil) and were very friendly and helpful. Burgers come pink in the middle which is also my favourite.

I dropped in for lunch, ordered a Chicken Caesar salad for £9 and was extremely disappointed. At first sight it appeared to present a generous portion but once I started to dig in it turned out to be a lot less. Served in a bowl, which was filled to the brim with basic green salad leaves coated in caesar dressing. On the top was about 8 tiny pieces of chicken and a very small amount of croutons. Hardly any Parmesan cheese. I would suggest that the ingredient value amounted to no more than £1. Sorry guys at the pub but you need to do much better.

Conscious that management has already responded to one young lady who rightly stated that they had no child changing facilities by suggesting they go to wizz kids and proceeded to mock the customer, so I’ll keep this short and sweet:- Awful. Arrived at 9pm and popped in only to be greeted by confusion. The bar staff proceeded to then turn off lights and stack up chairs - despite listed closing not being until 10pm. Finished pint in the dark and headed to the toilet for a wizz, only to then have to use a screw as a door handle to exit! Luckily this place won’t survive! I’ll give them until November then fingers crossed - actual hospitality! lol. Staff the worst!

Great atmosphere, and lovely food. Would recommend going on a Thursday night for some live music. You won’t regret it!

The best night out. Book a table early as they go quick! Service is brilliant, the night is fantastic! We love the George !!!

Shocking baby change facilities no baby change and they store baby high chairs in the toilet! The pub is rustic and ok inside and the staff are friendly but I think they need to think out side the box this is not a family friendly...
