Chicken and chicken plus more chicken. Verry nice chicken I love chicken plus it's chicken and more chicken . And weigh more chicken

It was nice but the prawn crackers were inedible and stale. Please make fresh prawn crackers in the future. We liked the spring rolls though.

The Golden House takeaway has recently changed hands and the new management have really excelled them selves, the food is fabulous, everything is fresh and tastes amazing, it is one of the best chinese takeaways we have ever had, we wish them every success for the future, if you haven't tried it yet give it a go you won't be disappointed, parking can be a bit difficult but can usually find a place close by don't be put off

I’ve been a regular customer of Wonder Wok in Monks Risborough for years, and have always been pleased with their food. So, I thought I’d try Golden House to see how they compared . I was lucky with parking, able to pull in right outside . Friendly welcome, take away ready and piping hot . The food was good and tasty , but overall, I think Wonder Wok have the edge . Worth a visit though .

Friends told us this Chinese takeaway was under new management and was now very good. For many years it had a very bad name locally for food and cleanliness. This weekend we tried it again for the first time in over 20 years and the improvement is staggering, it is very clean and newly decorated and the food was very very good, variety, quality and quantity were first class and we will certainly eat from here again. 2 things to Improve, could not find menu on internet and apparently it is only on their Facebook page, would suggest a web page with full menu. They do not take credit cards only debit card and cash.

We have recently enjoyed two meals from Golden House and the food on both occasions was very good. We chose different dishes each time and found them all to be tasty and full of fresh ingredients without the nasty aftertaste you get sometimes from Chinese food. The phone was answered quickly, they helped with the extensive menu and the food was still hot when I brought it home. We all throughouly enjoyed the dishes and will be ordering again soon. The family who have turned the business around have recently moved over from HK are working really hard to make this a success.

We always avoided this Chinese in the past as it just didn’t look very appealing ,well that has all changed now since being under NEW MANAGEMENT The phone was answered straight away on a Saturday night for our order which was ready to be collected within 20-25 minutes. The shop front is now very inviting,nice & bright now all those horrible plants in the windows have gone. The food was excellent,oh how we have missed a good Chinese takeaway. Highly recommend a visit,we will definitely be using again.

I’ve lived in the area for five years and driven past this takeaway many times but was always put off by the appearance of the shopfront and the terrible reviews when it was run by the previous owners I saw the menu come through the letterbox this week and saw that it was under new management. A quick check on Trip Advisor had positive recent reviews so I thought I’d give it a try. I’m happy to report the food was delicious with everything freshly cooked. They’ve made the place look more appealing as well which always helps. Parking nearby is limited but it’s definitely worth the effort as it’s the best Chinese that I’ve had in the area. I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu in the coming weeks

We’ve eaten at Golden House once before over 10 years ago and it was so bad we never went back until now. It’s been taken over by some lovely people who moved from Hong Kong to Princes Risborough in August. I’m so pleased they have chosen Risborough as their new home as the food and service are very good. Light non greasy batter, lovely soup, very tasty mains, no noticeable MSG so you’re not dying of thirst and getting a headache. We had a lovely meal, and we will be going back again and again. We welcome them to Risborough and wish them all the best with their new business venue, let’s hope when they get established they might open a restaurant in town. :)

Visited my granny last weekend and saw the new menu. Ordered to share with family and all food exceed our expectations. We all give our thumbs up. Though they do not do delivery at the mo, I guarantee you it worths the travel. It's amazing that the food is not as oily as u imagine what takeaway is. Food are in good portion, tasty, not oily, just mouth watering. It just ticks all the boxes of a takeaway. Will definitely become our family's favorite.

This takeaway is now under new management. We tried it last weekend and were so impressed that we ordered again this weekend! The food was really tasty and the lady that runs it was so friendly and helpful. We tried a variety of dishes and were really happy. A great addition to Princes Risborough!

So sorry for this place. Was empty on a Thursday ( the other one in PR is too busy) and I know why. Chicken was like rubber in greasy tasteless chow mien. I had a take away years ago from this place and thought it was okay, but threw most of it away. Won’t go back

I have lived in Risborough over 50 years this was the first takeaway to come to town and has always been a good quality Chinese Yes it is small but the food is well cooked and tasty. I don’t know the agenda of the other review but it in no way represents the Golden House I use. The sweet and sour chicken balls are always great quality chicken breast I have always believed it to be the best Chinese in town.

Dreadful little take away in Princes Risborough. Was very shocked at how badly cooked everything was. Seaweed - Burnt and very greasy. Peaking Duck - Slimy. The sauce was the consistency of wallpaper paste. Salt & Pepper Ribs - Old, dry and covered in cheap ground pepper. Vile. Chilli Beef - Burnt pieces of old meat. The most foul thing I ordered. Chicken curry - in a watery tasteless gravy. Egg fried rice - They even managed to mess that up. Probably the most disgusting take away I have ever tried to eat.
