I've moved out of the area now but whenever I'm over in High Wycombe visiting family, we make sure to pop in - the food is great, fantastic portion sizes and staff are always very friendly - highly recommend!

Only popped in for cheesy chips, how hard can that be to get right? Some chips were re-heated, very dark brown, soggy and greasy, others were hardly cooked and very pale. All mixed together in the tray with a handful of grated cheese thrown on the top. Yuk, steer clear and visit tummy fillers instead is my advice. Worst chips ever (trust me, I’m not fussy), should get zero stars.

Never had a bad order yet. Fish was very tasty and not greasy. Chips cooked to perfection and not greasy. They are the best fish and chips served by friendly staff.

Been going here for years and they’ve never let me down, portion sizes always huge (a small chips feeds at least two people) and food always tasty, the owner (think his name is Kim?) is lovely too. Best of all though is the price, cheaper than so many other chip shops!

The owner (Chinese Chap) is a nice bloke and always greets me with a smile. The food is good and chips portion is big and freshly cooked. We like to support this family run business - keep up the good work!

Went here tonight at 5.45pm and got two Cod and one chips. Well it was absolutely disgusting. My partner throw his straight in the bin it was that bad. The chips were all bits and the batter was soggy. I didn't realise anyone could get fish and chips so wrong. Staff were also rude when I walked in, she raised her eyes at me never spoke I gave my order and she still never spoke then another girl told me how much it was. WONT BE GOING THERE AGAIN!!

We've bought from here before and they didn't disappoint. Lovely fish, light batter and good portion of chips. Well worth a visit.

Best fish and chips we have had, hands down. Local, friendly and reasonably priced. What more can you want on a Friday night!

Great fresh fish and chips to get in the area. Waiting time can be long but is worth it to get a freshly fried piece of fish. Not too bad a price either. Would I recommend them? Yes

We always use the big dish, passing other fish and chip shops to get there. The price is about average but the portion size is more than generous. In fact, with my husband we buy one large cod and share it as it is that big, always crispy batter and fresh.

I haven't been to The Big Dish for years but will be back. The cod was freshly cooked and huge. The chips were the best ever. My partner and I had a large cod and chips each and really couldn't,eat it all. Less than £ 11, bargain.both very tasty.

We have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2011 and the place never disappoints. You can tell just how good it is by the queue of people inside. Unlike some places in town, the fish is what it is supposed to be not some nondescript white fish. Chips are always cooked to perfection. Staff have always been friendly and the food is great value for money in that you get what you pay for. A proper old fashioned chippy!

I was in the area last week, and to be honest I was lost I parked out side the big dish and decided to have some lunch before trying to find where I was looking for, the young man in the shop was very polite very helpful told me where I had gone wrong on my travels, his chips were gorgeous hopefully if I ever get lost again I will be going back. Thank you so much for the warm welcome

We went to the Big Dish just before Christmas as our local fish & chip shop had closed at 9pm (on a Saturday evening!). We arrived just after it had closed at 10pm and could see someone was still in the shop so we knocked on the door. Mr Kim (the owner) came to the door and invited us in and offered to serve us as his oil was still hot. At that time he didn't know whether we just wanted a plate of chips or a large order. As it turned out we needed 7 orders so he was really happy. He served us extra-large portions and gave us some free Coke and curry sauce. He was a lovely friendly guy who was really trying to be helpful. I thought this type of service had disappeared. The food was really good so I've now changed from my previous f&c shop and now regularly use Mr Kim at The Big Dish.
