How do you make 'The best Pub In Bucks' better? Now please understand, this pub has deserved this title for many years. It has been an establishment that has been awesome compared to the other places in town. What I would call a 'Proper Pub'. However, after winning this award last year you always wonder if it can consistently achieve this title or can they do more? They have! Their recent hiring of a barman. Who's name I belive is Dwayne or Wayne (apologies for being wrong either way, my hearing isnt what it used to be), has bought this pub to the next level. Now this is not a dig at the current staff and already amazing landlady Kirsten, but this guy has made this place even better. Whilst his demeanour can come across a bit grumpy (and who wouldn't when you're dealing with a bunch of half drunk people), he has a heart of gold. Not only does he remember your round of drinks, whomever you are with, he makes everything very personal each time he is there. He remembers when you took your kids or grandkids in my case, down the pub, will always allow them to pick their crisps and will always ask how they are. Personal service means a lot in this game and the addition of this guy has turned this place from a 10/10 to a 11/10 Well done Kirsten for finding the final piece of your already well made puzzle.

Best pub in wycombe, kirsten and chris are legends. Really friendly staff, jukebox, dartboard, good selection of drinks. Stuff of dreams, 10/10

We were visiting High Wycombe and as the four of us like cask beer, we were glad to stumble upon this pub. The staff were very welcoming & helpful with our choice of drink, which was well pulled & presented. The pub was nice & tidy and the tables clean, with a friendly vibe about the place. We sank a few & enjoyed our visit

Been coming in here for about 20 years now and seen various landlords,all of which have been extremely welcoming. The current Landlady is extremely warm and friendly to all customers. The prices are extremely cheap. So much so I'd rather drink here than the usual cheap pubs.This is a proper pub where you feel you are more than just a punter.Never seen any trouble in all that time. I don't understand some melon giving this place one star. In my opinion by far and away the friendliest pub in the town centre.

Very friendly, proper boozer, a dying breed in the UK. Had pre theatre drinks here and were welcomed by Kirsten and Chris and were lovely people, not to mention Bruce (woof woof). Definitely worth popping in for a beer if you like a real pub.

4 of us dropped in for a pint before going for a meal. Was immediately struck by friendliness of users & behind the bar. Very nice pint of Birra Moretti. The bar is light & airy , dog friendly. Outdoor sitting area. We liked the Rose & Crown very much - a proper pub. Thanks.

Staying in Travelodge in town center, wanted a Kebab and was told to walk past Pizza Express to find best Kebabs. Couldn't resist a pint and happened on The Rose and Crown, what a lovely place, amazingly cheap drinks, and incredibly friendly atmosphere. Ended up staying for 2 hours, so so friendly. Kebab from Turkish place just down the road was top notch.

Popped in for a swift half & ended up staying for a few glass jars!!! Had a fantastic time chatting to the lovely Louise behind the bar & a few of the locals. Will definitely be popping in for a swift half next time I’m in town.

the Rose and Crown is a brilliant place if you like a drink and a laugh. the landlady and her staff are great very accommodating and polite stay in their good books and you end up their friends. so long as you don't take the piss your fine. the regulars are just insane which is a good thing if they were normal i would be bored stiff. the drinks are clean and well looked after the pub has a caskmarque so it speaks for itself. 99.9% of the time the atmosphere is great until some twit decides to ruin it for everyone else but those incidents are very short lived and have little to no effect on anyone.

Absolutely vile attitude from the landlady. Asked for ID - was handed it with a smile for a packet of crisps and still proceeded to bad mouth us across HER joint as SHE is the land lady and SHE can still hear us 2 meters away. All I asked my pal was if he was in the wrong... She horribly spoke to us all probably thinking I’d say nothing. But truth of the matter is the R&C is nothing to us all now.

Went into this pub for a quiet beer with a few friends one evening, huge mistake! Rude bar staff, landlady and landlord were rude and aggressive, both looking for trouble. Landlady had no customer service skills... beer was ok for the price but would suggest its near the end of its life, certainly wasn’t fresh. Group of old guys playing poker in the corner. Bit like the nags head from only fools and horses.

A very nice pub with a good rage of beers to suit almost all tastes. A good atmosphere in which to meet friends or go as a group.and good food too.
