The best restaurants in St Paul Winchester South East

Very good food as usual. Very much recommended. Piro paneer and chicken shashlik was very good. Would recommend for anyone. Friendly staff

Got into Winchester and had an hour to kill. Found this place near the station and grabbed a coffee and a pan au chocolate - both were fantastic. Multiple plugs to charge laptops/mobiles and good wifi.

Beautiful wood fired pizza, fresh and delivered to our table. Great service and excellent menu choices. We came to The Railway Inn to see live music and were pleasantly surprised to see the pizzas on offer! Delicious

I wrote a review for this place a few years ago ( I work around the corner so have been using this place for a long time) I felt like I needed a new one, the staff are brilliant here, I cannot fault their service, they are friendly and know what I want before I've even asked. The chef is a very polite and friendly man, and all the girls are brilliant too. Highly recommend visiting this Cafe if you are in Winchester!

Very welcoming and great coffee - a really great place as it was so cold and the start of the museum trail. So worth a visit for a hot or cold drink with a snack

Really nice Café in Fulflood. It has a beautiful interior/exterior. Came with my daughter for brunch. Had lots of different options. Lovely coffee too! The staff was kind and attentive. I can see this place becoming one of my new favourite lunch spots.

We ordered a take away lastnight 07/02/2025 the worst food l've ever recieved and eating The korma for my daughter was water not sauce the chicken was so hard it could not be eating The byrani was also the same chicken was solid and not edible the naan was soggy so we needed up just eating popadoms and mint sauce The onion bajis were over cooked solid what a waste of £35 very very disappointing avoid at all costs !!!! First and definitely the last time eating from there

Until today Bangkok Bistro was our favourite restaurant for Thai food in Winchester, but we decided to try Tanoshii Fusion today and it's now firmly in the No 1 position! As per the name the food is a fusion of Asian cuisine but it's Thai that we prefer. We had a Thai Green King Prawn curry, Tamarind Duck, King Prawn Pad Thai and sticky rice. All dishes were cooked and presented beautifully. There wee plenty of Prawns in both dishes and the duck was a single piece with leg and breast and with a nice crunch to the skin. The bill was very reasonable. Although the restaurant is a little way out of town, it is not far at all and definitely worth the stroll up the hill.

Great food, great coffee, great people, great prices. Little touches like a biscoff biscuit with the coffee means a lot.

Lovely staff, great beer and live music

We stayed for one night. It was great, the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and had a good sense of humour. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Would definitely go back if in Winchester again. Our review overlooked the nearby church which was great when there was a wedding the following day.

We had lunch at Pi with three children just before Christmas. Really fantastic food and Andrea was lovely, very sweet with the children and looked after us wonderfully. We will definitely be back

Possibly the best pub in the country, visited on Sunday for lunch, arriving early to get a walk in table. Excellent choice of beers, I tried the two new brews, both excellent. Had the venison main, truly superb, service immaculate as always. Perfect!

Read about this place in MCN so stopped off when in the area for lunch on a Monday. Unfortunately it failed to live up to reports. Food expensive for what it is, not great quality and slow to arrive despite there only being a dozen people in the cafe. Staff just about managed to talk to customers. Probably better when more bikers about but otherwise I wouldn't bother going back. Should be interesting when the new Caffine and Machine on the other side of the road opens later in the month and provides some competition.
