Amazing sea bass supreme, cooked to perfection (Please don't ever take it off the menu)! The pub has such a lovely atmosphere and has the perfect level of background noise for having a cheeky lunch and a "couple" of drinks. The staff all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure everything is up to standard. Although it can be busy at times, that's only because of how much everyone loves the pub! Please be kind to staff at busy times as they're doing they're clearly doing their best. I'd advise to book as it's so popular.

Very pretty pub, with scrubbed tables and tasteful decor. Beer not available as were changing barrels. Booked a table for 5 on a Saturday. Welcome not great. All our food came out at different times, at one point 20 minutes. However, the chap who cleared the tables was great. Reasonable prices.

This used to be a lovely country pub with its associated brewery - but not any more. Been a couple of times over the last year and found it crowded but just about bearable. Arrived for an early pre-booked dinner this time and found the (very large) car park already totally rammed......after just about finding a space to park, entering the pub was like hitting a wall of noise; all tables occupied and nobody showing any interest in speaking to us at the bar. So we left and went somewhere much more pleasnt; dont expect to be hurrying back to the Pots any time soon

Went in this morning for toast and coffee. The toast was bearly warm let alone toasted, one side was still totally uncooked. We asked for marmite with IT, and was given marmalade, when I said we wanted marmite I was told we don't have any! We only got 1 small pack of butter per slice which hardly covered half of it. The coffee was the worst coffee we have ever had in any costa we have visited. It all looked really unclean and dirty. The staff member who served us was rude, I think she thought she we doing us a favour. RUBBISH BREAKFAST AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, IN A DIRTY ENVIRONMENT.

We booked Sunday lunch with my sister and brother in law, we wanted to try the Chestnut Horse with the intention to book for Christmas. The starters were lovely but not to be said for the main course, my sister and I had the roast beef, the beef was cut thickly and the whole plate full was verging on cold, my sister order extra cauliflower cheese which arrived towards the end of her meal. We ordered puddings, my sisters came first, ice cream, and ours arrived half an hour later and was not fully as we ordered. The staff were very pleasant and apologetic. Such a shame for a lovely country pub.

Goodbye to the worst Italian restaurant I have ever visited. Two years ago it was a great venue. Two weeks ago it was a disaster. A waitress was spraying chemicals everywhere while I was eating. Before I had finished my main course a waiter started sweeping beneath my table. He then told me that if I wanted a dessert I was too late because they were closing. When I entered the restaurant my greeting was : 'We close at nine, so you need to get a move on'. Other diners were receiving the same treatment, and in 20 years of eating out I have never witnessed such unprofessional behaviour from staff. Today it closed permanently, and good riddance to it.
