Handy for a drink and food for those who are visiting the hospital for some reason or working at RHCH.

Good food and friendly staff providing good service. My only complaint is it is very noisy when busy and resonates around the whole room.

Been in the hospital for a week and alot of new baristas in training so service can be a bit up and down as been quite a few times. Had a flat white today from Dani with a lovely Rosetta art and tasted great. Dani also happily heated up my hot food for my too good to go back with 4 toasties.

Everything was ok, but a major complaint I have is with their being flies on the fruitcakes and cookies on the display. Considering this is a hospital cafe, I see that as a very big health risk and not a good look considering the location.

Since new staff the place looks kept clean and tables cleared , wiped and a ok selection

Needs must as a coffee shop in a hospital. Extremely busy and it suffers as a result. Dirty tables, stressed staff and sub standard coffee being served. Cake was very nice though.

Could do with a bigger premises or more staff, the ones on duty we run off their feet. They were still polite and did a good job though.

Awful service and so slow! Asked for a vegan hot chocolate then was given a drink with cream. I asked for a new one and the barista turned to me and said “I’ll just take the cream off, you won’t be able to tell” Well I’m afraid I’m a vegan for allergies not out of choice so no thank you. Awful

The coffee always taste bitter and service is slow, especially when busy, but staff friendly

wasn't quite sure how to get to but lovely staff and quick service I came whilst at the library it was nearby to west downs campus!

The new after eight hour coffee is good but only comes in small and medium? Grow up and let me have a large.

Very expensive and very slow they take forever to provide you the goods. Drinks take forever as they are more busy with other things you waste more time to wait than in any other Costa that I ever visited.

A nice little costa coffee- a bit on the slow side especially as they only have 1 oven to warm food. After a couple of orders the food backs up causing a bit of a traffic jam at the drinks counter while the food is que'd.

Very expensive and limited stock of gluten free foods. Tasty though. Service wad pleasant but very slow. A bit dated cramped... due to staff ' fencing off' an area with chairs. This caused crowding in the restaurant. Very poor and lazy when covid is still predominant, this is still worse as this restaurant is part of a hospital complex

Always come in here when we are at the hospital it has a one way system and they have removed alot of the seating for social distanceing

Wouldn't even rate this store a 1 star but!!! Staff are rude and blunt, especially the ginger one she needs to work on smiling and washing her hands. I was in the store for over an hour and not once did she or any other member of staff wash her hands and she was touching money then making food and drinks. To make things worse I ordered a takesway tea and she put her unwashed hands inside the cup then proceed to make the drink. I know full well that from till to drinks hand should be washed. So why that now the virus is about and its a hospital store are not one member of staff washing hands. Absolutely disgusting!

Used to be the friendliest, most efficient cafe in Winchester, until some bright spark at Head Office got rid of all the staff. Now, the service is so slow, and the resulting queues so long that it's no longer possible for staff on a half hour lunch break to use the place...

Costa Packet can never in its defence get more than a three star review. The staff in this shop are polite, only look down on people very occasionally and are quick at their job.

Went in here with my one year old grandson while my wife attended an appointment. It was very busy and obviously popular. When I placed my order the lady behind the counter could see that I was struggling with the baby, the buggy and two bags and offered to bring my order to the table even though there were lots of people waiting. What service. Good clean high chair and the usual excellent coffee and a mince pie. Thank you Costa.

Loved my cheese twist and cold coffee. Service is usually good but this way it was a bit too chaotic.

Good coffee. This time I choose latte with coconut milk and was wonderful. The taste of coffee is nice and delicious. The places is nice, good atmosphere and friendly staff. I like to drink my coffee and read the newspaper in the morning in Costa coffee place. Thanks for the great service. You make my day nice.

In hospital grounds it serves well and does everything expected of it

This is great, friendly little coffee shop to cone and grab a drink and cake. There are comfy seats and plenty of tabled seating.

Great place for socializing & a decent quick snack or somewhere to relax in Winchester hospital near restaurant. Food excellent & coffee quite expensive but very luxurious, worth a visit. A nice treat after a visit at the hospital. Nice relaxing seating area, small but spacious, nice treat at Christmas or anytime in the year.

It was very quiet which was very nice after a stressful hospital appointment

Service was not good and was very expensive

Service was great but sandwich selection was poor. I can't eat cheese and everything had cheese in it, even a Christmas pigs under blankets which surely only needed cranberry.

The experience at Costa is excellent. The staff are incredibly polite and the orders are done quickly. The drinks are high quality and always taste delicious.

Costa coffee in Winchester hospital,is a clean pleasant place, with reasonable prices, in line with the high street, also available are small cakes and snacks,and a small shop selling the essentials that a person would require for a hospital stay
