The best restaurants in Hailey, Minster Lovell and Leafield West Oxfordshire South East

We have been here several times over the years but this visit was our last. The vegetarian options were disappointing and they always grew their own vegetables as much as they could in the kitchen garden, but when we had a walk around this time, the area was overgrown and neglected. Food was ok but nothing special. Staff were friendly enough but when we asked for the high service charge to be removed as we were entitled to, their mood changed and they became very rude, Not sure where the original manager/owner and staff have gone but we won’t be returning.

A very nice restaurant, the ambiance is great and a good selection on the menu. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had the sausages and my partner the burger, they were locally sourced and had a great flavour. Could totally see that the pub is using g local ingredients, a great plus.

A have been out for Sunday roasts but this was by far the best I have ever had. Quality beef & trimmings, portion so big, I needed a doggy bag & demolished the next day! Friendly warm atmosphere! Sticky toffee is to die for!! I will be back!

Superb family meal . Every person in the party of 7 said it was the best meal they have ever had .No suprise to myself and my wife who already knew that from many visits previously! Faultless service . The food is out of this world good . All fresh ingredients and you can tell by the quality they have a first class chef behind the scenes . No frozen rubbish here ! Absolutely gorgeous meal! Don’t listen to the previous and recent reviews! Our first visit to The Pearl after a friend recommended it to us. We had, In my opinion, the best takeaway we’ve had for years! Non greasy, non oily, but extremely tasty, freshly cooked and fantastic value for money. The best thing for me was the sweet and sour chicken balls, ( the sauce was perfect and a natural colour, lovely consistency unlike other takeaways in the area) and the pork dumplings, wow, absolute heaven! Also the crispy chilli beef was fab! Highly recommend and will definitely return.

We had a great family Sunday lunch, beautiful warm pub , friendly and superb service, with excellent food . Could not fault it. Definitely recommend, but you will need to book as others know about how great it is.

Chinese New Year. Fantastic food and service. Cantonese Lamb Chops were amazing, Taiwanese Fried Chicken sent Col. Saunders for an early bath. Absolute favourite was the egg noodle chow mein with duck. Running Chocolate with Banana foam and roasted banana ice cream a hit too. Service was great. We were served by Nik who was attentive and friendly. Quality of food spoke for itself. I'm sure they haven't drafted in a Chinese Chef, their chef's know what they're doing and don't need it. Thank you.

Visited the White Hart for family dinner , just a few minutes walk from The Cottage . Great local ambience and all enjoyed the meal and our first evening together in the Cotswolds. Staff friendly and attentive though a little haphazard to start but this was graciously corrected by waiving the charge for the delayed starters. Looking forward to future visits to The Cottage and to the White Hart. Thorview

We were originally seated by a door which was letting in a draft . We asked to be moved. A young waiter was asked. He really didn’t want to move us despite there being several no shows. He went over to another member of staff and said “you sort it, they want to move” it was really rude. Food was ok…… lacked seasoning and despite menu sounding impressive it isn’t quite there yet.

Visited three times over the course of a week whilst staying in the village. Food was consistently excellent, in fact the burger I had was one of the best I’ve ever had. Good atmosphere, service and prices. What more could you ask for.
