The best restaurants in Brenchley and Horsmonden Tunbridge Wells South East

A friendly and warm local cafe with decent fare and abundance of charm. A beautiful location that will never get old. The brunch menu was very much that, with everything you would expect and although with tweaks things could be made better they were all really solid, and we did not leave disappointed. Decent value and swift service, meant we were in and out quickly. Definitely more a cafe and bar than an eatery, but with that in mind you should be all set. Definitely recommended.

We are totally spoilt having this pub as our local. We visit at least once a week for either a superb Sunday lunch or a delicious pizza early evening. They have just changed the wine list and I can highly recommend the Provence rose. If you are a vegetarian the hispi cabbage is to die for. Lovely staff can't recommend enough...

Such a friendly cafe. Busy but a table was soon cleared and wiped down for us. Large pot of tea and toasted sandwich’s all delicious. Cakes looked good hopefully next time as will be back.

Didn't go into The Castle pub.we hear it only sales drink no food, from the outside it looks like nobody is living there and very untidy

Had a couple of parties here, which in the past have been ok, but recently at a family party, I had fish and chips that was cold, I had tasted the end and the fish was broken in half, I mentioned and they said the would heat it up..... For context I have a medical condition..... Waiter left, returned a minute later with the broken fish having been dipped back in the fryer and sodden with oil and inedible, not good, even though I hadn't eaten, annoying as everyone around me was eating and I felt self conscious, but not a problem with said medical condition..... When I went to pay, I said I have paid the £5 deposit each for myself and my partner, so please just take that off my partners meal..... To then be told I had to pay for my meal in full as "it had been cooked"..... After much discussion we came to an agreement, but definitely not the best food or customer service for me..... And stocks of certain very popular drinks were depleted and they were out of stock by 18:30pm

We went to this pub unexpectedly for Sunday lunch. It’s was so good. The pub was busy both with food and without but despite this the staff were really friendly. The food arrived promptly and didn’t disappoint it was plentiful and yummie… the price point was just right… well done we will get back ….

Too expensive best go to next village even milk terrible price . New owner said they would do offers now say they won't...paddock wood better

Beautiful old country pub, atmosphere destroyed by the regulars that happen to be rowdy chavs with zero thought for patrons

Landlady was super helpful but they stopped serving food at 4pm. The Italian is no more which was disappointing. Good music.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Just enjoyed Gazpacho with Eel and scallops to start followed by the belly pork and the fillet of rare beef with all the trimmings! Finished up with Sticky Toffee pudding and lemon curd trifle. Washed down with a bottle of Sancerre.

Absolutely disgusting bought a cheese and onion slice but it wasn't it was sausage and bean slices and they didn't care in shop or customer service

this may be the worst burger king anywhere in Britain, it charges for mayo and closes early with no receipt, avoid if you can

Absolute joke, went inside to order. Hardly anyone serving no-one acknowledged us. After 10 mins I went to the drive through again no-one was at the end of the speaker. I finally spoke to a member of staff who was putting rubbish out, to be told the other member was probably talking to a customer. Quite frankly I find all out this rather rude and would not recommend or go back in the future. It wouldn't of been as bad if member of staff acknowledged us and said they wouldn't be a minute,.but nothing. Lost my custom
