The best restaurants in Cliftonville West Thanet South East

Staff were cold and unfriendly. Cliquey and pretentious vibe. Asked for extra hot coffee and it was luke warm at best. Disappointed as had heard good things and was really looking forward to trying.

we phoned up and booked a table for 6 on a Saturday night got a cab over from Canterbury only to find out it was shut why they could not phone if they had problems waste of time money not a happy customer still no phone

Good service, food prepared with a lot of care and was delicious!

I’m really sorry to say this but this was the worst food I have ever eaten, I love jollof rice and I thought you can’t go wrong with it yet this place has proved me wrong. I tried the fufu and egusi soup and it tasted and smelled rotten. Fufu is meant to be a whiteish colour but it was kind of see through, this does not taste like fufu I’ve had before.

What an amazing find, we have just spent two nights in Cliftonville and we had breakfast in this lovely cafe both mornings. The food was perfectly cooked, generous servings, friendly and helpful staff. The place was spotlessly clean and pleasantly laid out. We have no need to return to the area, but if we did for any reason, we'd be straight back there. Thank you for fantastic food and service at an extremely reasonable price.

Rude and not clean place , not nice food

Joined a friend for a coffee. Was told the price of my coffee was not enough to pay by card and a notice announcing minimum spend by card was pointed out to me. The coffee was not cheap. I do not carry cash but had a five pound note I had managed to get by giving a friend £10.00 for two fives which would be my collection at church on Sunday. I was both embarrassed by this and forced to use it as otherwise my friend would have been forced to pay for me. The owner said she had to pay for card transactions and it was only because or regulars that she kept going. The charge is 2% and many card companies say it is illegal to display this notice and put it into force. As we sat with our coffee we got very cold. A group of people were all wearing their coats. It is quite obvious this cafe is doing it’s best to keep overheads low at the cost to it’s clients. Most unpleasant experience all round and will not return and will warn friends off.

Lilies was the perfect place to celebrate our Valentine’s Day. With the perfect atmosphere, wonderful waiting staff, delicious food and attentive service we had the most wonderful evening. Thank you for accommodating and we will definitely be returning!

Slow to get a coffee other than that great

Half of the food was very dry and didn’t taste nice. I have ordered from here before and it has been very nice however this time it’s awful! I spent £65. Half my order was missing and I had to wait an extra 15 mins for the other half!!!

Sadly, this is the last time we will be using them. Had many great meals over the years but the service is getting worse and so is the food. Waited 2 hours for a delivery last night. Ali said the delivery driver had not turned up. In the end his wife delivered it. When we got it, it was cold. The standard of food has also gone downhill. I ordered a chicken ceylon. What I got was just flavourless stew, the chicken pacora was salty and the poppadoms were not crisp. Such a shame.

Best pizza in the area ,,, have been using them from the day they first opened

I ordered my food at 1.03 the estimated delivery time was supposed to be between 1:25 - 1:45 after waiting until 1:50 I was getting extremely impatient and agitated, my food finally arrived at 2:15 cold, the food was greecy and the spicy wings where burnt to the bone. Not happy what so ever, will definitely not be ordering from this place.

Phoned up to make a order last night 30th dec and the guy that answered the phone to take my order was amazing, even though he must of been quiet busy he was patiently going through the menu with me as I wasn’t to sure what to order. When the food the turned up it was to high standards, very nice and I was very pleased. Will defo be returning and forwarding this place on to friends and family. Can I just say a big thank you to the guy from last night making my first experience very smooth what a great guy to have in your restaurant. Sorry didn’t get your name 🤦🏻
