The best restaurants in Birchington South Thanet South East

Popped in for lunch on Thursday 5th December 2024 and we both ordered steak & onion suet pudding from the specials board, very tasty and served with roast potatoes, seasonal veg and a lovely little jug of meaty gravy. Friendly service and we are looking forward to visiting again in the New Year.

Great little place with lovely staff. The toasties were delicious and there was a wide selection along with many other choices for a light lunch.

Amazing breakfast and great service. Superb sausages and bacon and tomatoes grilled just so. A splendid pot of tea. Basically an all round gem

Lovely brunch. There is an attention to every detail here, with a menu that is quite innovative. Generous portions and super friendly/helpful hosts. Recommend giving it a try.

Lovely cafe. You need to book to confirm a seat at Sunday lunch. Also, they do a nice menu throughout the week.

Started going there about 8 months ago when I am in the area. This is the 3rd time going, and each time, the food is of the highest quality, and the staff are friendly. My brother had the cod & chips, and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. As I don't eat fish, I had the chicken, and while that is usually the same in most places, nothing special, here it is one of the best I have tasted. It's worth a stop-off for food on the way to Birchington/Margate.

I come here with my family often for a roast and it never ever disappoints. Food is so delicious, great price and such good value for money

Lovely cafe, shame about some of the food. Three of us ordered jacket potatoes, 2 with Prawns and 1 tuna. All were cold and the potatoes hard. They then brought 3 hot potatoes which were hot but still hard. We did not enjoy these at all and hardly an apology . Apart from the waitress. The other 2 meals were OK. The manager did nothing or offer anything else to compensate. Would no go back there.

We caught the bus into Birchington so we could walk at leisure around the town. We started one side of the high street and decided to visit this cafe on the back of their bakery shop. It was very busy but as it was a Saturday and Christmas market day it had to be expected . We found a table in the main area under a heater. We were greeted by a young lady given menus and within 15 minutes we had our coffees and food . The food was exceptional I had a sausage sandwich in white bloomer bread and my wife had scrambled egg on brown whole meal bread . We would definitely visit again when next in town and perhaps try a day during the week. The bread and cakes on sale in their shop were going quick and they looked good and well priced.

My favourite takeaway! I miss being able to sit in The Pistachio and eat, but they have a takeaway service so that’s great! We order here regularly and the food is always super. Falafel wrap is gorgeous and the pizzas are top notch

Today was the second time I have visited Felicity's Café and it was incredible. Impeccable service, delicious food, perfectly prepared, very tasty and fresh ingredients were used. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smile and seated straight away. Our drinks order was taken and our twas and coffees arrived promptly, we both ordered "Bumny's Breakfast" and we were blown away by the quality of the food and the ample sized portions. The sausages and bacon were impeccable, perfect . poached egg, fresh cherry tomatoes on the vine, the toast was superb and I had requested it to be buttered, I was not disappointed! Nothing was too much trouble at all and I cannot wait to go back when I viait Margate again... Thank you to ALL staff! 💗👌😁
