Excellent place to eat. Plenty to choose from. Always tasty. We visit there for lunch often. The staff are always friendly.

Super friendly polite staff, reasonably priced and tasty food and drinks. Tables nicely spaced in these Covid times. Definitely recommend!

Every Saturday me and ny husband pop in for our burger and chips which are fab huge portions and served up by friendly staff. Always enjoy our visit, lovely and clean served up quickly tasty and great value so thank you.

Visit several cafes in the area but have yet to find a more welcoming one than Village Square! And the best coffee without a doubt!

Wanted a quick meal, we both had bacon, egg & Chips. Lots of chips for the price and each meal was only £4.10, background music was 1960's so easy on the ears. service was quick.

We visit here quite alot, it's our local cafe that we can walk to. Always welcoming and friendly staff. The food and drinks are always fresh and tasty, We're never disappointed.

Looking for a good coffee and great food then don't hesitate to pay The Village Square cafe a visit. Food is of excellent quality and the staff are friendly and service brilliant. A great addition to the lovely village of Birchington.

Me & my mum came her for a quick catch up and it was lovely! They make a gorgeous toastie! The atmosphere is just lovely, and I felt incredibly welcomed. Thank you!

I used the cafe, simply because it was the first one leading into The Square from the bus stop on Canterbury Road. And needed a quick meal, but judging from the amount of people using the cafe at the time (late morning), gave indications it was popular with the locals. And it was, which was taken in on reading the menu at the nearest table. As the guys in charge brought meals and drinks out to the patrons, clearly knowing many of them from previous visits. I opted for a late breakfast choice on the menu (2 rashers of bacon, giant sausage, egg and mushrooms, along with two rounds of buttered toast that came as part of the deal. It was served up pretty quickly, well cooked and presented, everything hot, and nothing was too much for the guys behind the counter. Tasty meal which filled me up, and kept me going until evening time. I will be back for more, if in the area again!

we often pop in for a sunday snack , shell cant get past the chilli con carnie and I am always drawn to the chops or pies , everytime piping hot and good portions and the service is very personal and friendly . to the owners and to the polite waitresses .. well done one n all

In een typisch Engelse cafe( spreek uit kef) kun je heerlijke ontbijten en lunchen. Zo ook hier heerlijk gevulde jacked potatoes (gepofte aardappel) en heerlijke milkshakes in een echt engelse eetgelegenheid! N aanrader !

My wife likes decaff coffee and that was available. I went for an orange juice - and received an ample measure. Clear that the regulars here have a good rapport with the friendly staff.

Friendly Café. Good food and large portions...especially the Roast! We generally go here about once a month (as we live locally), have also taken our Family when they pay us a visit. Friendly staff, good value for money. Varied breakfast and meal choices. Have had both in the past. Would recommend!

I ordered everything veggie I could for breakfast. It is just what it is, good fry up with chips. Perfect hanging food.

We stopped here for breakfast before heading for London. Great breakfast. Everything was lovely and fresh and we were able to swap some things if we didn't like something. Friendly staff.

The food and service from this lovely cafe on the square in Birchington is superb always beautifully cooked and very nice service.

Came in for lunch with my nan and grandad. We often come in! The food portions are really big but it is good. They make a great cup of tea too! Reccomend :-)

Had a lovely meal there and very cheap too. Staff are friendly. I had the most amazing tuna jacket potato and the plate was stacked full of salad. Very attentive staff too.

Un café que engaña como un "boliche" pero tener muy buenos almuerzos estilo estándar. El personal es agradable. Popular entre los lugareños.

Cayó en un rápido almuerzo. El servicio es excepcional, y la comida buenísima. Solo queríamos algo rápido, y mientras el café y la comida llegó rápido, nunca nos sentimos presionados. El BLT es increíble.

Honestly, this is 100 million percent the best place in Thanet to get a decent fry up. I choose to drive all the way over here rather than going somewhere close to my house in Margate even when I have a horrific hangover. The staff are so friendly, they do the best milkshakes and hot chocolates and it's really cheap. I love this place and will continue to come back

Lovely little cafe on the Square in Birchington. Does not look great but the food and service was wonderful. The portions were huge. All well cooked and prepared. I had their lunchtime special. Cheese omelette, chips and beans and apple pie and custard for £4.99, you cannot beat that and there was enough for two!!! Our table also had a ham & tomato baguette and scrambled eggs on toast, both excellent quantity and quantity. Cheap & cheerful but well worth it.

Had a great meal here. Listen up! It's not cordon bleu! It's English cafe food! Try the chicken curry and chips ..,, I know it's wrong! And they're happy to swap things around, like beans for salad, so it's all good. :)

Myself and some family visited here this morning for a hangover breakfast and it certainly lived up to its fab reputation. Very clean, friendly and happy staff. Enjoyed what I had to eat and drink.

Stopped in and had breakfast. The cafe itself is very clean and customer service was great. Food was ok and edible but mostly deep fried quite heavy and fatty. Meat not of great quality (cheap sausages and cut of bacon).

Came the other week with my friend and was thoroughly delighted with the customer service we received. The lady was quite small with dark hair and was so friendly and made our visit :) businesses like this need staff like her! Thanks so much :) food was lovely as well! Will be returning

Had breakfast and other food here today. Well prepared and presented food. Average portion sizes. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff polite and good coffee. No problems will return.

This cafe is just an ordinary cafe, that although kept very clean its food is basic and nothing outstanding.The helpings are average size and not for those with a big appetite and the coffee is not the best iv'e tasted.

Just want to say keep up the great work here, I pop down for my usual tuna jacket spud and on the odd occasion we go down on a Sunday if we cant be bothered to cook. Roasts are banging! hit the spot! very tasty also really cheap. I used to go to an assortment of cafes in Birch but this one I have stuck to for about three years now, I wont be changing! do give this a go if you are in town. Staff very friendly and accomadating, great for kids and their parents and any one of any age. Nice array of old skool pictures on the wall going back to the 50s/60s really nice decor. Like I say keep it up guys and girls! best cafe in the village.

Although I have been past this cafe on numerous occasions the outside does not look very much; however inside is another story entirely!Friendly staff, a wonderful 1950's decor vibe, and the most delicious food which comes freshly cooked, ample in size, and all for a great price!I cannot wait to return here for another brilliant breakfast!

This is one of my local cafes and the best, the portions are very generous, no one leaves hungry. Friendly staff who are always ready to see to your needs. Beautiful food in another eating establishment in my local community. Staff are friendly. The cafe is decorated with different pictures that stand out. I enjoy my cheese omelette and chips from here.

Treated ourselves to a cooked breakfast recently and although we only chose the small breakfast, it was well presented and very enjoyable. Staff friendly and overall the quality of the food looks very good.

thought this was going to be just another average cafe but i was wrong. its only a small place but the welcome was great. the coffee was excellent and nice and hot. the staff were nice and friendly and were very helpful. as it got nearer to closing time, it was great they we were not rushed. great little place.

Not eaten here yet but stopped for a cold coffee during the last heat wave. It was one of the best 'frappucino' type drinks that I have had, it beats Costa Coffee!

Well I must tell you all about this little cafe/restaurant! We live in Broadstairs, but travel here every so often as it is better than in Broadstairs. It is always clean, fairly busy I must add, but that tells you it is good. We are never kept waiting, a waitress is always at a table quickly, they are pleasant and with a smile which is great. We have had an array of dinners here, the best being what is cooked there and then, something with chips or a full english. The prices are good and the atmosphere is very friendly. Would highly recommend to all, especially young families on a budget.

We have been here about 10 times in the last year and have always been pleased with the food. You can have a large dinner like a nice piece of roast beef or a lunch, something like a bacon sandwich. The value s great. £12 for 2 meals and 2 drinks is fantastic. The servings are also brilliant. People who say it is terrible are idiots ad epect the Ritz for £12.

Possibly a little unfair, but the feel is reminiscent of the old style transport cafe. Clean and cheerful, but a little too squashed to be comfortable. The coffee and the cake was good and good value. Just didn't much care for the atmosphere

Stayed at a local hotel that doesn't do breakfast so decided to try here, very glad we did, lovely breakfast an gorgeous coffee all for a very reasonable price. Friendly staff an love the decor.

Very good service with polite staff that make you feel that you are in a 4 star restaurant. I always enjoy their lovely black coffee and occasionally have egg on toast or some other meal.

My boyfriend and i recently visited this cafe with his family on Sunday morning. We were met by very friendly and polite staff. It was quite busy but atmosphere was great. Our order was taken promptly and our food was served within a reasonable time. The portions of the cooked breakfasts are very generous and it all tasted amazing. Love the pictures of Audrey Hepburn, The godfather and Marilyn Monroe on the wall. Very nice Sunday morning breakfast and i would definitely go again.

We were travelling from Dover to Minis Bay and didn't know the area. We were pleased to find somewhere open to eat early on a Sunday morning when everything else was closed and the streets quiet. The décor was modern and tasteful. The service was fast even if slightly muted. The food was fine, just what you'd expect from an all day breakfast. We were the only ones in there for a while but it started to fill up as we left. Good value for money.

Popped in last week for the first time since the takeover, I still like it and the prices are very good as well. The staff are helpful and delivered the correct orders, lady who serves there is smiley and welcoming which is nice. Fry ups and the jacket spuds are lovely and I enjoyed the hot choc with marshmellows and cream. The place is cheap and you can get a good meal for just under £6 what a bargain!.

We visited this cafe on a couple of occasions when staying in the area. The coffee was excellent and the staff friendly and pleasant, and the lunches we had were very tasty and good value. They serve a good variety of English favourites, fry-ups and sandwiches.

The cafe was quite busy which I think is a good sign.It was very clean which I like. The decor was warm and welcoming.The menu had sandwiches, jacket potatoes and home cooked meals too. Next time I'm hungry in birchington I'd like to try the lunch menu.

went to this place for a breakfast and found it to be full of grease. Used to love this place it was good old fashioned dinners and non greasy breakfasts i shall go to Zaras in the future

My husband and I are locals, we have visited this café now a few times for our breakfast and we have been met with very good service, the food has always been hot, plentiful and scrummy. Cannot say anymore other than this is where we will go from now onwards!!

I used to love this place, the owners/staff were wonderful ladies who were friendly and fun. The fry up was fantastic. Been there once since it's been taken over, they couldn't understand what I was trying to order (tea) when the food turned up it was terrible, my wife's sausage had something that didn't look in anyway 'organic' running through it, completely revolting, we stopped eating, paid the bill and left saddened. They even have a sign saying they use 'local produce' what a joke. I will never visit again. Revolting.

I found this fairly new Cafe by accident and introduced myself to what I think is the nicest cup of coffee in the area. The food is cooked just as I like it and is HOT which is very important to me. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff who are always welcoming, neat and tidy. If they are not waiting on tables, they are cleaning and I like that very much. This Cafe has already been discovered by some local characters (I, myself, come from several miles away) and this adds to the ambience of the establishment. There is a car park situated just to the rear and shops are nearbyDo try Village Square cafe as I am sure that you will not be disappointed.
