The best restaurants in Shirley Southampton South East

Has become one of my favourites after having had it repeatedly recommended. Great choice of reasonably priced craft beers and premium lagers alongside a good liqueur selection. Patrons are all exceptionally friendly and atmosphere is brilliant! Staff are really friendly too. Kudos to the the owners.

The food is delicious and cheap, large portions and salads included in the price. The place could be refreshed, but it's worth coming back to try other dishes.

Went in for a cheeky cider (the selection was excellent!) and ended up being "trapped" there for lunch by the rain. The sandwiches were AMAZING, and generously portioned - we didn't really need the fries we got with it on the side, but thoroughly enjoyed them anyway

Good pub. However, most Public Houses sell Coffee these days and The King's Arms doesn't. This is the only inconvenience of thus establishment otherwise a great Public House

Visited this bar on our last night in shanklin! Shame as what a great place! Cocktails were wonderful especially the Caramel Saltini so good!! Nice staff happy to chat about what went into the Cocktails & great to watch them being made up. On leaving asked for bill charged for one Amstel 😲 pointed out that a good deal more than Amstel was drunk! 10% discount for my honesty! Great place try it especially the Caramel Saltini!!! Loved the toilets aswell 😂

To be clear. I have not been, BUT, I did try. Online reservation via mobile, IMPOSSIBLE, just received a "cannot identify restaurant...", error message. This is once your on restaurant's own website. Frustrated but not to be deterred I reverted to laptop. Now when picking a date, no error message, but you can only book 3 days in advance. As this was for an important date one week out, I thought "keep it simple", email them. Sadly not, "Your message couldn't be delivered" is the only response. I have no idea what the food is like, but given the difficulty in making a reservation I suspect I will never find out.

Very Friendly cafe. Great food. Jeff the Chef was singing along to Islands in the Stream on the radio whilst cooking our food. Great value for money toastie with side salad.

Food was amazing but there is a wait and we were the only ones in there on a Sunday afternoon so god know how it would be when busy! Is worth the wait though

Great place, Eve and Agger are very nice and genuine lady's and very welcoming. Always saying hi without missing a beat.

Excellent as always. Managed a big order for guests and was hot and great quality as usual.

I always order from here normally pretty good, however placed an order 1/8/24 and when food arrived it had a dead fly in the chicken korma, deliveroo has been trying to contact with no response, I have called and been told to wait. It’s been a week, no contact nothing disgusting.

We have been here a number of times, as my family likes going there for some unknown reason to me - likely the free meal you are supposed to get on your birthday. The food was average, which is why I have given 2 stars but the rest of it was a shambles. The restaurant was dead, which is kind of telling! When we arrived our table had been booked for 2 people, while we had booked for 10. The service was really poor, the lady who served us was not around half the time to serve us but rather outside smoking and I felt just not professional. Then when we came to pay, we asked for the free meal as advertised on their website (photo attached) and she refused, saying that they had stopped the deal. Really poor, you advertise to get customers in an then refuse when the come to pay! Will try hard to not return in the future.

It was absolutely horrible it tasted very bad and felt really sick after. At 3 in the morning someone was sick. I am not happy

Very rude staff and racist towards the Asian not friend to me I think this café is for English people. The lady is very rude.
