My delivery time changed twice getting later and later and they still managed to be 20 late. That I can live with but when the food finally arrived it was cold and tasted awful.

My order was late with the wrong items. I asked for a replacement which was promised to me by one of the staff members but never happened. I'm always ordering with them paying cash really good food but after this situation I will never order again!!!

Delivery time was ok but the driver didn’t read my message as it described where I live in plain English. The gps location is wrong and I can’t change it, hence why I left a description. Anyway apart from that food was ok Tarka is much better though!!

I understand they are probably busy,so only 3 stars for the anticipation. The meal for 1 was delicious tbh but no mint sauce with the bhajis.

I loved their curry, then i had one that wasnt so great but i still regularly ordered after that. But the final straw was finding a piece of hard plastic in one. Twice, one not so good and then the foreign object in one other. Great curry on the whole but the plastic was the end for me. Such a shame.

Person who I spoke to on the phone was rude, kept on talking over me and when I asked if I could finish what I was saying he then put the phone down on me! Will not be ordering from them again

we tried the Raj because of a money off offer and were really impressed. the delivery was really quick and the driver was very nice. The food was lovely and portion sizes were good. we will be back.

Phoned to ask where my order was and the person who answered the phone was rude and talking over me and when I asked to finish what I was saying he put the phone down on me

Have ordered here for 10 years. Delivery was very late and the driver from the restaurant had a bad attitude. The curry was just average. bad attitude and average food . Its obvious that my custom means nothing so I will not be ordering again.

Unfortunately, on this occasion I wasn't impressed. The lamb tikka starter was incredibly tough and chewy. To make matters worse, my biriyani had so much salt in it that I could not eat it. What a shame, normally the food is good here.

waste of time. multiple calls to them, was told just to wait another 45mins as they told me would be delivered by then call again they say not even left the kitchen yet.. to then wait another hour.. waste of time, rude, poor service.

thought I would try this resturant again as not ordered for a while but the food was not edible currys had a 1cm layer of oil, the onion balls where so over cooked they where hard sad to see this place decline as the food used to be great won't be ordering again

As always, delicious food but nan bread was missing, called the restaurant and it arrived 10 minutes later, cant say fairer than that other than it not be missing in the first place.

The Raj is consistently good, well spiced, tasty food of good quality and great value for money. I often order a byriani. Would recommend.

Order arrived over half hour late, food was nice but the Ch.Tikka Masala was a bit too spicy hot for my wife, maybe an option to choose a milder one?

We've used these guys a few times and always found extremely good value for money and great food. My only gripe has been with seekh kebab, under cooked to my taste and I'm used to getting salad and lemon. Small gripe to mention but overall totally recommend. We've just had our forth meal and the bhuna was awesome! We had used Bina in Coxford for over 20 years and these guys are an excellent replacement. Give them a go

very disappointed with the quality of the food the kebab was burnt and very hard the samosas was very small it's the same as you would get from Asda cheap and nasty. will not buy from Raj again.

We order from the raj almost every week and it is never a disappointment! The curry is amazing and so tasty and the naan breads are wonderful. We will always order from here as one of our favourite takeaways!

Very disappointed with this evenings order. Food arrived and was 35.9 degrees (I checked with a food probe). I ordered at 5.43pm and the food arrived at 7.38pm (after 2 phone calls enquiring where the food was) and it was freezing cold. I have been ordering from this takeaway for nearly 20 years, so I feel really let down tonight. Very unapologetic and refused to send out a fresh order or give a refund. Think it’s time to try somewhere new…

As normal, best Indian takeaway in Shirley and a solid price as well.

The king prawn was nice, the onion bhaji ok. The curry was disgusting 3 mouth fulls and the rest went in the bin. The sag allo was also awful very greasy and the nan was stone cold

The food was excellent but was somewhat hotter than our previous experience with the dishes we have ordered in the past. I had a Chicken Dansak and Barry had a Pathia. Both were far hotter in spice than was comfortable but in fairness it did say hot on the menu. We had the Bombay Potatoes and a Peshari Nan which helped. I am sure if you liked that amount of heat you would have enjoyed it. As it was we ate the chicken which was excellent but not the sauce which was a shame. Will use again .

I always order from here normally pretty good, however placed an order 1/8/24 and when food arrived it had a dead fly in the chicken korma, deliveroo has been trying to contact with no response, I have called and been told to wait. It’s been a week, no contact nothing disgusting.

We usually get delivery which is always on time and friendly. Went for collection today and as always the food and service is great. This little gem has to be in my opinion the best curry house around and we have tried loads, thanks to all at the Raj we find it faultless.

My new favourite Indian place to go! Second order of the special for 2. Very good price (especially on a cheeky Tuesday) really good portions lots of flavour! Just beautiful/ only fault is the sauce/oil leakage of containers gets all over my hands and dyes them.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive. The chicken tikka masala was not nice and neither was the saag paneer. The naan bread was cold. When we called to ask how much longer we got told 20 minutes and instead it was another 40 minutes! Would not order from here again!

2 hours between ordering and delivering!

I ordered at 19:30 and it didn’t arrive until nearly 21:00 I know it’s a Friday but that’s far too long, my food also arrived cold so I had to heat it up Once it was warmed up it was nice

Good amount of food but less than times before which is a shame, seems the amount you get changes each time

Overall taste was ok, but there was a leak of yellow oil that got everywhere and stained surfaces and hands when dishing up. Missed some labelling too so muddled curries up.

food was cold the order said it was delivered 35 minutes before it was actually delivered......really disappointed as normally I can't fault the food or the r service......asked for money off with no response.

Food was half an hour late and not very warm - as we were staying at an hotel for the night we couldn't heat it up. However, the food was good.

They like verbally abusing teenagers on the doorstep whilst handing over deliveries of sub standard food over an hour late - avoid

Chicken is very dry, hard to cut. Curry was watery to the point the rice was swimming in it. The butter chicken tasted funny and the masala was very dark red and so sweet. The rices were cold and the curries were lukewarm.

We ordered a takeaway and ordered lots of different dishes to try. They were all the same colour, very greasy, the grease stained our table and hands - yes I did use a fork! The rice and naan breads were fine but all the dishes were not nice at all, I couldn’t eat them. I wouldn’t order from there again! Shame.

Food was delivered early, hot and tasted delicious! We had the Lamb Tikka Methi, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma and they were all really flavoursome and presented well. Our favourite takeaway place!

Yet again food spilt oil everywhere, less meat products just more gravy and now no longer inc rice with Pathia dishes. Will no longer use The Raj I have noticed a decline in there food 😟
