My first visit although my partner and friends had been before to this one and the others in the chain and recommended it. Went for "Tapas Tuesdays" - 3 tapas and a glass of wine for £11.95. The table we were given was in the middle and right on top of other people - when one became vacant we moved to one with more space at the side. You have to order on their app on your phone which is fine but it seemed to struggle with the Tapas Tuesdays deal and we had to ask members of staff how to do it as well as what other drinks are in the deal as it wasn't made clear anywhere. We had a selection of Tapas between us and it was all delicious although some were quite small; if this is intended as a main meal you will need to add something else to your 3 tapas! Staff were friendly and helpful and they had excellent Henry Weston's Vintage Cider on draught! Would definitely return.

You order and pay upfront at the counter. The chairs and tables are awkward, a bit like what you would find in a primary school, small and uncomfortable. However, the food is good.

This was the first visit for us. It was reasonably busy at lunchtime but we found a window seat The food was delicious and came quickly. I had the pulled beef chilli (gluten free) and my friend had a delicious chicken and mushroom soup We followed up with really good coffees and cake I'd definitely go again and have already recommended it to friends The prices are mid range but the service was excellant

Been here a few times and it’s always middle of the road if I’m honest. Stopped in today as we were hungry, place was busy as always and I like the buzz of it when it is. Walked in and the waitress wasn’t rude but wasn’t friendly either, almost like she didn’t care. I had a very enjoyable burger, but the chips or lack of needed a bigger portion. I will say my burger was hot and tasted great. Food looked like it had been chucked on my plate (see pic). I noticed the floor was as covered in bits of food scraps and general grime, hard I know when it’s busy to keep clean but an observation I made. My partner had a burger and he had less chips than me, sweet potato fries and we genuinely counted 9 fries - you pay an extra £1 for these too. For £36 we left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Food is very good. Not cheap but worth it.

Excellent vegetarian breakfast and full English breakfasts as well as the pancakes and coffees. It would be good if you could combine some of the vegetarian bits into a mix of both. The sweetcorn fritters are very good. My only gripe was the cost of the pancakes which is quite small for the price and it's quite noisy when full. A bit of sound deadening might help. But overall it was a great place to eat with a very high standard of food and drinks.

Such a lovely and cosy place to visit. Went there with my friend, had a drink and some tapas. We always used to go to Trago lounge, se company but different location I believe but this one is just as good. They have board games and also they do quiz nights as well. Perfect location if you're looking for a place to just chill out and have a good time

Popped in for food a couple.of times now and the food was excellent both times. Good choice of drinks and a good quiz on a Wednesday night. Will definitely be back.

Being taken here by my sister for the first time ever, was a complete eye opener! What a place! Only problem, my wife is in a wheelchair and the tables are quite low. Could do with a couple of tables purely for wheelchair users only perhaps?

Great food, lovely staff, nice and warm

Pretty good, but a bit of dog hair landed in my food last week. Didn't mind it, but surprised dogs are allowed in a food service area. Good burger though.

Panini was very poor. Filling was 'slushy' and left a not pleasant aftertaste for the rest of the day. Tea was tasteless.

The staff here are always pretty good. You’re always greeted well and served with smile. Unfortunately the food has taken a turn for the worse, I’ve got to say this was the worst meal out I’ve had in 2023. An overheated microwave meal is what I was served, I’ve actually had much tastier micro meals if I’m honest. My other half had hard bread and over fried food. Come on guys, this is well under par. The food wasn’t edible really, I won’t be returning soon.

I organised a lunch for a group of friends and family at the Santo Lounge. The professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food made this an enjoyable and memorable day.

Having tried many of the loungers places in different cities, unfortunately not the best experience. Lacked flavors in brunch options. Coffee was very bad.

I visited with my wife for a date nite, I wouldn't describe Santo Lounge as a restaurant or a pub, but just a place to get reasonably priced tasty food and a good selection of drinks. Pleasant atmosphere and good service.

Great gluten free and vegan options alongside the rest of their menu (good in quantity of options as well as variety) and all for a great price for a lunch or meal within today's cost of living budget.

Visited for a breakfast and overall the service and food was decent. Coffee was good. However the toast was burnt and the beans were lumpy with some of it stuck together.

Fantastic breakfast every time! Treated my friend her for her birthday and we both really enjoyed our breakfast. The staff are friendly and attentive.

We went to Santo Lounge in Shirley for a tea and coffee. Unfortunately the crockery that was brought to the table was quite simply dirty. The milk jug was distgusting. I don't think their dishwasher works correctly in this establishment. I complained about the state of my coffee mug, was brought another with no apologies and it was plonked on the table with no eye contact or a smile. This place was once a nice cafe, sadly not any more.

It’s just a great place. Eat (and drink!) here!! We ate here when traveling through Southampton in mid-July and were excited to come back when we returned in September…and we did.

Been here twice recently for dinner and very impressed with menu,service and prices.Better than a lot of more expensive restaurants.Everthing we have eaten has been cooked very well and there is something for all tastes and appetites. Only complaint is that music is a bit loud for us oldies!

Fabulous gluten free breakfast with great service. First place we have ever visited in Southampton for food, and they set a very high bar. Recommend.

It's OK, £8.50 for a vegan BLT with hardly any filling is something I won't buy again. Not got the same atmosphere as the equivalent lounge in Plymouth

The food was good and came out quickly. Quite when we got there but busier as the night went on. Easy to use the app to order to the table.

Went on a Wednesday which is quiz night so it was a rather loud but still able to have a shouted conversation

OMG we were so disappointed as regulars with our experience todap-Santo Lounge was a complete let down on service today..... Food and drinks arrived quickly but they forgot a portion of fries so James asked, then 10 mins later I went and asked and got a 'in a sec' remark, then 10 mins later had to ask again was told 'yeah yeah yeah' from a server with her back turned. Then finally a guy comes over after 25-30 mins of us waiting holding the receipt as if to say we hadn't ordered any fries, then says 'oh yes you did order fries' to himself, walks off and then 5 mins later fries appear after we've eaten everything.... The worst part...... The big guy with a beard Plonks them down and says 'enjoy your meal' after we'd clearly finished eating ..... No apology!!!!!! We left as, we couldn't spend any more money somewhere that treats its regulars that way. A server girl as we were leaving said she'd asked if she could refund us due to their mistake and he'd said 'no'. Literally never had that, poor service at our local Lounge. We can't come back and won't recommend it anymore.

The staff were so helpful & accommodating to my daughters allergies, they substituted an ingredient in one of their meals so that she could eat it without worrying! So very grateful. All staff were friendly & happy to help. We were a party of 9 & all ordered at different points of the evening & everything came out promptly. Would definitely recommend 👌

Nice atmosphere... tasty food, tapas... never going to be a range of ales in a place like this but a bottle of cream stout in the fridge saved the day!

Fantastic place for a buzzy, energetic lunch. It’s busy so get there early. Food is great and the staff are fun and lively.

I've been to this venue a few times and never been disappointed. Theres a lot of choice with vegan and gluten free menus. The latest trip's visit we did have a slight issue where they misheard my drink order but when we told them they were very apologetic and rectified it straight away. My friend has severe allergies and the staff were very good to ensure they were safe and catered for. Lovely atmosphere, very bright with windows on two sides as on a corner plot. There's no dedicated parking for the venue but Shirley has decent free parking located around the area and if staying for a long time it's not that expensive to park long-term. The entrance has a ramp for disabled access

Dry burgers, undersalted fries and bad coffee for a fairly high price relative to the area. Do not recommend. The service was alright though.

Seems like a nice place just that the bacon was too salty and the bread quite old. Other than that, staff pleasant enough and a decent atmosphere. (Music a bit loud, particularly for lunchtime.)

A little expensive for a Tapas bar rather the restaurant price. Count 30 euros/person. Good product. Simple and pleasant service. I recommend doing it once to try it.

What a great find. Always a warm welcome here. Have joined in the quizz a few times. Food is well presented and tastes great. A good atmosphire and clean environment. Easy going, relaxing place to enjoy not only food but a nice pint of HazyJane as well.

Brunch with friends. The loungecwas ok when arrived 09.45 but left at 11 and packed solid and very very noisy. Left early as noisy. Would have had another lovely coffee with my friends but went to another coffee shop opposite to get some quiet for our chat.

We weren't greeted when we arrived, they just shouted across to sit anywhere though watched them greet every other customer after us. No child menu was brought over, had to look through the entire adult menu before realising there was no child section, then had to find someone to ask who pointed us in the direction of the menus. No hummus pot came out, had to ask and my child didn't want it by then as she'd eaten her food. Asked if we could pay for all of our food at the end as wanted to add coffee and dessert on but was refused so just paid for our mains and went elsewhere for our coffee and cake. Toasted ciabatta wasn't toasted. They took one plate away whilst we were still eating and no one even asked us how our meal was so figured they just didn't care.Shame as the flavours were good and they got one meal right so they have the potential. This was 230pm on a Monday so they wasn't busy either.

Good place to be with friends on a saturday night

It's always very busy but they get the food and drinks out fairly quickly, without you feeling rushed. I've been many times, and on occasion they have forgotten parts of our order, but they've rectified it and apologized so all good.

Had brunch today, 16 Feb. Had the big lounge breakfast and wife had Miami brunch. Both were excellent. The cooked breakfast was all tasty and good. Bacon and sausages were very nice and the hash browns were great. No oily taste that you sometimes get with them in some establishments. Tea and coffee were also hot, and my request for hot plates (to keep the food warm) was complied with, as always. Well done Santo team.

A polite and friendly team of people. The food is always delicious but what really makes this place are the people. It's not often along mutant mile that you can enjoy the conversatio of a bartender without the fear of being robbed or feeling like you're bother. Lounge is the right name for an establishment as such. You certainly satisfy a large number of customers, with or without a packet of pretentious nuts! Keep them Peanut Butter Moachas coming!

I attend a meeting today here and thought the food was great, the staff were attentive and it had a nice inviting environment.

Really need to supply crisps and nuts after you stop serving food at 9pm. To say you’re a nut free bar doesn’t cut it. We left and went to clockwork.#notradenocustom
