Really friendly, welcoming people run this coffee bar. The coffee is brewed to perfection. The tea is strong and flavoursome. The toasted sandwiches are filled to the brim and very tasty. The cakes are moist and delicious. The outlook is pleasant due to the flowers and plants. The atmosphere, cosy and inviting. They also serve ice cream, toasties, waffles, and smoothies. The ice creams in waffle cones are amazing. The ice cream goes right down to the bottom, so every bite is a delight. This is a place we visit time and again. It comes very highly recommended indeed.

Stylish but overpriced. If you want to feel good about spending £80 p/p on a weekday pub lunch, this is your place.

We (wife and I) actually ate at Orwell's back in the summer and I've been meaning to leave a review since then. The delay has been down to trying to find the words to do justice to the meal. I still haven't found them so I'll simply say it was one of, if not the best meals I've ever eaten. We had the "Taste of the Season" Tasting menu with wine pairing. It was as close to perfect as a meal can get. All courses were imaginative, interesting and unbelievably tasty. The wine pairing was equal to the food, with some really interesting selections. What makes this restaurant extra special is the service and welcome you receive. Ryan looked after us incredibly. Huge thank you to you all. We'll be back. And sorry it's taken so long to review!

What an exceptional restaurant. It was our first visit on a special occasion and the greeting at the door was warm and friendly. The co owner Ryan came to our table and with a real sense of warm professionalism talked us through the food options. Although many around us were choosing the ‘taster menu’, we decided on a la carte. The restaurant was intimate but spacious, with only 20 covers in an area that would easily of managed 40. The food was sublime, well designed and created and a pleasure to eat. To summarise a magnificent restaurant and a truly memorable evening.

It doesn't get any better than this. What a great place for that very special meal. I cannot fault it in any way. Wonderful views from the dining room, great service and the best food.

Have visited this lovely pub over the years. Always excellent food, ambience and friendly. Good parking spaces. Interesting history too, worth asking about !

Enjoyed a really lovely meal this evening. The lady behind the bar was really lovely (even after I broke a glass within 5 minutes of walking through the door 😬). Thank you for not making me feel a twat even though I already felt like one! Food was worth the wait. 👌🏽 Highly recommend. ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recientemente celebramos una celebración familiar, en el Hombro de Mutton, por los cumpleaños 16 y 18 de mis nietos. La comida (el almuerzo del domingo) era excelente, Nuestros vegetarianos estaban bien atendidos, y el personal era amable, alegre y acogedor e hizo todo lo posible para que el día fuera un éxito. Teníamos el conservatorio para nosotros, lo que era una ventaja. Sé que estuvo muy ocupado ese día, pero no puedo agradecer lo suficiente a todo el personal por su arduo trabajo. Tuvimos una celebración maravillosa.

¡Este hermoso pub familiar es una pequeña joya! Es acogedor y acogedor y celebramos la recepción fúnebre de mi padre -en-ley en el precioso conservatorio, que era perfecto para 30 personas. Alan y Wendy organizaron todo, lo que significaba que no teníamos que preocuparnos por nada. El buffet era delicioso, incluyendo quiche casero y bocadillos y el servicio era excelente. First visit for a work Christmas do and I was very impressed with the quality of service from all of the staff and the food was definitely 5 star. I will definitely be back again

Once again a lovely evening in our favourite pub. The staff are attentive and friendly. Great choice of food on the menu, spare ribs are the best. My wife had Surf and turf followed by creme brulee all absolutely fantastic. To add to this a nice atmosphere in this pub. We received excellent service from Dani, always with a smile. Will recommend highly. Definitely return.

19 of us arrived on Christmas Eve to be told they had no booking for us !!! Quite honestly it was simply unbelievable. How on earth to you mess up a booking for a party of this size despite a chain of email messages!!. After the initial shock we asked the useless and incompetent manager if he could at least feed the children and indeed this was dismissed as impossible. What kind of establishment does not have the food in to feed six small children - what a joke !! Would you not think that the useless manager could have at least offered to cover our drinks at the bar as a small compensation but no he just kept blaming everyone else and was extremely unaccommodating. Never, has this happened to us before and I cannot tell you how awful it was for me to have to take all these people back and feed them!
