The best restaurants in Katesgrove Reading South East

Visited with work colleagues for lunch after reading the review from Edible Reading and we weren’t disappointed. Ordered the King Tut ultimate breakfast and received a platter with Egyptian Moussaka, Flava beans, falafel, baba ganoush, humus… all served with warm flat bread and Egyptian tea with mint. Delicious, served with a warm smile and pistachio baklava to finish. I’ll be back again and bringing the family :)

Dolphin atendió el velorio de mi abuelo en febrero en Lewisham, quedamos muy impresionados con él y su equipo. Vinieron temprano al lugar para instalarse. Todo sabía fresco y delicioso mi familia y todos los huéspedes estaban muy impresionados con el servicio y la comida en particular el pollo frito, pasteles de pescado, Roti y el cuco y el pescado sabía excepcional. Recomiendo encarecidamente el Catering en eventos.

Vinimos aquí después de la uni, y tuvimos el mejor Shawarma de nuestras vidas. El obrero es también el hombre más dulce de la tierra. Gran comida y servicio!

Amazing fish and chips, really glad I discovered this place. The food was up there with the very best I have ever had out of the countless chip shops I have tried up and down the country. Got to be the best in Reading and probably Berkshire too. Expertly cooked to order with quality ingredients getting every aspect just right. Light, crisp batter with tender fresh cod inside with the best chips I have had in a very long time - chunky thick cut, nice golden brown colour, crisp on the outside and soft potato inside. Both the fish and the chips were well drained and not greasy. Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £11.10. Not the cheapest but worth every penny and nice large portion sizes. The food was well packed in a cardboard box so stayed warm and didn’t go soggy at all before eating. The shop looks a bit run down on the outside and isn’t in the nicest part of town, but don’t let that put you off, it’s very clean inside and has 5/5 food hygiene rating. Friendly service and the usual menu choices. This is one of those places that looks like it hasn’t changed in decades, but with food that good there is nothing that needs changing! Highly recommended, I will definitely be back. Cannot fault them, wish it was my local!

The Korean BBQ is delicious in the UK, and its Korean seasoned beef is delicious😋👍🏻, but it would be great if it has kimchi as an appetizer.

The food is to die for, made to your own specifications. The owner is a gentleman and the price is very reasonable. Visit this shop it will be your go to kebab house!

Convertirse en la peor tienda, ahorrar dinero dando menos comida y grosero. Dicho plato es pequeño por lo que menos porción de lo contrario caerá sobre una mesa ... la broma más grande para hacer engañar a los clientes

Nothing special. Gone are the days of Bruno et.al. The present owners are the second group running the establishment and are is still lacking that little extra needed to bring it back to its previous level.

Super food, family owned kitchen, nice peaceful environment.

Presto is usually my go to for pizza, probably for the last 5 years! Unfortunately tonight the food had a chemical smell like cleaning detergent. Both the pizza and the wings smelt this way so we just couldn't eat the food. Dissapointing to say the least. Ordered via uber eats, arrived earlier than expected.

Fabulous family meal x All food was fresh and delicious. A special mention must go out to Catlin who advised us on the allergens menu as one of the party has a food allergy. Grahame and the team are always welcoming and supportive there is a great kids menu and main menu.

We have been regular visitors to Chef Peking for some years and cannot recommend it highly enough. Always a warm welcome from Terrie, Eddie and the team. There always seems enough staff to cover what is a very busy restaurant. A good sign that it is so popular. Food choice is excellent, promptly served and hot. Delicious tasting selection of dishes, whether from the set menus, or ordering “a la carte”. You had better be hungry if you have the set menus. There is a lot of food! Looking forward to our next visit.

Nos dijeron que le demos una oportunidad a este pub, así como para un almuerzo de cumpleaños tardío, aunque un poco alejado y alejado. Nos dieron la bienvenida a la llegada, aunque fue justo antes del cierre de la tarde, pero el personal era muy amable. La comida salió rápidamente y su pastel de pescado era excelente. Gran servicio. Sin duda volvería allí de nuevo.
