Honestly been my go-to Indian restaurant for 10 years now, only sad moment is my favourite Chef Speciality, the Mango Chicken Masala dish, is no longer available, but the rest always makes the house happy

Fantastic food - tandoori chicken was excellent, as was my madras and all the sundries - shame there were no complementary poppadum's though - but overall a really satisfying, delicious meal - we'll be back !

Delivered in timely fashion, food quality very good, lots of flavour, not too greasy and warm!

I never leave reviews but had to for this! We tried Alamin as we weren't happy with our usual and it was the best Indian we've had in Reading. Food was delivered early, piping hot and absolutely delicious! It is slightly more expensive but you pay for quality. This is now our new regular!

This is the only Indian restaurant we order from. It is smashing, tasty and not had any issues with a single order in the 2 years we have been using there services 😀

Really disappointed as we normally have lovely food from here, but today food was not good, lamb in biryani was so dry we couldn’t eat it and the tikka masala was so watery where it has obviously been defrosted🙄 won’t be ordering again

We'e used Alamin for years now, always good and great portion sizes. Ordered recently and found the food was OK but a bit bland compared to previous, even when ticking HOT (spicy) which seems to make almost no difference. I found i have to add a little more salt then it's improved. Prices have gone up steeply and now little difference from restaurant. With the price increases we cut back on what we order, so starters are no longer for us.

Very good pipping hot great tasty food and plenty of it I could finish it all so more left for tomorrow 😀

I've been buying curry from these guys for over 30 years. The food is the same every time - Great ! Even though the management has changed several times , the food and service remain the same. I also like that I can just phone for delivery - it's much easier than online.

Black grit in parts of the naan and lamb a bit tough, otherwise would have been a great meal.

This is the 6th Indian takeaway we've tried since moving to Reading, finally found one that is perfect. On the pricier side compared to other places, but for the flavour and quality it's worth it. Food could have been a little warmer, but it was 0⁰C outside so has to be somewhat expected.

Good arrived promptly . Was hot. And nice. But missing nann bread and they weren’t interested when we called to tell them. Only a few quid. But not the point.

A great tasting clean curry that was not flooded with oil. Good portions with tasty meat. Have ordered a few times, would recommend.

One of the dishes was mostly burnt compared to previous time we had this dish from this location and was imo, inedible

Three items ordered. They delivered lamb madras instead of lamb tikka madras because they were trying to deliver so quickly attention to detail gone. Food was ok but I wouldn’t go back because if I ordered more items there would be more problems. Couldn’t phone as it kept saying mailbox full. Very frustrating. Poor customer service I’m afraid.

Just had our first takeaway from here. Delivered quickly and still very hot. Lovely flavours. Was nice to be able to chose how spicy we wanted. Great range of dishes to chose from. Would highly recommend.

Well within the estimated delivery time slot, hot on delivery, and the delivery guy was very pleasant and said "enjoy your meal" before he left. Massive, massive thumbs up there. You can't describe that kind of kind service - you can only feel it. So, the food: seemed to be of good quality. Certainly nice and spicy, and just right for a jalfrezi. Really not a lot of meat in it, though. I wasn't impressed with that. The keema naan was OK, but again, not a lot of it for £3.50. I won't recommend Alamin so highly any more.

Great, authentic food, delivered promptly and with a smile. What's not to love? OK it's not world class gourmet Michelin star food, but put it this way: imagine you've just moved to Reading and you want to order some food. I'd recommend this place as number one on your list.

Tasty food delivered nicely on the early side of the estimated arrival time. Driver was delightfully friendly and efficient. Voucher and menu included with purchase. Perfect for a quick dinner when you're too tired to cook!

Judt didnt feel right usually get the madras but today's food was not spicy at all.

I used to think naga chicken was "not that hot". Oh how wrong I was! Very spicy (as it should be) and it was hot on delivery. I'd have no hesitation to order again. Very well packed, good experience. Thumbs up.

I’ve been ordering food from this takeaway since I was 16 years old I’m now 50 and it’s still my favourite Indian takeaway. The food is always lovely and the right spices used the sauces are made with quality ingredients and the portions are very good the chicken is real chicken meat and not processed rubbish . Keep up the good work Alamin Tandoori 👍

Nice tasting food which came piping hot, great delivery. Only bad thing was order didn’t come with any popadoms but came with the dips…I even rang the restaurant before ordering and they confirmed I would receive popadoms so was disappointed when they were missed from my order ☹️

Obviously a different chef on or NO chef as tasteless which has really put me off now. Shame as I order quite a bit and won’t again.

I'm very pleased with the meat in the madras. For once I actually had a good quality meat from a restaurant via just eat. Thank you and it was nice and ZAAL. But prawn bhuna was NOT at all ZAAL, when I requested it to be.

Ordered food as we have many times before. Onion Bhaji and Vegetable Samosas were ordered as we are vegetarian and when they arrived, they stank of prawn and had clearly been cooked in it. Not ideal to still share oil in 2021, never mind with all the people allergic to fish.

I had been using the same boring curry house for months since moving to the area which was overpriced and extremely underwhelming but since finding this place I will never ever ever settle again! Food is always steaming hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! Delivery is always fast and hassle free! Such value for money, the portion size and quality is unmatched! I’ll never order from anywhere else again! Amazing!

Jalfrezi was amazing. Seekh kebab was brilliant. Keema naan was decent, it sogged up a bit though which is unfortunate but still good :)

Wow! I was rolling the dice when choosing something from the menu I had not tried (nor even heard of) before but my goodness- it was sublime; albeit a little hotter than expected. Will definitely order again! (Lamb Rezala)

The best Indian take out in Reading

Delivery on time and driver was really friendly. But the food was really bland. Seemed like chicken and prawns had the same base...The saag wasn’t cooked long enough- could still taste it was frozen.

Food was not as hot as normal and the chicken korma had a vingery taste

In Reading for a stop over, and needed a quick meal. The food was piping hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Really good quality take away, and beautifully complimented flavours. (It also was the perfect amount of chilli in the lamb biryani, which also had really succulent pieces of meat. Sometimes restaurants makes this dish quite bland)

I am vegetarian and have been to many places for Indian takeaway in Reading and this is by far the best. Consistently provides beautiful food and great service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now I’ve had this.

The food was delivered before expected time, and am very happy with the service, but food quality is absolutely abysmal. Especially the chicken vindaloo. it was disgusting. No taste just a pile of spices.
