The Best lunch spread I have been to. There was a large selection of vegetable and non-veg dishes.The were all very delicious. The service was quick and staff were serving with smile. And the beer was excellent.

We have been here multiple times for different occasions and every time the food has been awesomely delicious, the staff very very friendly with a great ambience that everyone can enjoy.

Visited because it is on the ale trail but I honestly don't know why, they don't really care about ale. I wouldn't return. But this is not a review of the Indian food, we did not eat.

Bagheera is very near from my home and the food was very delicious also the food taste reminds me Indian food taste. Service also very good and cleanliness and well maintained everything.

Food was really nice , specially aloo tikki chaat flavour , test was very orthentic. Paneer kadai was testy too. Butter naan was very soft & properly cooked . Service from the staff was very good . Overall good experience.

It is one of the best Indian restaurants in the neighborhood. Takes time to prepare food, not like other quick-service-restuarants you find on Oxford road. Brilliant ambiance. We attended a birthday party there. The food was so nice. Also, they have an attached sports-bar area, which is a plus. They have Indian buffet every Sunday till 4 PM.

Very nice food and great veggie options. Highly recommend the Patta chaat. One slight improvement area could be the chicken selection- which is a tad bog standard. But everything does take great.

Avoid this place - they are parking scammers. They have VERY poor signage in place that says apparently you have to register - I did not see this on entry to the car park or the pub, the waiter did not inform us either. I received a £60 fine and called the restaurant multiple times about this, was assured multiple times the ticket would be cancelled, only to find out now that weeks later it still isn’t and the fine has gone up to £100. It’s a ridiculous system, a rip off and they are not truthful to customers, and I will never ever dine here again given this is how they value customers.

Seated 11 of us (including 2 infants) in the restaurant section. Everyone loved the food, I can personally recommend the Punjabi fish fry and the railway lamb. They were very accommodating in providing us with to go boxes so we can take home what we didn't finish. Will 100% be coming again. Also they do a pub quiz on Thursday nights so will be going to that too.

Still a very nice, lively neighbourhood pub/restaurant. The food was nice but our chicken dishes somehow tasted of fish. Don't know how that's possible? They could also do with a wider selection of beer (IPA) again. I've come here for many years and the selection used to be better. Lovely, helpful staff, though.

Dog friendly, good food, drinks are reasonably priced and has heated outdoor area. Free quiz night on Thursdays and kids are allowed until 21.00h. Recently changed owners and now has a separate dining area. Food is still delicious. The fish curry and paneer jalfrezi are delicious.

I ate at this restaurant on Friday evening as part of a large party. We had a great meal. I had the railway lamb curry that was really tender and tasty. The staff were very helpful. Will definitely return. You can park in the pub car park after registering your car number plate.

This is the best place to eat locally. A beautiful old pub with food that is amazing!! There is so much detail I know what food i can eat being gluten intolerant. Food was ok. Ambience not great, multiple small screens everywhere. Expected bigger screens when I went there during a match time.

I came in here for a drink with a friend and was left waiting at the bar for about 10 minutes even though 3 bar staff saw me. The last time I came in the experience was much better I'm not entirely sure what has changed.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner was incredibly rude, and the overall management was a disaster. I would strongly advise against ever going to this place.

I have no problem with the service, the staff is nice and friendly. I have eaten here before and had a great experience but yesterday my friend and I dined in, his lamb skewers were nice and tasty. My cajun chicken burger (which I should have sent back) was not up to par. The chicken fillet was solid hard in places, same for the bap. The chips was okay, the salad on the burger was tasted great. I am not sure if my cajun chicken burger was nuked in the microwave or just simply over cooked. It is a shame as I had the cajun chicken burger before and it was very tasty experience.

Love this place. Food is fantastic, and always consistent. Lovely service and glad to have this pub as our local.

This seriously is possibly the best Indian Restaurant I've experienced. Our first visit. The last time I went to the Spread Eagle it was just a very average pub. It is now a pretty everage pub with a great restaurant attached! Highly recommended.

If ever crave for authentic Indian kofta then is this the place. Kale kofta and gobi muchurian is a must dinner. I would highly recommend this place for anyone craving a good meal.

Food quality and taste is very very poor I had Punjabi chicken masala that taste was so horrible. Everything on the menu book looks amazing but when you order you get something else. How embarrassing!! Very poor service. Will not recommend to anybody.

I payed about £4.5 for my first beer and the second one the owner charged me £5.5 for the same beer. Never comimg back again.

Must try if you are after authentic food. Dal Bukhara, Karahi Paneer and Manchurian are absolute favourites. Quick service and fresh food which no other restaurant in Reading can beat. They customise the order as per your needs if you want less spicy for kids.

Unbelievable atmosphere and incredible service, the food is out of this world, must recommend the samosa’s and tikka masala, if you fancy something spicy then go for the lamb shank! Excellent beer choices and the pub quiz on a Thursday is second to none! When the pub quiz is done and the food is eaten, go try your hand at the dart board! Gopal will look after you all night and provide the experience of a lifetime

I recently dined at the Spread Eagle pub after nearly a year, and I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of a separate restaurant space called the Bagheera. The new area has a lovely decor and creates a great atmosphere. The service I received was friendly, efficient, and timely, adding to the overall positive experience. As for the food, it maintained the pub's normal high standard, which I greatly appreciated. The Spread Eagle continues to deliver delicious meals, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I would highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience in a welcoming environment.

Ordered a takeaway from the Indian fusion menu. My food tasted OK but seemed very cheap bits of meat in it. My wife didn't eat hers as she didn't like the taste, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as she wasn't as ill as me. Not long after eating I had terrible stomach pain and felt sick. I normally eat very clean and work out 6 times a week so a takeaway is a big treat. Felt very let down. Also I think there must have been a lot of salt in the food as I was waking up thirsty all night long considering I drink 5 litres of water a day there must have been some real rubbish in this meal to do that to me. I wouldn't ever take the risk of eating from here again, I value my health to much.

Best Indian restaurant in Reading.We had a wonderful experience at Bhageera. The food was delicious and authentic, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I especially enjoyed the patta chaat and peshwari naan. The restaurant was clean and spacious, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I want to give a special shout-out to Gopal, our waiter, who was very helpful and courteous. He made us feel welcome and comfortable, and gave us some great recommendations. I highly recommend Bhageera to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Reading town. You won't regret it!

Went Saturday night after it was recommended to us Absolutely loved the food I had tandoori king prawns & paneer tikka .. So GOOD! Beautiful restaurant and then you can go next door to the pub Cant wait to go back!!

Unfortunately some side street food style dishes need more improvement such as papdi chat. They don't have that wow taste to them that you'd expect from street food dishes. Lassi was underwhelming and too sweet. We were also disappointed to see Nepalese dishes disappear from the new menu which were present before the rebrand. Good service from waiters though and mix grill was quite tasty. The new decor is much better than old one. Keep it up and hope it will be better experience next time.

We celebrated our daughter 2 years birthday @ Bagheera. Dheeraj and Mahipaul were generous to provide us a bigger space where we had our table decoration and food. They co-ordinated with every way, like they didnt charge any setup fee, they didnt said that you can only take upto this many hours, nothing like that. We came here for decoration at 11:45 and left after party and food at 4:45. They only charged us the food bill. Food was also good. Highly recommend restuarant in Reading
