No idea why people are complaining. One of the best takeaways in reading. Never had a bad experience in seven years from ordering with them. Highly recommend.

I always order from these as service and food are excellent. unfortunately my order was very late.. it was only after an hour late I made a call to them of which they apologised. I then received my order half an hour after that. so in total 1 1/2 hrs late. my order was not cheap us eating much too late in the evening I would expect at least some sort of refund of either half or full payment. If nothing received back I will be putting a a not so favourable review of which I'm very reluctant to do. I await your reply kinds regards Leila

The food was delivered very late even beyond the committed time . The reason mentioned that the restaurant was busy that day .

Although a bit late, the food was piping hot and very tasty indeed, and delivered by a very apologetic and polite delivery driver. very impressed well done and thanks.

Delivery time was already 1hour and 15mims but it was also ten minutes late on top of that. However, it’s New Year’s Eve so understandably might’ve been busy and food was warm and tasted really good. Worth the wait.

The curry was unfortunately watery and the rest of the meal was bland and not up to the usual standard.

Awaiting a call back as the food order got messed up, one was meant to be a chicken dish and the other a lamb dish, they got swapped around, causing upset for my guests.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and I can honestly say no where i have ever been has beaten the Himilayan Hotspot Butter Chicken and Chicken Jalfrezi. Amazing food, always hot when it’s delivered, can take a while for them to cook but thats how you know it’s fresh and not just warmed up. 10/10 recommend. I recommend eating in too as their poppadoms are really good!! Best raita in Reading!

Ordered at 6:20pm, told 7:30 to 7:50, phoned up at 8pm, food on its way they said, arrived 8:20pm. Yes it was a Saturday but some of the food was like warm at best, first and last time ordering here. Lamb sag was very watery and probably the spinach was still half frozen. Just poor all round.

The food was delicious! Really nice sauce, tender and flavoursome lamb and chicken, tasty naan and crispy samosas with nice spicy filling!

Always great service and food is excellent. Visited on a Wednesday evening when they do a set menu offer so was very busy but still receive the same attention to detail and levels of service to nights when they are not so busy. Would highly recommend a visit

After years of saying I was going to try it we finally got round to having a takeaway. The good was delicious and my daughter and I enjoyed all the dishes we bought plus really appreciated the free onion bhaji, poppadoms and pickles. We definitely will be ordering from here again. Fantastic

Really great value Sunday buffet. Visited early (1715), and all the dishes were full and very flavoursome. Good selection meeting all tastes with varying levels of heat. You can eat as much as you like but always find that once you have had the poppadoms, pickle tray, starters and a plate of main course, there's no room for seconds. Four people with two rounds of drinks - £70 - superb value and no washing up!

Food and service was excellent would highly recommend.

I had the Himalayan Sekuwa, which was shown on the menu as the chef’s specialty. This tasty chicken dish was flavoured with ginger and served with onions and peppers. It was ready to collect in about 20 mins and made a good last-minute takeaway.

Missmass - which was my favourite dish was not as flavorful this time round. Okay but not the usual five stars this time.

Really can’t share the experience as the website and Google said it was open today - Monday yet the collection order via JustEat was cancelled and when we got there the door was locked. Owner needs to amend opening hours to day closed on Mondays on both Google and their website.

Keep the Chef at all costs, really tasty

Very pleasant, friendly staff, atmosphere was nice. The the Sunday all you can eat buffet, which is reasonably priced, very filling. Would recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Himalayan Hot Spot on School Road in Tilehurst is a friendly and cosy Indian food restaurant. The staff are welcoming courteous and very friendly. There is a wide range of dishes to choose from on the menu and portion sizes are generous. Prices are good. The food is very good. I recommend the special jalfrezi and it is spicy hot. It is a fairly small establishment but you should be able to get a table though best to book. You can start with a couple drinks in the pub opposite then head over for some good quality food. The food normally arrives pretty quickly. Been here quite a few times and will be going back. A popular place and deservedly so. Recommended.

All the food was really good and we use this takeaway a lot. The only real letdown and disappointment was the chicken korma. The chicken was reallly tough and chewy where as the tikka masala was perfectly soft.

There is a large choice and the food is always good. My friend who hasn't been there for years said it was the best peshwari naan she'd ever had!

I use to order Parantha knowing they are lovely soft and tasty, now for the past two orders they are worse than hard tree bark. I could barely chew them. I even called the resturant asking for good parantha, but I believe they might have changed their staff. I would be trying other paces next time.

The delivery man knocked the door and left the food outside the door. However when I open the door he came back to handover the food to me. Food was very cold. The delivery man didn't have a food warmer container with him. The food was transferred in normal takeaway package. Choila didn't test like real Choila. It seems like 😇😅

It was my first time been there, we had such a lovely dinner, amazing service, delicious and tasty meal. Clean and healthy. I definitely will come back to it and will recommend it to my friends. Thank you for the hospitality and the best service.
