Very unusual for this establishment as normally service is great. Today the bar worker was both inattentive upon our arrival and when asked to clean the table basically "eye-rolled" and then asked "is that good enough for you" in a manner not befitting the usual service received here. Very disappointed as we used to come here all the time to see that standards appear to have slipped. The ultimate show of inattentiveness was when the bar worker dropped her phone into the bin whilst scrolling behind the bar.

Very Disappointing! We’ve eaten here before and had a lovely meal but last night was not satisfactory. The lamb in the passando was tough and chewy, the onion bhajis were undercooked and the nan bread came out cold. When paying over £100 for 2 x adults and 2x kids when the quality is poor leaves a very sour taste in your mouth!

What’s happened??? Have visited here many a time for a Sunday Carvery and have never been able to fault it at all, however today was a different experience all together. Where has the chef gone that had been there for years!! Because they should get him get back. Half the veg wasn’t available and what was there was stone cold, couldn’t even warn it up with the gravy because that was cold also, as well as being waterey!!! Meat was overcooked and dry and probably the first time in my live I’ve left half the food on the plate. Such a shame as have never faulted this place, and always recommended to everyone. Also staff are waste of space! May aswell not be there and about as much enthusiasm as a bald Gibbon. Couldn’t even be bothered to see if we wanted anymore drinks, take the dirty plates or come and give us out bill!!! And as someone else mentioned the seating arrangements are a joke!!! Literally had everyone crammed in a small line whilst half the restaurant was empty making it an unenjoyable experience for all! Nothing against dogs but we don’t all want to be harassed by them when eating food!!! Shame! And will be going elsewhere now for our carvery’s as didn’t realise it has changed.

I had venison ragu, the parpadelle pasta was whiter than Casper, the mince was like it was frozen with tiny frozen carrots in between don’t think any seasoning or any type of tomato sauce mixed in whatsoever, beef burger was ok and chicken burger looked good by the fries were stone cold. Kids roast dinner, half a Yorkshire pudding - seriously who cuts a Yorkie in half talk about tight for the price!

We actually had a few trips here, for a casual drink, then lunch and a Sunday dinner. We couldn't fault the food and friendly welcome. New owners, Maddie and Billy made sure we were happy with food, accommodating a very fussy husband. Service from them and staff was lovely. Thai night food was amazing, thankyou Yada. And Sunday dinner, WoW! I have never seen so much food, and gorgeous.

Staff do not manage Disabled Parking. None of vehicles parked displayed a Blue Badge on the occasion when I recently stopped by. The bonnets were cold to touch! Observation of the movements of diners eliminated customers as the vehicle owners. The only other explanation is that staff were using the allocated Disabled spaces for their use. When questioned the restaurant Manager's response was, "I can do nothing about it!". McDonald's staff are responsible for the whole site, including parking. Concern and support for registered Disabled, by McDonald's at Picket Post, is lacking. ignoring supervision and the correct use of Disabled parking. (Sadly it is also very clear that reviews are not read and responded to!).
