Amazing food and pleased they was able to fit us in on a busy day they had planned. Only downfall was on arrival the lady said sorry your parked in a disabled bay (by looking at us presuming none of us are disabled - not every disability is visible!) so we then corrected her and informed her that yes a disabled badge for our son

We went there for breakfast. There was 5 adults and 2 young children. I thought the food was average and very expensive . It came to over £101 for 4 simple mimi breakfasts, 1 yoghurt and fruit and toast. The children had pancakes. It was much too expensive in my view. The service and staff were good however we had to sit outside under a polytunnel in the poring rain and I have to say, it was not comfortable. The seating is hard and old and the tables don't look very clean. I'll be honest, the food was nothing special and I'm not sure I'd be happy to recommend it.

I arrived at The Potting Shed Cafe at 9am on a Sunday morning just as they were opening up. I was extremely surprised to see that all the inside tables had already been reserved but fortunately, the kind hostess was able to find me a seat and table. Apparently, it's really advisable to book a table at the weekends as this place can be very popular. I ordered the full English breakfast with a latee and two extra sausages to take away (the dogs). The service I received was very friendly with a minimal wait for my food to arrive. I have to say that this was one of the loveliest cooked breakfasts that I've had in a very long time and it's the reason why I feel that a good review has to be posted. The fried eggs were fresh, and the sausages were extremely good quality and not your everyday cafe bread tubes. I would thoroughly recommend this cafe without any hesitation and I'll be returning soon. Well done!

We had the Thai Prawn curry and Beef Rogan Josh and both were not good. The former was a glutinous cornflower paste base and insipid. The latter was a watery beef stew with added red chillies. Sadly we had already paid a deposit. We explained our view to the co-owner who seemed surprised By constructive feedback. Fortunately we did not pay the balance of the bill. A shame as we need good local eateries

This is a little gem of a place. In the New Forest in a relatively small village. It's rustic and apparently in the summer there are outside seating and eating areas. However this was my Mother's day present from my son so we were sat inside. It was a lovely varied breakfast menu with some really nice variations. The staff were all lovely and friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious with a lot of local produce. Families were enjoying themselves and it's dog friendly too. The toilets were lovely and clean and there is ample parking. On site there is some plants and a country store. Not only that but there is a very nice farm shop there too. We had never been before but are definitely going back 😁......thank you all for a lovely time.

This was a last minute decision on a cold and wet November Sunday. The inside space was full so we braved it out in the poly tent with a few blankets from the car! It was cold but it was dry inside and there was a charm to the place which meant that we felt warm. It was also very kind of the staff to bring us free hot chocolates all round! We actually noticed that inside was noisy, hot and a bit smoky from the cooking, so we were perfectly happy in the tent. We all really enjoyed our food and between us we had tiger prawns, cow burger, rarebit and pie of the day. The chips/fries were a highlight, but it was all good and reasonably priced. Wherever I go I check out the cappuccino. This was good. I like the coffee strong and could take it stronger than was served here, but nonetheless, this was a good coffee. If I had any suggestions for the team it would be to fully enclose the polytent, put some throws/blankets out there and make full use of it!

Second visit, this time for breakfast which was as good a breakfast as I've ever had. I'm not sure what my expectations were, but what arrived was incredible value for money. I'd describe it as really "clean" and well presented. Two eggs, sourdough, local sausage (amazing) two bacon rashers, black pudding, beans, hash brown and incredible mushrooms that stole the show. All for under £12!!! That's a £25 breakfast in most London hotels - I was genuinely surprised at how cheap this was. Great staff, great venue and lots of smiling faces - even on the many dogs that also like to visit. Well done guys you've got a little gem in the Forest.

It transpired that we actually were due at The Potting Shed in New Milton but after being assisted by staff there to contact the other Potting Shed (& using their phone too to sort it) we decided to stay and enjoy Afternoon Tea with them instead. So glad we did! Delicious sandwiches all freshly made, huge scones perfectly baked with clotted cream and jam and four massive cakes…all scrumptious (although we needed to take home with us)!! Lots of fresh tea to wash it all down. Just perfect and a belated birthday pressie for a dear friend! It would appear many (like me) confuse the two Potting Sheds…take care when reviewing!! Wonderful place for breakfast and the cakes looked divine. Sadly, we weren’t able to sample the cakes due to the attitude of the senior member of staff. We arrived, sat down at an empty table, ordered our food and advised the senior member of staff (possibly owner?) that we were at table 500. She took the order (and our money of course) and we waited for our food and coffee. The coffee arrived and then some time after a member of the staff put ‘reserved’ signs on the two tables connected to ours and asked the people occupying the other end of the tables to move . We were not asked to move. Then a few of the eleven persons who had reserved the tables arrived and told us that there wouldn’t be room for us as they had pre booked their meals. There were no spare tables for us to move to so I said that we would move once one did become available. Unfortunately, our food arrived before there were any spare tables. At 11.27 (and I assume the table was reserved from 11.30) whilst we were still eating, the senior member of staff (possibly owner) came over and, rather rudely in my opinion, told us that the table was reserved and tried to accuse us of sitting there knowing it was reserved. This could have been handled in a much more sympathetic way - I completely understand that mistakes happen and had the staff been up front with the issue at the start and helped us to find another table - we would have been totally accommodating but to actually accuse us of wrong doing is totally unacceptable. On a positive -the breakfast and coffee were lovely!

Rhinefield House is in a great location, very close to a lot of the walking/cycling paths. The staff are extremely helpful and the room staff work very hard to keep the main areas clean. The food is decent and they have vegan options as well. However, I will probably not return. The hotel portion is very dated -- at least 20 years old and needs an upgrade. Our room did not have a smart TV so we couldn't watch Netflix or Amazon. The staff said "some" of the rooms have a smart TV. The window only opens a crack (there's a child lock on it) and the room was very stuffy and stale. The bathroom has no vent either making it damp and gross. The room itself was very much like a Holiday Inn room in Orlando and the walls are thin. The Wi-Fi worked well. Final thought process is, if you're going to spend 1500 for four days there are better options (The Pig, for example.) Thank you to the staff for looking after us. They are the best part of this hotel.
