Only stop for the toilet as going on a long way

Very busy at lunchtime with a smallish car park. So best to get a drive through or aim to go at non peak times. Otherwise, a good McDonald's was clean and staff were friendly.

Went there on a Sunday night at 10pm ish. Obviously an extreeemely busy restaurant as there was about 15 other orders in front of my own. They're definitely an understaffed establishment and as its so compacted in there it made it very cramped inside and outside in the car park. Bins were big time overflowing, sauce canisters were empty, toilets were revolting, and just generally a really grubby place! But staff were awesome and order was right and wasn't too bad all things considered. This is the only services through the new forest unless you go as far as Rownhams on the M27 before you get to the M3, although there is another small services at junction 2 I think?

The speed is amazing, really quick. The parking is horrendous. People driving around like looney tunes blocking the carpark hoping on a spot so they don't need to walk the extra 5 meters. Otherwise it's a mcds that is quick.

No decaf coffee of any description.

The food was actually pretty good. The fries were fresh and crispy and all the burgers were nice. The service was pretty absent until we were leaving when someone came to take our trays.

It was a long 25 min wait for our order ...the restaurant was incredibly messy and toilets were awfully unclean ...The staff were absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of people ordering which only suggested lack of staff and they were left with no chips for a while because they weren't organiser enough ...very bad experience.

Long queue in the Drive Thru but I guess it was lunchtime ish - but asked for ketchup and salt which was not put in the bag. Otherwise ok.

Very dirty McDonald's. All tables full of dirt outside the same. Self service TV sticky and dirty. I had to go to toilet to wet tissue and clean the table. No one is cleaning. Never seen that dirty McDonald's before.

some staff are more pleasant than others. The "background" music is too loud , especially early mornings, should be adjusted to suit . Sauce and serviettes are not always available. Overall good service. Click and Collect is not much use, as long as the management allow this (photo).

Really dirty fast food. I've never seen anything like this! Full trays on tables. Customers who wanted to clear their trays, couldn't do this because bins were overly full, probably not cleared all day. Worse, one of the employees was outside chilling, talking on the phone ( supervisor shirt, young lad, blond, short hair). He could have taken 10 min to clear all rubbish and then have his break. Customers would stand and eat. Very sad to see how customers were absolutely disrespected! Imagine the kitchen or the toilet!!!!!!!!!

Very quick service , food hot. But yes I was there late at night , still very busy, but half the seating area indoors was shut off ( so most people were sat in their cars)music extremely loud ,quite a few people comintated . Only down side bins were were full and tables not cleared or cleaned .

Went in to eat on Monday at 19:30, used App to order and waited 20 mins to order. Tables outside are not wiped down, very dirty.

Arrogant assistant manager Harrison. Manager and Harrison couldn’t care less about customer needs. Priority was moving drive thru on.

All good but the parking is too tight and customers get frayed squeezing into spaces which are too small especially the ones with silly sized cars

It's ok. Not really central. Looks like it's just been popped there. Carpark very small. So most wagons or vans park on the road side. Staff seem OK, was clean and tidy

Nice and clean restaurant and food as expected

Ordered chicken select share box & a garlic & herb dip - got given 9 nuggets & no dip, also got charged for the select share box & dip odered a large double cheese burger meal & got given a medium & ordered a triple cheese burger & got given a double with no ketchup that we requested. Will not be coming back

Pretty much what you would expect from a Mc Donalds, the food does seem to vary in quality from day to day/times in day but never had anything terrible served which is all you really ask from fast food anyway. The staff do work at a good pace even for fast food, you won't be waiting for long for food unless in a really busy rush, the few times I have talked to staff they are polite and accomodting as you could reasonably expect. They also bring out food quickly and without issue every time when you choose the option on the app. They also seem to deal really well with bigger orders, I don't know if it is coincidence but food has always been fresh and hot when making bigger orders for multiple people. The main critisism I would have for this one that is a standout negative to me is that anytime you make a modification to a burger (e.g. adding cheese or bacon slices in order) it seems very thrown together and not the most appealing, but the standard menu is usually fine. As with any Mc Donalds how hot/fresh the fries are is pretty random luck of the draw but definately more times it is good than not. All in all a fine pick using the average McDonalds experience as a bar. Of course nothing special but it's what you would expect and maybe a little better for McDonalds.

The food was good, service was quick. Staff was polite. The toilets were not so clean though.

It's a McDonald's. It's not a dirty one. You know exactly what you're getting. Has a good soft play area for the kids, so that's a bonus star

As far as a McDonald's go this one was pretty decent. The staff were fast and service moved quickly.. there was a few young people being loud but no issues really. I don't eat McDonalds often so this was a McRare visit lol.

Easy to get to, fast service, clean Restaraunt and a good atmosphere in the Restaraunt. Only downside was the staff frantically raising their voices at each other from the kitchen

This is one of the worst Macdonald's I've ever been to. The food is fine but the ladies bathroom is disgusting and filthy. The music is so loud that you can't talk and the staff are extremely rude. Don't come here for a relaxing time.

Ok but toilets were extremely dirty

Drive through. Cheese and Herby dips nice but not piping hot. Apple pie tepid to warm vanilla milk shake not as cold as I am used to

Mcdonalds located at Burley Services, Hampshire is a fantastic restaurant. Very clean, great decor and fantastic gifts for the children. Also the tablets for children to play on is super cool. Food was served quickly. I would definitely recommend this McDonald's restaurant.

Busy, toilets OK, food OK, not great but was only there for 10 mins, good for a quick stop but parking spaces are tight

Called in for food to take out to the lookout at Picket Post . Second time lately we have done this and the chips have been disgusting, luke warm and stodgy. Like they had been cooked ages ago. Rest of the meal was great though.

Favourite McDonald's in Southampton.

Quick service. The bacon roll would put posh hotels to shame & as ever the coffee was proper tasty, all without pretentious pomp.

told on order no mcflurrys, standard, buy no wraps? maybe an issue with stock but otherwise I don't understand why no wraps. no explanation... don't become Ower!

Let's be fair, McDonald's is never going to get a 5 star for food! But it was good (for a McDonald's). Pulled into the drive-thru, no queue. Perfect. Then realised there was a queue (I can't see round corners, must have been on a shift change or something similar). Didn't move for about 5 minutes! By the time I'd moved, there was a reasonably large Q behind. Fries were fresh as a daisy, fella who took my money was a cheerful chap, and my food was delivered with a smile. Ate it in the car round the corner. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

It's always a pleasure to go to a Mcdonald outlet, staff are very courteous, helpful and friendly.

Was told to park & await order. When order (eventually) was brought out, two elements were missing. Had to join queue again to collect omitted items. The "window" was not aware of my return. I produced the receipt & bag with missing items. I was not told to park up again. Now, the rest of the order had become tepid. At this outlet, the vegetarian option was not up to McD's usual standard. It was misshapen, broken & cold.

Well it's McDonald's, basic burger thrown together, dry rolls, no butter. Basic sauces, it's just fills a hole.

Food was great but my complete appreciation for the staff. I left my bag by accident in the restaurant with work laptops, phones ( half my life). Once I realised I'd left it behind, I called the restaurant and the staff Informed me that they had it. Returned to retrieve it and everything as it should be. Rare these days to find such honorable folk. A huge thankyou 🙏🏻

Only giving 1 star as 0 stars not an option. Poor service. Ordered a coffee which took over 10 mins to come on a slow mid-week day. Staff more bothered about gossiping than serving. Coffee luke warm when someone eventually managed to bring around, obviously been sat for a while. Joke

They had milkshakes!!!! That’s all that needs to be said

No problem with the food but be aware of parking charges. We met our daughter here on her way back to Manchester and were chatting for ages. We didn't realise that there were parking charges and went ten minutes over the 1 hour 30 minutes allowed resulting in a £60 charge. Feel that this was pretty unreasonable as we were eating in the restaurant - appealed but to no avail. Very disappointed that signage isn't more obvious inside the McDonald's and won't be returning.

Stopped a few times with the granddaughters on the way home from visiting places West of here. Car parking is limited so if you're not visiting the drive thru you might be disappointed.

A GOOD place to stop at for food and drinks. I have been using this place to pick up bacon rolls in the morning to take into work. They have ALL been very good so far with NO problems. I have also had to use this place more now as KFC in Ferndown is now closed down. The only problem you get in the daytime is that their carpark is small and can be busy at times to park if you want to eat in and not in your car. Thank you.

Well the new forest a ancient wood land in the south of England. Great accessable countryside. Lovely walks, good cycling and more picnic spots per square mile than anywhere else in the world. (possibly). What could enhance that more than a McDonald's restaurants. Fast food when you want it available most of the day. Please make sure you put your wrappers and rubbish on the roadside the moment you finish them. It is important that everyone can see you enjoyed you meal. If you come from the city you can eat hear and a part from the slightly lower level of diesel fumes you will hardly notice the difference. Situated at the top of a hill close to the busiest road in the forest that may hardly be a problem too. Seriously, cheap honest food quick and at a good price Please take you litter back home.

Standard McDonald’s experience. No frills, sullen staff and mediocre food. Chicken Big Mac was underwhelming to say the least with shredded lettuce that shot out and into my lap at every bite and sauce that served only to give flavour to the rather bland chicken patties. It filled a hole, which was my only reason for visiting in the first place.

Feels like your hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Nice little McDonald's. Ideal if you've been out for a walk or biking in the New forest. Or if you just spent the day in the New forest. I think it's the smallest McDonald's drive-thru I've seen.

Would be better rating if they got the order correct - not sure how a 2 big mac meals and 2 cheese burgers ended up being 1 chicken nuggets and a small frys - then when it went back it became 2 cheeseburgers on their own. The 3rd time it was chicken nuggets, Frys and a big mac on it own The 4th time was a refund and a Burger King!

Just a quick take away coffee this time, efficient and friendly.

The greeter's at this location are amazing. The food is good, hot and the restaurant is clean. Great job 👍

Shocking service rude staff poor food

Best Macdonalds around. Where else can you get food that looks like the pictures, a lovely clean restaurant and staff who ask to take you tray for you. Brilliant

It's amazing how during drive through the member of staff can take my order, do their make up, use their mobile phone to communicate with another planet but still manage a smile. Great job 👍

We didn't dine in hence 1 star. The best McDonald's around. Food is piping hot, crispy chips, unheard of I know, but this place does great chips. Recommend every time.

As McDonald’s go this place is ok. Standard McDonald’s affair. No cash tills here. Order on screens as you go in or order on app. Can get table service here. Toilets to use here and can pay with Amex here. Also has limited parking and drive thru here.

1st time in ages, cold chips, wrong happy meal. Poor service. It will be a very long time I eat in one again!

Went in drive frow fast and got order correct

Service was a little slow but there was an apology.

Ordered at the drive through and was given drinks and asked to park and wait. We checked and they hadn’t given us one of the drinks. A server brought our food over and we asked for the missing drink which he brought over with apologies. All fine. Drove off to find once on the motorway that there was no maple syrup for our children’s pancakes. Impossible to turn back when on the road to London so had to wait for 15 miles to call in at the next McDonalds. Please just check for syrup when you’re giving customers pancakes!

Food was better then other outlets we've tried, however was very shocked by the amount of large rats freely running around the car park. Spoke to member of staff to highlight the rat issue however they were not interested.
