We moved to Burley recently and have really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the WB. They make a really valuable contribution to the community and have some fun events (e.g. quizzes, discos, book clubs, etc). The staff and volunteers work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Also offers the cheapest drinks in Burley!

Staying in local area. Although shop looks tired outside, very clean and very good fish and chips with fish cooked fresh to order. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been coming here with my little brother since I was really small and my grandma would take us there after school! I’m now 20 and still attempt to drag my boyfriend there whenever we pass(with little resistance from him 🤣) the ice cream is to die for!! Proper ice cream if you know what I mean! And the best toppings and flavours imaginable, a child’s heaven!! I still can’t resist their ice cream and would 11/10 recommend :)

First of all, I would like to thank the affection and attention of the employees. Because a good establishment starts with a good service. The breakfast is super delicious, complete with many varieties.

We stayed there 16 September 2024 and was treated with open arms, Paf was very friendly and attended all our needs, great customer service was given to us . I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to friends and family.

Great stop off on a circular bike ride for lunch and half a cider. Always been a favourite. It's changing hands in the near future, so suggest you read the latest reviews to get the low down...

Quick and attentive service. We had cake and tea which was really nice. However, prices were at the high end. Good stopping off point in New forest.

We went for a relaxed breakfast and it was great. Very reasonably priced, lovely coffee ( we ordered more!) and good home cooked food. The service was excellent too. We’ll definitely be back.

I met some mates here, for breakfast and a coffee. This was my first visit and I was not disappointed, in fact, I was very impressed! Friendly service, from. Honey, who looked after us extremely well, great food and drinks too, with local produce, which is always nice. The cafe is clean and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. I’m sure I’ll be heading back there in the not too distant future. Keep up the good work!

A little gem of a place, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Coffee was really nice with a toasted teacake that was huge. Good conversation with the staff plus the standard of Covid precautions are one of the best we have seen. Would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area.

Dreadful service took ages to order starter terrine came without toast or bread had to get up to find a waiter he apologised and said ahoild have come with some the toast came after nearly finished the terrine as took nearly 10 minutes for it arrive main roast came hardly any gravy asked for some horseradish cranberry and more gravy waitress came back with horseradish but said she had to get the cranberry out of the fridge and will be back with the gravy well she never came back had to go get another waiter who then came back and said didnt have cranberry but here is more gravy again over 10 minutes wait for this answer and gravy we finished main waited over 15 minutes then had to find a waiter to ask if we could see the dessert menu and could someone clear our plates in the meantime there was a baby shower on the orangery but 3 young children had decided to come out and run up and down thumping and screaming through the whole restaurant whilst parents looked on and thought it was fun staff said nothing and let them do this tried to order dessert but out of some and the dessert wasn't even what was on the menu ordered one didn't arrive within 15 minutes we couldn't take the kids running up and down screaming so we got up and walked out went to reception to ask for bill and to complain the receptionist offered the manager we said no just wanted to pay and get coats as we had had a enough the receptionist went to get our bill and returned with the manager who turned out to be the young girl who didn't bother coming back with the cranberry sauce or gravy said this to her she said oh someone was supposed to tell you that there was no cranberry sauce i said and what aboit the gravy you didn't bother coming back with that either well what a joke it all was really this young girl could not run or organise anything Dreadful Dreadful service and Dreadful place and atmosphere for a relaxing Sunday roast AVOID AVOID more stress and upset and no food comes or anything else you ask for you have to keep getting up to get any service!! Never had such Dreadful service especially in supposedly a manor hoise well certainly did not have the atmosphere or service of a Manor house

Been coming here for over 16 years 3-4 time a year with the family as it used to do the best cream teas around . Homemade very big and warm cream just melts inside. On most recent visit we were all served 2 tiny dry brought in frozen ones . Real shame as we used to love cream tea after lunch in there . Afraid to say if this its now going to be like this that we won't be coming back again
