We moved to Burley recently and have really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the WB. They make a really valuable contribution to the community and have some fun events (e.g. quizzes, discos, book clubs, etc). The staff and volunteers work really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Also offers the cheapest drinks in Burley!

Very Friendly, very welcoming and great food (and drinks) too. This will be our go to when we go to Burley from now on.

Excellent Sunday lunch and plenty of it, very good value at £12.95 each. Then a cracking live band outside, brilliant afternoon

Great afternoon. Barbecue and fantastic band with few pints of Doombar. What more do you need on a lazy Sunday afternoon?

This is a nice local pub with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We went to watch the football and decided to stay on for the Sunday roast - great decision as the food was really good!

Our daughter and family were visiting so wanted somewhere for Sunday lunch at short notice and had seen signs saying booking not required at the Wathen Bartlett. The place was reasonably busy but we were greeted in a very friendly manner but warned there might be a slight wait for food. The children's menu was perfect for the kids (as well as an option of small portion roast) and all four adults went for the roasts. The wait turned out to be very slight (the children didn't have a chance to get bored) and we all agreed that the meal was one of the best pub roasts we'd had and was excellent value. Should add that, with a mix of friendly locals and visitors (there was a "fairy festival" on in the village that weekend), the atmosphere was really pleasant and that my daughter's golden retriever was also welcomed (and got free biscuits).

We visited on Saturday afternoon and found live music and a bbq alongside the usual menu. The food was excellent and good value for money. The band were great, live music outside in the garden on a sunny Saturday afternoon! Staff were friendly and welcoming. We will certainly return and would definitely recommend.

Granary bread was lovely and the bacon and cheese pastry was described as the best ever eaten. Belgian bun was soft and much better than some tough ones. Staff very friendly and treated everyone as valued customers which many places don't. Would definitely visit again when in area and recommend to others
