Quick and attentive service. We had cake and tea which was really nice. However, prices were at the high end. Good stopping off point in New forest.

Awful service, staff totally ignored us even though we had told them where we were sitting. Orders for people who arrived AFTER us were taken before. We got fed up so my husband approached staff to inform them of this and all she could do was look vacantly at him - no apology, nothing. So we walked out. And no, it wasn't just us - I witnessed two other parties walk out for the exact same reason

Ordered the dry cider and it tasted vinegary and was just awful. When we asked if this was ok was told that she did not drink cider, she proceeded to pour some from my glass into another glass and tried it herself . Made a grimace face then said it was ok. We could not drink this awful drink. Did not offer to refund the £7.50 so I asked for a bottle one instead at half the price. Will not go back again. Just awful.

I loved this hidden gem that we stumbled on. The staff were so lovely and helpful, helping me chose what to eat. I loved the way they incorporated the cider into so many of they food options too, ie the fruit in the fruit scones were marinated in cider 😋 The food was soooo good! Such a gorgeous little place. We didn't check out the cider shop so can't comment on that.

It's exactly what you would expect from a small village, no frills but fantastic food, large portions, welsh rarebit & a jacket spud our choices, washed down with a big pot of tea and a couple of glasses of cider. I would recommend this for lunch to everyone, maybe not the cider if you're driving.

Great Stop On A Great Cycle Route. Stopped off for a Tea (real tea leaves) and a superb coffee. The coffee cake and scone and jam were marvellous. The service was lovely along with the quiet garden to have our drinks in whilst deciding upon the next part of the ride. It would be a reason to go back to the New Forest just to have the coffee and cake.

A lovely visit for brunch with my parents and 1 year old - very lucky my Mum went on their website so we knew of the midday cut off for food. Food and service absolutely wonderful - my baby was so welcome, friendly chatty staff and great quality food with an interesting mix of brunch options. Can’t understand the business decision to stop food at 12 when the offering and location are so brilliant - hoping they can stay open for the October festival as we would love to go now we’ve found such a gem!

We visit the New Forest every year and one of our go to places for lunch every time is the Cider Pantry. Visited today so disappointed, what has happened to this beautiful gem of a coffee shop. Firstly only serve breakfast up until 12 then no food after that as they close. The cider barn is open if you want coffees from a cheap machine in a paper cup along with cakes and sausage rolls from a bag, you can eat in their garden which now has about 6 tables in the area which isn’t looked after like it used to be, we just walked away, if it continues I can only imagine next year when I visit it will probably be closed.

Have been visiting the Cider Pantry for over a decade. It’s a favourite call in on bike rides for lunch, milkshakes and cake. Called in yesterday to find food is longer served after 12pm. So we upped left, and went to a competitor in the town. Maybe staffing is tough but to cut food at 12 with all the tourists is odd. We chatted to a few groups in the beer garden who were equally perplexed and vexed

We visited for 'lunch', but with two small children we arrived early at around 11.45am - so lucky that we did, as food was stopped being served at midday!! So, the kids ended up eating off the brunch menu and I had my first ever midday cream tea! It was AMAZING!! Honestly, the fluffiest, tastiest scones I've had in a long time! I just feel like they are missing a trick here. We ordered at about 11.55am, by the time we eaten every other customer had gone and the busy tea garden was now empty before 1pm on a lovely sunny summers day! Highly recommend a visit, I just wish they had a lunch menu!!

Good range of teas and soya milk available - we both had tea to start.Took our time ordering and checked that items were vegan as well, as my girlfriend has to limit her dairy intake. The soup was mushroom soup, vegan. We both had that, it was very tasty. The tuna sandwich on gluten free bread was tasty. I ordered the burger of the day, which was beef, served with pickles, beetroot, coleslaw and chips. We shared the chips between us.I did order the bacon and that came out afterwards along with the cheese but I didn't mind at all.We shared a big bottle of the freshly squeezed New Forest apple juice. We had ordered olives with hummus, gluten free bread and olive oil/ balsamic vinegar dip. That came out after the main course and we took that home.We also took home some cake - Victoria sponge, carrot cake and gluten free chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle cakes. It was very busy and took a couple of hours but well worth it. We then stated that they were all reserved and were then shown to a large table. The staff member then returned to the counter and was heard to mention to another member of staff he’s just had to sort out a group of <word removed to comply with tripadvisor! We then decided that we didn’t need to be abused like that and left to find an alternative lunch stop.Rudeness like that is totally unnecessary.

No one was behind the counter, although there was someone lolling over the food counter in the kitchen. Eventually a surly, unsmiling male appeared. I asked if they allowed dogs, and, without ever making eye contact with me simply said “not inside, but there’s a garden at the back if you want” and gesticulated with his thumb somewhere behind him. That was the whole of his conversation, no offer to show me where, or shown a menu, nothing. I simply turned on my heel and left. The service here is simply awful; rude, unhelpful and off-putting. The Cider Pantry was familiar to us as we walked by last time we were here. So very glad we decided to stay this time as the whole experience was delightful. The Kingston Black annex was perfect for secluded privacy at the side of the property, just like our own little flat. Burley village just 1min walk and direct access to forest walks. Huge old spot pigs across the road and the usual beautiful ponies wandering by past the window make for a fabulous New Forest experience for new and old visitors. The beautifully presented breakfast room was a delight and the cooked English was delicious with huge doorstep toast. Will definitely use the Cider Pantry again and would recommend to anyone wanting a great stay on the Forest....ten out of ten

Every year we go to the New Forest to go and remind ourselves what a beauty the place is and why people enjoy it so much. Every year, we visit the Cider Pantry to buy cider and visit the tea room. It was 45 minutes before the closing time and we asked a tea room lady how much time we had left to order (we were standing by the cider shop entrance). She said we had 15 minutes before orders stop and by the time we walked round to the front and went in, she bluntly said “Oh actually we’re shut. They’ve put everything away now”. No mention of an apology, nothing. We were angered by this that we simply turned around and walked out.

We were absolutely delighted we chose this tea room as it is simply the best one we have ever been to. We have tried a few cream teas in and around Burley but this is our absolute No1. All the food is freshly made, tasty and looks amazing. We had the cream tea, which was incredible. Freshly baked warm scones, lovely jam and beautiful clotted cream. The tea is proper loose leaf tea and the portions are generous. Service is second to none. The friendly staff, Susan, Hollie and Lorraine work hard to make sure everyone feels very welcome. Having recently being diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant I did not think I would be able to find anywhere that catered for my, annoying, dietary concerns however when I called to make an enquiry they were happy to offer to make me some Gluten Free scones, I was amazed as you can't even buy these in most large supermarkets. The scones themselves were fabulous, so much so we went back the next day for more and we don't have a sweet tooth. If you have special dietary requirements call the day before and they will do their best to accommodate you. Lorraine bakes all the goods and is an incredible baker. We also bought a piece of Lemon Drizzle cake to take away and again this was excellent. There is ample parking, a rare thing in Burley, and plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Thank you to all the staff who made our short holiday break even more special by exceeding all our hopes and expectations, we cannot wait to revisit.

We only popped in for an afternoon drink on hot day but found the garden to be lovely and the staff very smiley and friendly and very quick too. Tried the homemade apple juice and their bottled cider - very nice indeed!

Stayed here in a family room for 1 night. 1 double bed and 2 singles. Huge room with large bathroom. Lots of parking and nice owners. Breakfast was very nice, I had the veggie and there was lots of it. Lovely little shop. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been to Burley many times over the years but have never found this place until we cycled past it on a recent visit. A wonderful combination of cream teas and locally produced Cider. Our cream tea was probably the best we have had, lovely warm scones and lashings of thick clotted cream, yum.

Went with my partner, sister and her 2 and a half year old and the atmosphere was great and so were the staff. Would recommend the cheese scones, even took some to take away!

Just wanted to take this opportunity to praise offbeet for never failing to deliver excellence. The restaurant was sadly closed by the government during the first wave of the pandemic and the team have bounced back during such a difficult time and adapted to meet with the ever changing government guidelines. They have created the new Offbeet deli open on weekends and I have to say, visiting on a Saturday for a doughnut and coffee is truly the highlight of my week. The team are always so welcoming and friendly and go out their way to assist and answer any questions that I might have. I would recommend to anyone! :)

No starters. Enjoyed the Cornish hake with spinach, mashed potatoes and asparagus and Mrs enjoyed the fish cakes. Smaller portions than expected but this meant we both had plenty of room for dessert and can report that the spiced rum and chilli soaked pineapple with mango pieces and coconut yoghurt was gorgeous. Draught Doom bar was disappointingly gassy, like lager, but overall experience was enjoyable. Beautiful views of coast, sea and IOW and gents toilet interestingly housed various signed football shirts. Dog friendly with separate section for well-behaved dogs. Rules for dogs are on the entrance hall wall!

This review is based on my experience on the day and could be different for you, but I doubt it. Superb service from this F&C take away and excellent food to boot to. Called ahead and asked if they cooked Gluten Free on a Saturday - was advised it was cooked Tuesday to Saturday- as one member of our party had an eating disorder. Complied our order and called back a 2nd time and placed the order and was told it would be made immediately. Drove there and collected it after paying. Superb service. FYI- they do not deliver so collection is the only option. F&C was excellent and tasty all found, no complaints and empty plates as was the add on food expected within a fish and chip shop that we purchased. Have to say the Saveloys were superb and very tasty. So to summarise, superb helpful staff, fantastic food, good for people with food allergies, all sorted very quickly Try it you will be back Trudy me on this.

I can honestly say this was one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in and eaten in so many. The restaurant has a lovely, relaxed but special vibe. The staff are exceptional. The food was out of this world!!! Incredible ingredients, flavours and beautifully presented. We chose a red, an expensive red, but instead of taking our order, we were told it’s tanning and mix might not go with our dish. We were instead recommended a different wine that was so yummy we ordered a second. Super impressed. This is a destination restaurant and we’ll be back again and again

As usual we had a very enjoyable lunch here today. Despite having two vegetarians and one gluten free out of the five of us, nothing was too much trouble. We all had different very tasty roasts. Followed by some good desserts, the toffee roulade was great. The Ship’s Sunday roast is definitely the best around here.
