Fabulous and friendly hotel a real home from home feel. Clean comfortable rooms and great staff! We will come again location is beautiful

My husband and I came here for a weekend and will definitely return. My husband became unwell on the morning we were due to check out and rather than feeling the pressure to vacate the team encouraged us to take our time and went over and above to ensure that both myself and my husband were well looked after and supported. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and close to the Forest and the roaming ponies. The food is to an exceptionally high standard and good value for money for such good quality. There wasn’t anything I didn’t love!

This is a lovely hotel, staff and service is first class along with gorgeous food and excellent accomodation, and across the road are great walks in forest with many ponies wandering about. This is our second visit and certainly wont be our last.

Extremely lovely location in the heart of the forest, we did not stay however, we did enjoy an excellent Sunday roast and will certainly be returning, friendly and helpful staff made our visit a very pleasant experience.

We had a wonderful weekend away from London in this lovely hotel. An old pub with a lot of character. It was really quiet and peaceful… exactly what we needed. Very well located, with views to the forest every morning and a number of great walks. The staff in the hotel is very nice. Breakfast are great with a continental cafe and some warm dishes that you can order. Some rooms are a bit small but overall it’s a great place to stay if going to New Forest.

It's an old building with plenty of character and history, within walkable distance of the local amenities. Had a couple of meals there, the food overall was very good. They also catered for us arriving late on our first day, ensuring we could still have dinner, which was nice of them. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely time. We definitely enjoyed our visit and would visit again.

Had an overnight stay great location lovely walks . Had a meal in the restaurant, which was not great. roast potatoes were undercooked as were the parsnips had 3 meats, which were very small portions, and a one was a small chicken leg. Also, parts of the breakfast were cold

Absolutely lovely....very dog friendly staff are great, good service.....could not fault but it is a touch on the expensive side

Had mother's day lunch. It was very good. Excellent quality. Excellent service.

Lovely friendly staff, always pleasant and happy to help. Food was really good, rooms were lovely comfortable and well presented. We spent a few days here for a mini break and were so pleased we found it. Right next to entrance of woods for runners, walkers and dog walkers. Would recommend to anyone having a break.
