The best restaurants in Harrietsham and Lenham Maidstone South East

Went on a Saturday evening after being shown to our table we waited an hour for our order to be taken then it was only because we stopped a waitress ! Our food came out about 45 minutes later, after we had eaten it no one came to remove our plates etc or ask If we wanted the dessert menu, over an hour went by and we managed to stop a waiter to ask for the dessert menu and if they would clear the table from our main course please , he came back with the dessert menus over 30 mins later again had to ask for them ! We waited another 30 minutes before they came back to take our dessert order , then once again we had a long wait for these to be brought to us . We then had to ask for our bill a few times before it was brought to us and then had to ask to pay it as over 20 mins later no one had come back with the card machine for us to pay the bill and they had the audacity to charge us nearly £30 Service charge !! Which we asked to be removed as we all felt that the service had been disgusting so we wasn’t prepared to pay extra added to our bill for something we certainly had not experienced. Unfortunately we would not recommend this restaurant due to our dreadful experience

Well cooked beautifully presented and a taste to die for one of the very best fish and chips I've ever had.

It calls itself a gastro pub but hasn't really concentrated on it's restaurant potential. However, it has now teamed up with a Chinese restaurant and offers food 6 days a week. The restaurant closed on Wednesday. Looking forward to trying it out. Good luck to them 👍.

The cafe is super cute and a lovely space to be in, very cosy for the wintery day that was out. Food was nice but nothing particularly special and in my opinion a little overpriced for what it is. Large menu and lots of variety. The cakes looks brilliant so I'd love to go back and try them!

We have never been here before and decided to meet our family for lunch to try it out. We all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the food was enjoyable and the waitress really pleasant. So we would definitely return and recommend it.

Local curry house, always a great experience. We come here all the time and the food always stands out. Great staff and service too!

The service offered by the team at Chilston Park Restaurant - Culpeper's, today was second to none. From start to finish - fantastic service! Compliments to the chef on a great menu with something to offer for all tastes and requirements. The cheese platter in particular, was excellent.

1740 Walked in to dismissive staff - nope kitchen shut despite advertising they serve food later on the website. Never been made to feel less welcome and it’s not like they could have done without the custom as only a few people in. Won’t be going back in. I work in hospitality and that’s not how you treat paying customers.

Worst Chinese I have ever been to

Stayed here in one of the bed-and-breakfast rooms… whilst the staff were fabulous, polite and helpful. My room was directly next to the courtyard of the beer garden, and it was soooooo noisy . Yes, I understand it’s a public house but if they are going to offer accommodation, it should be well away from drinking areas. My window was literally 5 m away from the tables outside and everyone was screaming and shouting. Do not stay here if you want a peaceful night sleep.

Great place for dining, the staff is very friendly and the food is well prepared and served. If you ever get the chance to pass by , ask for Donny's special!!!

The best chips, really. What a great find. Seriously good batter on the fish and I had a very nice chicken and mushroom pie. Yes, not a home pie made, but one of the best I have had. Simple table and chairs, and free parking outside. Nice cheap eats that would rival a few restaurants.

Absolutely the, BEST kebab shop on the high street, Their homemade chilli sauce is incredible And the shish… amazing!!

Chilston Manor hotel is a lovely hotel with friendly staff but I and my husband were very disappointed with what they call a luxury afternoon tea…we had three little finger sandwich's with hardly any filling in them….dry scones…what was nice was the sausage roll,we had to ask for the tea as it didn’t arrive,when it did it was stewed & strong…will be returning NO !!!!
