Percival's Rest in Maidstone

We had a delicious main course and dessert at our visit. The beer was lovely and the staff very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again.

Outstanding service, delicious food , good beer , friendly staff . It was that good we used it twice.

We regularly host Karaoke nights at Percival's Rest and the staff are all fantastic at what they do. Unfortunately, we have never eaten there despite the wonderful smells that come from the kitchen.

Faultless! The Sunday roast was superb and the service was excellent. Beef burger was top quality.

Family went to the restaurant for some lunch. Starters, main and dessert were all very good. Nice size portions and very tasty. Good service & friendly staff. Would definitely return. The chicken tenders & gravy and truffle fries were fantastic. The chicken burger was also very very good.

My partner and I stumbled across Percival's rest on the hunt for a very late lunch. We were welcomed to the restaurant and offered a very extensive menu. My partner had fish and chips and I had a paella, both were excellent. My partner had a tart au citron which he rated extremely highly. Both members of staff that we met were extremely friendly and helpful without being over bearing. All in all we wish we lived down the road! We will return next time we are in the area

2nd secret supper night we’ve been too, food is brilliant and a great deal with the wine included. Would thoroughly recommend

Great bar, and what a great live music

Went for the first time this Saturday at 3pm. Unfortunately the restaurant was completely empty, which is a shame as food was great. Hopefully it gets the customers it deserves in the evening. Pretty wide menu to choose from with classy spins on your pub classics without being pretentious and prices are fair. Really good service as well. Will definitely come back

We arrived at 7pm, so not many people there, hence the atmosphere only getting three stars in my review. I'm sure if we had turned up an hour or two later, I'd award higher (karaoke was about to start as we left). Service was impeccable & the food was great. We went for the flat iron steak with Portobello mushroom, tomato & triple cooked chips. The best cooked mushroom I've ever had eating out - not slimey & so was the tomato - not watery. Steak was medium rare as it should be for a flat iron. Unfortunately no photos were taken as we just dived right in lol

Very pleasant young waitress who actually took the time to speak to us, also brought water and ice filled glasses to the table without asked. Good old world service. Plus good well cooked food.

Had a family meal here for Mother's Day and we had a fantastic time. Food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. Would highly recommend this venue. Can't wait for my next visit

A great place to eat or just grab a drink

Absolutely massive place for its location basically in the middle of nowhere . Two young girls serving were more interested in their phones that customers but that seems to be the way these days .

Great place, on site parking and dog friendly. Will return for Sunday lunch.

Great food with loads of options and excellent service. We stopped here before our visit to the Leeds Castle. It’s just 6 minutes away for the Castle. They are so much in demand that they ran out of a few dishes.

Based in Harrietsham. The pub is huge! We’ve been twice now with work colleagues. It’s been dead on couple of occasions. Not sure why. The food is outstanding!! 10/10! Best one yet compare to other nearby pub restaurants . Don’t let the atmosphere put you off. Once word of mouth gets out and perhaps get it advertised more, people will realise how good the food is. We only came across this place during winter. We would not hesitate to recommend the place to friends and family.

Had a ladies Christmas get together. Everything was great. Food amazing (thankfully they have changed their chef) staff were great with their service. Overall a really enjoyable evening. Thank you Percy’s 😊

Fantastic food served by the friendliest staff

We popped here before going to see the Xmas illuminations at Leeds Castle. They did manage to accommodate 10 of us for a late lunch and the food was very good but we found the service was really slow (despite there not being many people there). It's a large space but sparsely decorated with a modern theme. Think it could benefit from some more furniture and soft furnishings to make it feel more cosy and welcoming.

Well Perci’s pulled it out of the bag for our friends birthday celebrations. This is our local pub, and have definitely been on a journey to get to where they are. With a new head chef in the house, the food has seen remarkable improvement. Georgio and his team always deliver service with a smile

Another superb Sunday Roast. The food is very good and good vfm. We met for a friend's birthday and the kind waitress picked up on this and brought out a lovely brownie with a candle, super thoughtful, a good touch to a lovely dinner, thank you. Been a few times and is defo my go to restaurant.

Nicely done out pub/dining. We had the mixed platter, and our friends had the Sunday roast - one beef, the other pork belly. We were all completely satisfied with our choices. And NOT at a silly price either. Well worth a visit 👍.

Visited following a quick Google of places to eat and glad we did. The service was friendly and helpful, recommending the amount of dishes to order for sharing. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Particular recommendations would be the pork belly and the chicken wings on the small plates. The decor is modern and classy and we didn't see any dirt or mess. Prices were reasonable and I really can't say anything to fault it. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great meal

Great Sunday roast at the Percy. Restaurant was quiet but the service and food were both spot on 👌🏼

First time dining here. It was a celebration with a booking for 13 people from 5-65. Service was 5*, menu choice was fabulous, food was delicious. The bar is well stocked with local wines, beers and spirits. The team are super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I cannot recommend Percival’s Rest highly enough. It’s a must visit place, close to the motorway yet in a village.

This had popped up on my adverts quite a few times. Was really good to get the chance to go there randomly. Lovely location. Good atmosphere. Great service. The food looked lovely. Will definitely repeat experience.

We were a party of 7 to celebrate a 96th birthday and were seated in a side area so it was more private, there were only 2 other people in the restaurant which is why 1 star deducted for atmosphere but I suppose it was a Wednesday lunch time. The service was excellent and very friendly, a special chocolate birthday plate was made as part of the dessert which was a lovely touch. The food was well presented but 1 star deducted as it would have been better if the gravy that went with the excellent steak and stilton pie was served separately in a jug as one person forgot to say no gravy on his meal as he never has it and the other 2 would have preferred to pour their own where they wanted it. But we all had a really good time. It is our go to restaurant for family occasions

Lovely atmosphere. Lots of drink options. My only negative is that it is a bit overpriced - only one choice in prosecco which cost £25 for a bottle.

Lovely food although the portion of pork on the pork Sunday roast felt a little small. A couple of times felt slightly forgotten after we waited a while for bread and olives then they arrived almost right before our meals and we had to find someone to ask again for water for the table.

Visited this eve as new residents to the village . We both had the roast sirloin of beef All the trimmings , including a delicious cauliflower cheese . An amazing meal , absolutely couldn’t fault it from start to finish , Can’t wait to return

We recently had my mums Wake at Percival’s Rest and although it was a very difficult time and occasion the staff were amazing and took care of all of our requests. They were polite, efficient and friendly. Nobody had to wait to be served at the bar and the food was incredible. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue for any gathering and Georgio and his team were amazing. Thank you!

Decent. Looks like every village gastropub but pleasant service and friendly barman. The most expensive neck oil I have had recently. £6.

Turned up after a walk on a Sunday but felt like we were an inconvenience. Lots of tables had left over dinners on them which means the staff don't have time to clear the tables and suggested any food order would take too long so probably understaffed. Not that welcoming
