Lovely little cafe (pretty much the only one in the village), in a gorgeous historic building. You can sit inside and outside (with dogs allowed only outside). Apple pie was gorgeous!

Absolutely discussed with how the owner/manager spoke and treated my wife, son and our baby. We have Been to the cafe a few times, couldn't have faulted the coffee or food, until, my wife went to the bakers opposite, and grabbed a cake with my son, sat outside with the baby and sent my son to grab a coffee and coke from the cafe. Was met with a rude man saying you cannot eat this here... understandably and stopped, and waited for her coffee and coke, My son being a little cheeky at 9 continued to try and sneak a few bites of his treat, and the owner came out and spoke to them like dirt! And asked them leave, my wife in tears walked off!! With the children. I thought lenham was a lovely community where we could enjoy all what it offered but we will not be going back there again!!

If i could rate this place lower, I would!! I had an horrific experience, starting with a gust of a foul stench of an employee’s breath in my face, while being pressured to order as soon as I sat down, while being visibly annoyed when i politely said i needed 5 minutes. Following this i was faced with a foul mannered, snarky women who i presumed was the boss, as she seemed to be ordering her employees around rudely! i can’t imagine working in a place like this would be pleasant or humane. Not to mention one of the male employees foul BO stretch, putting me of my putrid food, embellished with a few tossed crisps, displayed carelessly! Employees were being rushed of there Feet while it looked to be the bosses husband was outside smoking vape!! Overall, the poor service, unappetising food and foul mouth angry faced boss gave me an awful experience and I will not be returning!!!

Disappointed Supposed to be open till 4pm, arrived 3:25pm to be told rather bluntly that they've just closed so wouldn't serve us despite there being at least three tables of people still in there with drinks and food. Trying to support local businesses but some of them clearly don't want our support!

This cafe has always been my mum and dad's local. We lost my mum last year and since then, the staff have taken my dad under their wing - which I thank them for. I can 100% recommend their homemade soup, chilli jacket potatoes and egg mayo baguettes - yummy. This cafe is loved by locals too. Xx

Absolutely awful I can't believe it happened, my 5 year old boy was desperate for the toilet so popped in to use as was always able to and knows no different only to be met as he came out of the toilet by the man who works in the cafe with his arms on his hip towering in the door staring at him and told him he can't use the toilet! This man not only was scary to my 5 year old that it made him cry but he was also incredibly rude to me. As a local and who family use this cafe alot we will not be returning and I will be tell people how he treats children Absolutely mortified it made me feel sick and my son so upset and confused. There is a way to talk to children this place obviously isn't child friendly and the way he was just staring at my son as he came out of the toilet and didn't speak for a few seconds really creeped me out.

The last time we visited Lenham we had no cash so had to forego any refreshments as that was the only choice. On Monday 25 September we decided to try again and bingo - Credit Cards were now accepted so we visited the Corner House Café. However, was it us (tired and desperately in need of refreshments)? or did we expect too much or did we arrive at the wrong time (should there be a wrong time?) as it was not a good experience, we just did not feel very welcome or that our custom was valued. The food choice seemed good and the coffee arrived quickly but after waiting for almost an hour my wife’s Vegan wrap choice left a lot to be desired and my cheese toastie had far much gooey cheese with not enough tomato. For the first time (perhaps) I wasn’t able to finish my meal. My wife really wanted a tomato toastie but even though the sign said all food fresh & made to order she couldn’t have that. They were not really full meals so why did it take so very long? It was most unfortunate that the young lady spilt a jug of milk all over the table (and some over my shoe) but some better expression of regret would have been welcomed – crying over spilt milk comes to mind. It will be a long time before we are back in Lenham again.

We go in here quite often for a coffee & sandwich as we pass it on our walk.Today I ordered a cream tea- the tea was very weak and I asked for another T-Bag.Can’t believe they charged me £1 for an extra T-Bag.Their loss as I would usually give a tip but I won’t in the future

Poor value for money. Very sadly after coming here for a few years we won’t be returning. We decided to take a family member here for an afternoon tea. It was so expensive…for a pot of tea for x3 and only x3 plain scones and my partner had a salad the bill came to just under £40. Crazy prices for just a pot of tea and 3 scones, there wasn’t much jam or cream either. Sorry to give negative feedback but this is too expensive for what we received.

Handy little cafe by the square with outside seating, with some humourless and odd staff. They have Cheese and Chuntney sandwiches, they have Ham and Tomato sandwiches (all made by hand from what I can see), yet if you want a Cheese and Tomato sandwich it involves a board meeting which comes to the conclusion you can but it will cost an additional £1.00. Anyway, it was very nice, served with a small garnish and some chips.

Ordered a mocha however it was so sweet I was only able to have a few sips. The bagel however was soft and lots of creamy cheese which is really nice. I had the salmon bagel and it was nice. Edit review : went back for brunch had the mocha again but this time asked for half sugar and it was perfect . Again had the salmon bagel was still really nice .

I came in today for breakfast with my nephew and sister in law and was very disappointed that there was no option for breakfast so we got two sandwiches and a baguette 2 coffee and a fruit shoot. The baguette was very hard to bite felt like I was chewing wood of a stick so was unable to eat it you also get a little salad on the side the cucumber was very dry like it had been sat for a long period of time. Also a staff member what I can only presume was the owner was quit rude in the way he spoke and not very welcoming. Overall £44.80 was extortionate for 3 sandwiches 3drinks and 2 scones would defo not recommend and will not be visiting again. When paying I bought up the fact that the bread was hard to eat and he just ignored me.

Quaint cafe in the heart of Lenham village. This cafe is built in a 14th century listed building and as a result adds some real character to the café. Serves a range of food from bacon baps to cream teas. The cake in the picture was a devilish salted caramel sponge cake washed down with a coffee Vienna and latte. A favourite place for cyclists and locals but a warm welcome given to newcomers.

We stopped late afternoon with my son and we’re so impressed by the selection of our favourite cakes! We all chose different ……..coffee and walnut was so fresh and moist with beautiful buttercream filling , just what I wanted. The coffee came in excellent cups, mug shaped so it stayed hot, (not those awful wide cups that are hard to drink out of.) Never been there before but would def go back, maybe for a breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend this place. Well done ladies!

We arrived as the last rays of sunshine were available in Lenham the Cornerhouse Cafe looked inviting but we had to wait until a table became available,. The cakes looked fantastic but we wanted iced coffee and a local cider in the sun. Both were provided and even though they were about to close a second was offered while they cleared up around us yet without making us feel unwelcome. As we left I suggested to the owner we needed to open the wine and share Italian meat but that’s in another life. If you find yourselves near Lenham go to this lovely cafe I have a feeling it’s all things to all people 😎

We called in here while walking the Pilgrm's Way, hungry after a long and quite cold morning's walk. We had assumed we'd have a sandwich and a cup of tea, but noticed soup on the menu so went for that. There were two varieitied on offer, both vegetarian, which was a treat. My husband went for the leek and potato while I opted for the celeriac and apple. Both were very good, ideal for warming us up. I enjoyed my pot of tea, and my husband enjoyed a coffee. As he is a coffee geek, who is very picky about drinking coffee out, the fact he thought it was good is high praise indeed. If I lived locally I'd be popping in here regularly.

In one of Lenham's oldest buildings, this café is great for tea and cake, or lunch. They serve soup, stews, pies and liver and bacon, sandwiches etc. They don't do chips. You can sit outside - great for after a dog walk and popular with cyclists. Afterwards, make sure you have a look round the antique shop upstairs.

My experience at the Boat House was very disappointing. As a party of three we were there when the doors were opened. Shown to a table and given menus and asked to order at the bar. No problem so far, we ordered three meals. One was a starter for someone eating later and a sandwich and ham egg and chips. Seemed a little expensive but family meal in difficult situation. Our server arrived with two starters. We only ordered one but as a meal for one of us. Half an hour later our other meals arrived. One Sandwich and ham egg and chips. In the mean time the server had returned to the table and refunded money for the other starter that I had not ordered. The food was fine if not a little expensive. One of the small eggs I had was hard and for the price there was not a lot on the plate. I had approached the server about the delay and was told it was my fault. Strange, it wasn’t me that got the order wrong. When she took the spare plate of starter back, how long does it take for someone to cook to eggs and make a cheese sandwich, half an hour seemed a bit much. I did mention to her that there were three of us and we ordered three dishes, where was the problem, but it still seemed to be my fault. I would not recommend this.

My daughter is owed over £2k in wages since June he has already ripped off by son and then threatened him saying he was stealing if he spoke up no one gets a payslip he ducts tax and doesn’t register them on HMRC these are all young kids and students most work a month don’t get paid and leave without their wages and he puts the fear of god in them so they don’t speak up. He leaves the staff with no stock and to solve all problems them selves . He hides by blocking them so they can’t chase him for pay. He is abusing the innocence of young people he would never employ a proper adult ans he couldn’t get away with it. These poor kids keep begging for what they have worked for . He deducts pension and then doesn’t pay it as the letters arrive home monthly from nest saying he hast paid it again getting £100 per month fine he doesn’t care. He’s under investigation from HMRC for all dodgy dealings he doesn’t care he lives upstairs now onsite it’s not a designated home that’s illegal. He’s filling his own pockets with these young people with free labour he has been reported . I can back up anything I say with evidence I’ve 159 text messages a recorded call with him he promised to pay her today 30 Nov and now in hiding the fridges at front don’t work so all sandwiches sit there all day they get put in back fridge over night. The cafe in the corner was his too they would give him the rent and he wouldn’t pass it on to the own er he’d keep it so they got closed down costing a load of other people their jobs. People have rent and bills to pay he doesn’t care
