It has gone seriously downhill regarding the food, ideal tho for a cheap drink. Heres our experience with the food.... A group of us went there for a friends birthday. The staff, well, I think some of em just don't know what's going on!!! Regarding our food, some came n some didn't!! The ones that did arrive wernt cooked properly ( kids chicken nuggets pink, chips raw in the middle, scampi soggy inside, burger dry n not very nice) The Birthday girl had some new chicken bowl thing on the menu, off which she ate and unfortunately has been throwing up since early hrs!!!!!! We were given a full refund on the bad ones that we spotted but what about the poor people who ate the food and got food poisoning!!!!

A woman behind the bar dropped the eff bomb when I was handling a pint. Some heavy drinkers were smiling and trying not to look they were about to expire. Two years at the most I reckon. Nice pint though.

This place is brilliant for full English and other breakfasts. The food here is very good for the price, the staff are friendly as are the punters.

The better of the two Wetherspoons in Maidstone. It feels more like an airport lounge than a pub though. Food is not great but the prices and selection of different drinks is unbeatable.

This is the better of the 2 spoons in Maidstone. Service and the food can be a bit hit n miss when busy. We often come here as it's spacious, and the staff actually seem to care. The food I'd generally good , however on this visit they forgot the rice with our curry!

Charged twice for same meal Spoke to manager on the day who said nothing we can do Waited to see if it would ping back into account, and also contacted George via telephone call who basically said pay pal take the money. One of two Weatherspoons situated in Maidstone. This establishment is like an 80's pub, large and has a inner square sanctum that is unroofed and ldealy suited for people wanting to have a cigarette, unfortunately due to the location of all the high buildings around it it hardly ever gets the sunshine.

Food is average, some menu items taste a lot better than others. The atmosphere is great and service isn't too bad. The staff themselves are lovely but can sometimes take a while with your order (especially if you order food).

It's a Wetherspoon, the food isn't much more than frozen food from Iceland, but then they don't charge much more than the supermarket for the meal! Staff are friendly and having spent numerous hours inside, I have witnessed most tables being taken so they must be doing something right! Great value, just get what you pay for. Not knocking the place at all... Beats inflated coffee shops for remote working

We ordered ham, egg and chips which was ok except the egg yolk was not runny but hard so disappointing there, and another order was chilli con corna and that was straight out the microwave as the bowl was left under a hot plate as you could see a fim on the top of the food plus the rice was just dumped out of the packet warmed up in the microwave as it was all clumped together the rice so we sent it back and a new one came (well maybe warmed up in microwave again) but we declined this again and got our money back. Plus one of our party the next day had stomach problems after eating the steak meal with a hard crusty jacket potato 🥔 So very disappointed and won't be returning

Functional, clean and easier than the Wetherspoon Muggleton in town centre. Back again, for a £5 traditional breakfast and Monday £1.49 pint of perfect Ruddles. A place I like to visit once in a way.

Excellent atmosphere. The drinks are ridiculously cheap witch helps with the current cost of living. Friendly staff who now also offer a try before you buy on certain drinks. My pint of Apple Cider cost £1.99, happy days 😃

Staff were very nasty and asked us to leave. We were meeting up as we were former Royal Mail work mates. There were just three of us and we were told we had been speaking racism which we hadn't and if we had it was purely about the boats. Your so called managers asked us to leave and we did quietly and politely. Don't go in that pub people as the management are a disgrace

Waiting drink from last half and hour i asked the waiter but he said we have to wait because they are short staffed and I asked him i will take it my Self but he said you have to wait it's not very good to wait for a 1 drink for more then half and hours

One morning waiting for breakfast. The breakfast was lovely, but then head to go downstairs to use the toilet. The toilets were very not clean and also walking up the stairs. The skirting boards were quite a Very dirty. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it It's supposed to be clean first thing in the morning. I believe so I was very shocked. I know I use the toilets. And looked everywhere else. It was multiple things that I saw. That day it wasn't very busy. There is even food on the floor.🙂‍↕️😠

Really cool venue at the heart if Maidstone. A more upmarket Whetherspoons with large windows lamenting in plenty of natural light, plenty of modern seating and screens to check the menu, ingredients, and allergy contents. Gone the tired brown interior

Good value for money. Cheaper than the rest of the pubs in Maidstone along with the other 2 Weatherspoons pubs. Service can be a bit slow but that's probably due to how busy it usually is. Can get a bit overcrowded at times.

I called in here today. I went to order food at the bar for 16 covers after a funeral that took place a few dooes down, which would have been about £400 of revenue for the pub. I'm an ethnic minority and was overlooked several times by the barmaid who herself was ethnic and barthem which I let slide.. I watched a person of East Asian origin approach the bar and white people were served before him and he walked out. I then did too and not only was I disappointed by the discrimination faced here by an ethnic minority barmaid/non-binary barthem, I was disappointed I didn't leave sooner. We took our business elsewhere and will not call here again.

Nice airy place. Ordered food and drinks at 14:30. Drinks arrived 14:45. Food arrived 14:50. Plate was barely warm. Chips were warm and tasted as if they had been sitting on the side for sometime. Peas were warm. Scampi was fractionally hotter but it could all have been fresher/hotter. Disappointed with this particular spoons - used to much better service and hot food.

Too crowded and I never understood being allowed to bring children and babies to a bar the excess noise and healing from kids ruins ya day met up with a friend of the family and couldn't hear him from less the two feet from me, as for food tiny meals nice but small so youl feel like it's a bit skimped out on but none the less it was nice food staf was happy to help.

I have yet to order a breakfast and they get it right, all I orded was a bacon sandwich, with a side of Mushrooms, and an avocado muffin for my friend. This young guy brought over my bacon sandwich, no Mushrooms, when I asked him, he said I didn't order them, but I had, he was really rude, and the Mushrooms came with the muffin. He was always rude when he collected our plats.

We like Wetherspoons. You know exactly what you're getting.. A reasonable price for food and drink.

My experiences are restricted to morning and lunch during working week, so I can't speak to rush hours. But the food is fair for what you pay, the servers have always been kind and polite. During the times I'm there, there aren't many people; so I miss that 'hum' or 'buzz' that comes with crowds.

Decent clean spoons right near to the station. Fast service and great prices. A good atmosphere in the evening and only a short walk into town for the other bars and pubs if you're on a night out.

Food is cheap and cheerful you pay for what you get but to send chips with curry sauce out stone cold is unbelievable promptly they were sent back maybe the microwave wasn't up high enough

We orderd for three meals.sausage mash. pizza.tikka curry. When the tikka came the rice was cold but if the curry had been hot it would have been fine.it was luke warm. I returned it but by the time the replacement came the rest of the family had finished eating.got a refund but this was a birthday meal and the first time i had been out not wearing a mask since covid as i have immunodefieciency.just wanted a normal meal. Not happy.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Ordered the large mixed grill accompanied by an extra grill chicken breast to which the chicken was hard and definitely not grilled the gammon was burnt and over cooked the lamp was hard and I never got a pork loin to even comment on. I was told by one member of staff that being an expensive meal I cannot have a refund to which I spoke to the manager who offered me one. After being left for around half an hour waiting to hear back I finally got a receipt for my refund which not only did the hard chicken not get refunded but also the price of the mixed grill was also not refunded to the price I paid for it. Over all very unhappy and angry about this and will be taking this alot further. I will not return here for food if someone paid me.

Great place for family to sit in a quiet atmosphere and enjoy Sunday breakfast. It is very specious especially with tall ceilings and windows all around . There is a dedicated space for those who want to sit and enjoy themselves on their own or with friends and family. Food is delicious and you have options to choose from a variety of dishes (I'm talking about breakfast ) my kids love American style breakfast with pancakes 😁 Me and wife normally choose English breakfast keeps me filled up 😁 Prices are friendly and not going to make a hole in your pocket . My kids especially enjoy the refilled option for hot drinks chocolate to be specific. Breakfast for 4 of us cost around £26

Delicious food and excellent customer service

Went in to get a take away coffee. It took a while before I was served. It looked like only two people actually serving. The girl behind the bar finally asked ''Who's next?'' even though I had been standing right in front of her, she was looking at someone next to me. I told her I was. This seemed to niggle her so I got a brief and curt response but was only able to decipher ''...at the end of the bar for your latte.'' I stood at the end of the bar waiting for the drink. I watched the two girls behind the bar and neither of them was making a coffee. I saw a man standing nearby and asked him if he knew where to wait for hot drinks. I went back to the bar and by an amazing coincidence, the girl who was ill-mannered some minutes before was saying to a customer ''I thought he was first... (Not these exact words). I said ''No, I was.'' She glared at me and replied ''I'm not talking to you,'' attempting to say she was talking about another, similar occurrence. Mmmmm, quelle surprise. I returned to the end of the bar and the man I spoke to before pointed to a machine and explained it was a do-it-yourself. He told me he had asked for some milk for his tea and was still waiting. Eventually someone appeared with a take away cup and milk. While he waited for his milk and I made the drink, we spoke about the amount of young people these days being disrespectful and not having the ability to communicate effectively or given the customer service training to be able to do so.

This venue is on the ground floor level with a large outside seating area that is uncovered. The pub is spacious and light due to the numerous glass panels around the outside. It's not a typical Wetherspoons building and we found it soul less & bland. However it was extremely busy at 3pm on a Saturday so it obviously suits lots of people. Didn't eat here but the Stella was good. My wife didn't finish her Merlot as it had a funny taste. This Spoons would suit the younger generation and I prefer the Muggleton inn just down the road as it's more traditional & has character.

Nice Wetherspoons very close to Maidstone East station. Had Black Dragon cider on when visited.
