The best restaurants in Purbrook Havant South East

Went for a birthday bash and ordered two ‘yards’ of pizza. Eight different pizza toppings in total and all of them were fantastic. Tried the marmite and cheese garlic bread. What a combo. My daughter has a dairy intolerance and it was no trouble to make her favourite pizza with the vegan cheese. She loved it. First visit, won’t be the last

Although I am local, have driven past The Village Bakery for years, this was the first time I have visited this delightful establishment. I went with my brother, before going on to the Warners on Hayling. We both ordered the breakfast and were not disappointed. It was cooked to perfection and was enjoyed with enthusiasm. It was quite busy, with the majority of the customers being mostly in the building trade. This is always a good sign. Thank you Village Bakery, although it was my first visit, it certainly won’t be my last.

Fantastic evening, 5 ✨from us presentation superb, flavours tastebuds tantalising. Service very attentive but not intrusive. Everyone is learning their profession to the highest level here , supported by their lecturers and staff. Thank you everyone, perfect evening out.

Lucky enough to call this our local. Ordered many times and never disappointed. Have had family and friends over who ask us to bring a curry from here when we visit theirs.

Dreadful service. Clueless. And very expensive for a chip shop. I had to wait 45 minutes just for chips while they served everybody else with fish. Any other chip shop would serve you straight away with just chips while other people expect to wait a while for their fish to be fried fresh but not this place. You're on a list which the staff struggle with. If you just want chips there is a Chinese next door that will serve you chips in less than 10 minutes. Lot of people left the Chinese with fish and chips while I was sat waiting for my chips. We won't be back.

The ladies are always so polite, quick and they had a fun little sign and offer if you danced you could get a free portion of chips! Great value for money too. Highly recommend!

Food not edible. Lamb was tough and full of gristle. And chicken korma not nice at all

It says in there website: "You need to spend £12 or more to order for delivery". That's fine, tried to order on the website - no delivery option, we instead called up to be told that they don't do deliveries... Maybe change your website to prevent misleading - or just simply do deliveries in order to keep custome! We wanted delivery out of lasyness and a busy day flying from abroad, but there are many people that may not have mobility to enjoy the food here... Went to another Chinese that does deliveries instead!

My wife ordered, Onion Bhaghis Lamb tika masala, Chicken Dhansak, mushroom rice & cashmere rice take away from Crookhorn indian restaurant. Well i can honestly say that it was one of the most awful Indian meals i have ever eaten. Bhaghi was so puddeny Lamb tika masala was so tough it was inedible Dansak just bland. Both rice dishes where stodgy. Get a grip guys this was a recommended restaurant. Just plane awful meal

Waffle was nice but unfortunately stone cold.

Sorry but this place clearly couldn't handle a large group lunch. The pasta and burgers were served luke warm, poorly seasoned and dry. They wouldn't serve drinks to the table as they were short staffed it seemed. Even orders made at the bar were misplaced and resulted in a back and forth of what was charged for but not poured. The staff tried their best to be friendly but I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal I'm afraid.

When I think of a Chinese this is what I think of. Everything is spot on. My favourite is the chicken chow mein and sour balls! Staff are welcoming and very friendly, very good prices and is my favourite local treat. Will 100% be coming back

Love this pub! So friendly, so cheap and a lovely place to be, any night of the week.
