Simply outstanding. From the moment of our arrival to our departure, the team at Ten Tables were exemplary. The Filament Bar is a delight and the actual restaurant lovely - intimate and quiet - but, as one would hope, the food is the star of the show. Delicious, flavourful, beautifully presented and Chef absolutely deserves all the praises being heaped upon them. It’s not the most extensive menu but there is something for everyone - the venison was sublime. All this topped off by the most delightful, courteous and professional staff. I’d love not to submit this review to keep this hidden gem hidden but they deserve so much recognition and success and I would suggest that anyone who loves exceptional food should seek out Ten Tables. For sure, we will be back. Highly recommended.

Driven past this hotel a few times and saw the sign outside for Ten Tables so decided to treat my husband. Great bar area with pretty array of filament bulbs and the restaurant is really lovely with just 10 tables as you would expect. Nice music playing and a lovely garden although it was dark and cold the evening that we went. We should have gone a few weeks ago but our booking was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" which it turns out was that the chef left (which is a real shame as his reviews were fabulous) but we were assured the new chef was just as good if not better. I had the beef short rib croquette to start (delicious ) and my husband had the scallops - well .... The plate came out with only 2 scallops (think they could have put 3 on for the price of £13 !). Nicely presented in their shells on a bed of greenery which we assumed to be a crispy curly kale or similar (the lighting is quite subdued in the restaurant). My husband tasted the greenery and declared it a little soggy so I tried it too. It had a very bitter, nasty taste and it made both of our tongues go numb. When the waitress came to clear the plates we asked her what it was to which she replied "You didn't eat it did you ? It's Fake Reindeer Moss". Apparently not poisonous thankfully and on checking with the chef it's also thankfully non toxic. 24 hours later and my tongue still feels peculiar. IF YOU CAN'T EAT IT DON'T PUT IT ON THE PLATE !! . The venison main course was delicious and we will go back on a summers evening so we can enjoy the outside.

We called in for supper on our way to where we were staying for the night. The pub was small and quiet, but friendly. The one staff member on duty was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. We only had burgers but they were well cooked and fresh and the chips were amazing!

The first time in ages back to the White Hart from Africa! What a treat! Met James the barman who served the perfect Guinness and so was back there again with my brother before opening time today! Great friendly service again from James who even managed to twist our rubber arms for a couple of potatoes in their jackets. Now that is some salesman! Before I go back home I will be back! We had our wedding breakfast and reception at Worplesdon Place and everything was just perfect. The food is amazing & the staff were so accommodating. They made planning this event so easy & took so much of the wedding prep stress away from me. The rooms are beautiful & the snack is so delicious. I'm so grateful to the entire team. Please go visit Worplesdon, it's such a gem in the heart of Surrey. You won't be disappointed.

I read the review of the golf course below from 2017 but nonetheless looked forward to my visit. I have too say that whoever designed the golf course did a great job and the layout is impressive. There were also a few greenkeepers out on the course keeping the bunkers raked etc. Overall though the condition of the course was disappointing with a capital D. The tees and fairways were scruffy and the first cut of rough poorly kept. The greens however were decent with few pitch marks thereon. The trouble with Merrist Wood is that it lies in the heart of rich golf territory but has clearly made a conscious effort not to compete with the better courses nearby and alas it shows. In the clubhouse the lights didn't work in the toilets and still didn't work four and a half hours later with calls into question the quality of the facilities management. Food and drink was competitively priced and of acceptable quality. Having played over 300 courses in the UK the big question is would I return? Despite the great layout the answer is very unlikely. Very nearly rated poor.
