Absolutely superb; head chef Charles introduced himself before dinner so you can ask any questions before you order. The food taste and quality was excellent with a very good wine menu. All the staff were welcoming and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. An excellent intimate dinning experience and highly recommended.

What a great place! Lovely lounge for a pre drink, and then….finally… a well spaced out dining room where you cant hear your neighbours because theyre far away! Love the space between the tables and the views out to the koi pond - i bet its gorgeous in summer when it gets darker later. Bit of a limited drinks menu (no cocktails and limited fizz), but it was more than compensated by how delicious the food was. A particular stand out was the mosaic cod with the 24 hr potatoe and the cherry and creme fraiche sponge. Theyre also a bit different - for eg we ordered a side of hispi cabbage, which came with some lemon curd. At first i flinched at the thought of it, but it was genius! Their staff are super super friendly once you crack the ice a bit. Service is intentionally spaced out so you dont rush blind through the food - though we thought it was a touch TOO slow and could have done with maybe 5-10mins less waiting between courses. But cant fault them for that! If you ask them to speed up the dessert, they do. Reasonable prices given the very high quality. We’re going back soon - glad theyre local!

Ten Tables Restaurant we came across online and decided to try last Saturday. The welcome and service were quite good. We ordered venison loin along with truffle & parmesan. Unfortunately, my friend got food poisoning from the meal. He was unwell and couldn’t leave the house for the next three days, except to go to the hospital. (He is better now) We informed the restaurant about the issue, and they said they would call us, but we haven’t heard back. Ignoring such a critical matter seems strange.

Driven past this hotel a few times and saw the sign outside for Ten Tables so decided to treat my husband. Great bar area with pretty array of filament bulbs and the restaurant is really lovely with just 10 tables as you would expect. Nice music playing and a lovely garden although it was dark and cold the evening that we went. We should have gone a few weeks ago but our booking was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances" which it turns out was that the chef left (which is a real shame as his reviews were fabulous) but we were assured the new chef was just as good if not better. I had the beef short rib croquette to start (delicious ) and my husband had the scallops - well .... The plate came out with only 2 scallops (think they could have put 3 on for the price of £13 !). Nicely presented in their shells on a bed of greenery which we assumed to be a crispy curly kale or similar (the lighting is quite subdued in the restaurant). My husband tasted the greenery and declared it a little soggy so I tried it too. It had a very bitter, nasty taste and it made both of our tongues go numb. When the waitress came to clear the plates we asked her what it was to which she replied "You didn't eat it did you ? It's Fake Reindeer Moss". Apparently not poisonous thankfully and on checking with the chef it's also thankfully non toxic. 24 hours later and my tongue still feels peculiar. IF YOU CAN'T EAT IT DON'T PUT IT ON THE PLATE !! . The venison main course was delicious and we will go back on a summers evening so we can enjoy the outside.

The restaurant is a gem. You wouldn’t expect from the outside a fantastic dinning area with a lovely koi pond and stunning well looked after garden. The food is perfect balancing both modern and classical styles. It is also the perfect meal with all of the courses being well balanced and unique which leave you wanting more. Very hospitable and kind service. Combined with a well put together menu and dishes well executed.

The best restaurants in Guildford in my honest opinion! A hidden gem. Eaten multiple times here,& always fantastic food/service & even with staffing issues the latest time, still managed to accommodate us for a friends birthday. Can’t wait to go back 🎉

A lovely chef who likes to get to know his customers and enjoys a chat and conversation regarding food. Great presentation, very tasty well cooked dishes. Menu flexibility available. Very customer focused staff and the provision of an honest bar. I think this dining experience is excellent value and fully recommend it.

Went there on a date night last night and we both had a lovely time. The restaurant has an intimate, chilled feel and some very welcoming staff. The food was modern European with a range of seasonal options. The wood pigeon in particular had a lovely texture, while I'm still thinking of how rich and sumptuous the jus was on the lamb saddle. We had the toffee apple cheesecake for dessert, which was playful and creatively presented. It's definitely worth a visit and we'll be looking to go again in a few months.

Absolutely outstanding!!!! What a treat to have such a talented chef in Guildford (Worpleston). Food was incredible, favours seasoning, presentation. Service was great, albeit a little difficult for the waitress from the other diners. Something to consider when you eat at a small restaurant is that it’s a small team. Delays are okay- have a glass of wine, look at the koi in the pond. Relax! The quail blew me away, as did every other course but this was my favourite. I cannot wait to return- pricing is incredible reasonable to!

A fantastic news restaurant with great service and lovely food! We had starter, main and dessert and it was all delicious. The service was really good and the atmosphere is lovely as the restaurant is small and overlooking a nice garden. If you’re in the area would definitely recommend!

Ten Tables had only been open a couple of weeks when we visited in April and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Everything was absolutely exquisite! The four of us had a lovely meal, enjoying three courses with complementary amuse-bouche and a botttle of wine. It's not a large restaurant, maximum 20 covers (ten tables of two) and, being recently opened, it was only half full. I suggest you go before they get booked up!

I've tried this place twice. First time, absolutely loved it, no complaints. Second time and most recently, the taste was not great at all. My bowl tasted entirely of acetone/ nail polish. I wasn't able to tell what ingredient it was but it was so overpowering that I had to throw the whole bowl away.

We went to Blue Sardinia in Guildford for Valentine’s Day but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant had a set menu priced at £65 per person but the options were quite limited. Since it was Valentine’s and everywhere else was fully booked, we decided to give it a try. The portions were very small to the point that we had to order extra starters just to feel satisfied. Thankfully, they allowed it. Even so, the food was underwhelming, lacking the quality and flavour we expected for the price. The service was also slow and despite asking twice for something, it never arrived. We were not the only ones feeling this way. We could hear other couples complaining about the portion sizes and the menu choices. One couple asked if they could order something other than what was on the set menu and when they were told no, they decided to leave. As they walked out, we overheard them saying they would just order a takeaway at home, knowing they would not find a last-minute table elsewhere. The staff were polite and the atmosphere was pleasant but overall it did not feel like good value for money at all. I had specifically chosen this restaurant for an Italian dining experience but the only pasta dish available was mushroom lasagna and there was no pizza on the menu. The mushroom lasagna was truly disappointing! Honestly, even a Tesco Ready Meal would have been more enjoyable. It did not feel like a true Italian experience at all. In comparison, Positano (another Italian restaurant in Guildford) is miles ahead in terms of food, service, and authenticity. As for dessert, every option on the set menu included fruit, which was disappointing as I do not eat fruity deserts. I am not sure what the menu is like on a regular night, but overall, I was not impressed. For the price we expected much better. Unfortunately, it was not worth it and based on this experience, I would not recommend it.

Meat the Greek is absolutely phenomenal—the best Greek food we’ve ever had, even better than what we’ve experienced in Greece itself! The pork gyros portion is our absolute favorite and keeps us coming back time and time again. We regularly travel miles just to dine here, and it’s always worth the journey. The authentic flavors, generous portions, and high-quality food make it stand out above the rest. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. If you’re a fan of Greek cuisine, Meat the Greek is a must-visit!
