What a waste it would have been if this pub had closed! With Helen at the helm, this pub is on a “winner” to start with! Helen is exceptionally good at her role with a very pleasant & kind manner. Making everyone feel welcome! All staff at the bar were jovial & seemed to be enjoying what they were doing in their role. Lee & staff in the kitchen are serving up some very enjoyable food & our lunch on Sunday was just lovely with nice roast potatoes & plenty of meat. We will be back. Wishing you all the very best & good luck in your new venture everyone. Have a good Christmas one & all. Xx

Really friendly welcome. Kitchen and cafe area were very clean. The garden extremely tidy, must be great for a spot to sit outside on the way to your summer holiday destination. Food was excellent. Very fresh, not greasy at all. The toilets for the most part were clean except no toilet seats in either of the gent’s cubicles. If you use sat nav with postcode to find, be careful not to drive past as it will take you 100m past the cafe.

Lovely sunday lunch at the Stag on the River. We had the vegan roast and also the pork roast which were both very nice, albeit a little overpriced for what you get. Parking is also limited so get there early or park round the corner over the Eashing bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful and we requested extra spuds and yorkies which we were provided complimentary with the meal. Would definitely come back for dinner another day. Thank you.

Last went here for a balloon ride in the car park. Evidentially went bust and bought by steakhouse. It shows. Nothing spent on drab decor and harvester like signs all over 'christmas lunch 95gbp' etc. soup fine. Staff friendly but untrained (12.5% service) clearly never been to branch of the Ivy to learn. Pensioners steak and ale pie with mash good value at 8 plus service was like pukka pie. Generic glutinous pub gravy on a square of mashed potato. To differentiate it for the old codgers from main menu. Not a single pea, Carrot or bit of cabbage or other veggie. Bizarre. Waitress said she'd feedback but heard no more. Finally they have a tropical fish tank but the green algae was coating the glass. If you have one must be spotless. Quite a lot of punters but needs 100s of thousands to update and not clear who their market is. There current offering is a dud in our view.

Caper & Berry provided amazing food and service at our recent wedding at High Billinghurst Farm in Surrey. We were provided with a huge range of options, with plenty of customisation opportunities. The tasting was wonderful, the food on the day equally as good. The service on the day and coordination with the venue was also fantastic. We felt really looked after on the day, with lots of personal touches and attention, going above and beyond. Massive thanks to Rachel and Alistair.

Fab Sunday Lunch roast! Various options of meat and plentiful supply of the extras to go with it. Couldn't have been more accommodating to food allergy requirements. Great value for money. Lovely welcoming atmosphere - very different to the experience last year, now with new management in place. Very busy and definitely worth booking.
