We have been staying in selsey for a few days and decided to have dinner at Waves. We couldn’t fault the service, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Our food was hot , on hot plates and very tasty. I would highly recommend this cafe for a great value meal. And my friend also said the chef was hot!!

Bit of bizarre experience. Attended at 8:30pm on holiday weekend to check if there was a table available. Female waitress asked if we booked and as we hadn't she stated they had no room and a full sitting was due despite the fact there was dozens of tables free. This was strange as they had entertainment and I couldn't believe 70 people were about to attend. We got a take away elsewhere and looked back later in to find none of the tables had been taken as the waitress had stated. It was abundantly clear she lied about the next 9pm sitting. She looked shocked when we popped our head in again as we all knew it was not true. It's their restaurant and up to them when to accept customers but I feel this was not a manager just a lazy waitress getting rid of customers so she can have an earlier home time. Next day we attended at midday and pretty empty and got a table and had lovely cocktails and food. Would highly recommend this restaurant (as long as you are not greeted by the lazy and inexperienced hostess who doesn't care about customers or if the owners make money) The following day we tried to get a delivery stated on website they provide but not only do they not deliver they turned down us collecting food as well. Great place and great food but if I was the owner I would be horrified a couple of staff turn down trade so easily.

Owner Rude, AVOID. Sat and ordered coffee. Asked twice if they could turn down the music. Older lady moved the speaker however did not turn it down. I then asked the Younger girl if she could kindly turn it down as we having to shout to have a conversation. The older lady then moved the speaker and turned it back up. Older lady who i believe was the owner or manager had no people skills, was rude and obstinate. Had she been more welcoming, paying more attention to her customers then she would have seen a couple move to the other side of the coffee shop due to the noise or another couple complaining. Your food and drink can be superb, not that it was but if you have a rude person in charge who glares at you because you have kindly asked to turn down loud music, your business will never succeed. To avoid at all cost especially when the owner is doing a deep clean in her flip-flops.

Just had the worst Roast dinner ever, All microwaved and the chicken was like I've never had before ! a tasteless reconstituted excuse for chicken and my wife had the vegetarian at the same price and just as awfull . £29.40 for the two meals and a tea and coffee. We will never go there again and ABSOLUTE RIPOFF !!

Chicken was out of date! We had a takeaway on Friday 15th Nov 24 and one of the pieces of tandoori chicken (two leg pieces) was really not good and was smelling old and off. Surprisingly the other piece was okay and the rest of the meal was all okay, just lacking salt in all of the dishes, leaving them tasting quite bland! Overall the restaurant is your standard Indian, nothing special and certainly not cooked with any love or passion for Indian food as the website claims. We didn't call the restaurant to complain as it was near Midnight when we got our order home and we don't live in the area so will not be returning. We write this review to let the restaurant owners know, the chefs need to pay attention to the stock rotation and ensure old chicken is not served again!
