Just had the worst Roast dinner ever, All microwaved and the chicken was like I've never had before ! a tasteless reconstituted excuse for chicken and my wife had the vegetarian at the same price and just as awfull . £29.40 for the two meals and a tea and coffee. We will never go there again and ABSOLUTE RIPOFF !!

This cafe is absolutely amazing. We found it to be lovely decor, immaculately clean and all things out in place regarding safety in these covid times. We had a large breakfast and weren't disappointed. I particularly like the beans and tomatoes were served in little pots. Everything cooked to perfection. Quality of products second to none. I cannot praise the staff enough they're a rare breed these days, polite, friendly and above all else helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We will give our local cafe a miss and drive here instead. No comparison. Thankyou cafe GB see you next week.

Whilst the vege breakfast here is very good it was strange to have the tomatoes and baked beans served in small dishes . The vege sausages were cheap and nasty . Vegetable sausages rather than Vege sausages. All cooked very well and hot chocolate was amazing . The Turkish breakfast looked great apart from the Turkish Sausage !! Worth a visit as service was excellent and very attentive too. Was busyish and food was slightly slow to arrive if ypu are in a hurry !

This restaurant is definitely our favourite for breakfast and access. I am in a wheelchair mostly or scooter and both fit in without problems. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is very nice. I like it best for breakfast. My family and friends prefer it for Pie and Mash and say it’s as close to an east end one that you’ll get without going to the east end. Combine that with the fact that it is in the beautiful seaside resort of Selsey and you are onto a winner. See you again soon.

Called in this cafe for lunch the serving staff were friendly and helpfully the food was served hot and was very nice the only down side was the owner or one in charge kept shouting and pointing at the staff which was not only embarrassing for the staff but for us who had to listen she also sat at the next table to make a phone call and proceeded to shout down the phone about an oven to some poor person on the other end, it was a shame because we could not fault the food or staff who served it but it has made us think twice about going back there which is a shame

I have included a menu and price. Down fall was the sausages, whilst fairly firm, they are of the cheap variety with a bland taste. Eggs were done just right for my needs.I would recommend this little cafe.No wheat and gluten free sausages on the menu, which in this day and age is a shame. It was a lovely sunny day in January and we wanted to take a look at Eric Coates' 'Sleepy Lagoon'. Lots of wading birds, but a bit windy, so we retired to the High Street for lunch. The café next door was full, and Café GB was almost empty, so we expected the worst, but we had good food, friendly and quick service, at a very reasonable price. Bacon and stilton (bap and baguette) with side salad and small portion of chips, two green teas, all for under a tenner.

Delicious lunch in this delightful cafe. There is an extensive menu with lots of gluten-free options. Table service indoors, counter service if you're sitting outdoors - which we weren't, I know it's unseasonably warm but it's not THAT warm! I chose a cheese and mushroom omelette, which was large, beautifully cooked, with a generous portion of good chips, some nice fresh salad and a spoonful of tasty coleslaw. My companion chose scrambled eggs on toast with bacon, and asked for the bacon to be cooked very crispy; it came exactly as requested, with a very large portion of well-scrambled eggs on doorstep toast. Her orange juice was a brim-full half-pint glass, my camomile tea was just a cup full but more hot water was provided promptly and cheerfully on request with no extra charge. The bill was very reasonable, I don't know how much to the penny as my companion kindly paid but it was over £12 and under £13. A joy to find such a good quality cafe when we were visiting on a whim.

I visited the café twice, once for lunch and again for brunch the following day.The first visit I ordered the mushroom omelette, which comes with chips and salad on the side. The omelette was a little flat for my liking (see picture), it had clearly just been mixed and thrown in the pan, then mushrooms added and folded in half, it was edible, but not how a omelette should be cooked (i.e. whipped in the pan like scrambled egg, too thicken and finished off under the grill etc.) This is of course my preference and you may prefer it this way. The service (table) was as expected from a seaside café, tea in a cup and saucer and supplied with decaf as requested along with a sweetener, so couldn't fault service. The following day my wife wanted brunch so we re-visited and ordered a bacon and mushroom baguette, which came with chips and salad on side, unfortunately the coleslaw that came with it, had a black hair in it, which was not to my liking, the manager took the price of the tea off for this, but at the time the staff did not seemed bothered about this, until we went outside then the manager followed us outside to talk to us!! I was not amused at this, to say the least. My wife's food (a small English fry up) was however o.k . The lady that followed us outside tried to explain to us that she was trying to take over the café and obviously did not want me writing a bad review (which is odd as they have signs up promoting trip adviser.) Hopefully they will learn from this mistake, but I doubt it, it seems quite common now for cafes etc. not to worry about their staff's hair coming into contact with food, as the hat's staff used to wear, seem a thing of the past in most venues nowadays.

I don't know what the other reviewers experienced, but there is nothing good at all that I can say about this eatery. The establishment is clearly a mediocre cafe, however, it does have an exciting and varied menu. I ordered squid and chips, my aunt ordered a lobster burger and the rest of our party of five ordered "Pie, Mash and Liquor". I received a few lumps of battered squid that had clearly been heated from frozen. This was served with chips: the cheapest and worst oven or even microwaveable chips available. If the meal had been slightly cheaper, I wouldn't really have minded too much. I clearly ordered the best of our party. My aunt's lobster burger appeared void of lobster. It was the flattest patty imaginable and was probably manufactured from potato and fish flavouring powder. She also had the bad oven chips.I could not feel more sorry for the rest of our party who had the "pie from London". It wasn't so much a pie as a grey, pseudo-lamb, burger with a pastry case. The innards had shrivelled away from the pastry case, which promptly collapsed into a disintegrated mass on the plate. To quote one relative, "The pastry was a soggy slime concealing the grey lump." I'm sure I do not describe the pie further, but I will add the the mash looked wet and liquor just looked like green dyed wallpaper paste! All together, it was quite a revolting experience and to make it worse, it wasn't cheap. The staff were fine and the drinks were too, it's just a shame about food.

I went to this cafe with my family. I made a great mistake in ordering Pie Mash and Liquor, an old East End staple. I asked the waitress what it was. "It's from London", she said. "What's in the pie," said I." I don't know", she said, "but I'll ask".. She returned with the answer. "It's Lamb" The Pie was microwaved. It had collapsed. The pastry was thin and soft. The meat was grey. The flavour was not describable. The mash was thin, lumpy and flavourless. The liquor was an even green from food colouring, and tasted of salt. The worst meal I have ever had. Do Not Go Here!

My daughter had an omelette which was perfect and my son had scrambled eggs on toast, that was so big he couldn't finish it! Although I didn't need to go for any guten free options withy breakfast, they did have alternatives for the rest of their menu and gluten free cakes, which when even the local super markets don't sell free from food, is a massive advantage!!! Came here with a friend for lunch mid-week. We sat outside in the garden. The inside is quite dark and dingy. I can imagine it is a great place to take kids as there are kids play things - although not yet up and running. But if you want a quiet place this may not be so good. I had scampi and chips and my friend had fish and chips. The portions were big and it was good value for £5.95 each. However, you get what you pay for and you don't get service! We asked for sauces - mayonnaise and salt and pepper - but were told we had to go get them ourselves! So more of a fast food place really. The food was good. My only complaint was that it was a bit cold.

the advert is incorrect. No hot food /soup/lunch. only cake coffee/tea. lovely setting bright and airy in the greenhouse

A long overdue revisit. Firstly I love the location. The welcome is great, but best of all is the food and drink – turns it into a wonderful place to be. The toasted sandwiches are labelled by cyclists - I had the Wiggo – kale, pesto, cheddar and onion chutney. Delicious! And the coffee was superb. Another part of the attraction is that I am really looking forward to being there again!

A very interesting cafe tucked away down a side passage to this whole food shop. Greeted by the aroma of tasty smells. Ideal for a coffee stop. There were many books and newspapers to keep one amused. There was a selection of healthy foods on offer but essentially I visited with a friend for coffee. No background music which is good as we had a good uninterrupted conversatiin.

Came here as we were staying in our campsite up the road. I had a high 5 smoothie and a breakfast burrito both days as the first one was so very good -super hot and Delicious-def would go back again and recommend and they allow dogs in too. My partner had the small breakfast and a latte -he said was great as he also had it the 2nd day 😁
