The best restaurants in Ambrosden and Chesterton Cherwell South East

We just experienced our first taste of vegan Punjabi food, and it was wonderful. All the dishes were fresh and tasty but I’ll give special mention to the Railway Mutton (tofu?)... superb. Food is delivered cold but a microwave zap is all that’s needed and even the breads were light as a feather. There is great attention to detail with biodegradable containers and hardly any plastic and delivery out to Buckingham came at no extra cost. You even get notified when they’re setting out. Highly recommended!

Great place to go afterwork to relax. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly part from K, pints are nice and cold, just what you need on a summer evening.

Worst sauce I have ever tasted. I grow my own herbs I love mint and I love lamb but not this version. The “mint”sauce ruined beautifully cooked tender lamb. It smelled of soap and tasted like it too.this was a special anniversary meal with lovely Chateauneuf du Pape wine so this was sad especially as chef went to the trouble of nice touch of little sweet treats at the end of our meal.

Most amazing spa day ever the manager Ahmed went above and beyond to accommodate my needs.the lunch was superb massive portions and excellent service.i had 2 treatments from moi and I must say the best ever.will definitely be returning.

Great pub just outside Bicester, delicious breakfast, great selection on the dinner menu. Dot was super friendly & helpful & we really enjoyed her service. We stayed in a lovely room. Great overall stay. Really handy for visiting Bicester Village.

Went here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The menu is varied with quite a few choices. It was quiet on the day we went. Food was good and service was ok.

Went to get our yearly Christmas tree and decorations from the garden centre, but before hand went for a full English in the main restaurant, got there around 10am which is before the crowds arrive, ordering was easy, pick your table, then pick your food from the menu, go to the till and pay and wait for it to arrive and then om nom nom.

Poorly organised and awful service, waited 1hr 20min for a panini, chased the order 3 times and were given a different excuse every time. Wouldn't recommend this place - there are better options locally.

We were delighted to revisit this lovely village pub under new management! Friendly service, diverse menu and delicious food! Will be going again soon

The worst place we have ever stayed. Rooms were filthy - we had to move rooms because our shower did not work and looked like it was about 50 years old! Nothing felt clean in the room. The cracks in the walls were taped up and painted over. Breakfast was very standard, porridge pots from Tesco!! Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning! Please don’t waste your money and stay here! We have requested a refund but no-one ever comes back to us!

Third time I have been here and every time been horrible, wait 10 mins for cold reheated chips with no taste. Fish is ok but not worth the wait
