The best restaurants in Hove Park Brighton and Hove South East

Having not been well for a while we remembered what great food we had at Galeleos So after an absence of 2 years we revisited for my first evening outing in a long time and it was great, food great, atmosphere and service. Hopefully this will again be a regular destination really is a hidden gem

We came to look at a sofa we liked the look of, and whilst trying a few we met the most AMAZING sales chick, Katie. Absolutely NO PRESSURE at all to buy, we ended up having such a wonderful shopping experience. Katie is a credit to not only Barker and Stonehouse but to ALL sales people. Thank you Katie, we are so excited for our new gorgeous sofa. You are the BEST

Amazing food as usual. My favourite starter is aubergine salad and main course is Gomez zappi, lamb shank, chicken with berries rice and lamb with aubergine.

Slowly becoming my favourite pub, good garden good atmosphere, friendly staff. Haven't eaten here so not rated for food

Saw ‘Saved by the Band’ here last Saturday evening and had a very enjoyable time. Great beer, great atmosphere, people were up dancing, an all round memorable night.

We’ve been to this cafe several times while in the Brighton area, and it is consistently good. The prawn salad is excellent and the sausage sandwich is top notch. Attentive service made the whole experience very enjoyable. Will return.

The staff were rude I had my food thrown at the table by kitty when I went up to order my food using my blue light card the woman called Mariia who arrived me was rude and unwelcoming

I hate to say this, but this must’ve been the worst ever experience I’ve had of having hot drinks and a slice of cake while eating out. I ordered a tiramisu hot chocolate and a latte coffee. Both of them should’ve been served in a mug, but were in cups, the drinks were tepid and the taste was very disappointing. The caramel chocolate cake was mediocre, far from what I would’ve expected in a high-end cafe. It was also like sitting in a refrigerator. When I picked up my spoon to stir the drink, the spoon felt ice cold as did we. The staffing levels were very poor, the young man that served us also ended up cleaning tables and taking away items to be washed up. While we were having our drink, he proceeded to put chairs on tables that were immediately behind us. This felt as though we were not welcome. I’m very disappointed in Waitrose, I was expecting way better than this! I don’t feel ever inclined to want to return to this place ever again!

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised when we entered the Royal George on the decor obviously due to change of ownership. We were greeted by Shanine who was friendly and polite. I ordered sausages and mash. My friend ordered Nachos. We waited more than 40 minutes. When we eventually got the food. The mash was cold. The veg accompanying were old. They had been roasted to disguise this. The 2 bites however I had of a sausage was very tasty and good quality. So it was a real shame the rest was uneatable. My friend's Nachos was soggy and squeezy or processed cheese had been used for the topping. I returned my meal and I received a refund. Alex handled this transaction. He was apologetic and polite. My friend and I took a few nibbles on the Nachos but couldn't go any further. We did not request a refund. We just left and thanked Shanine and Alex for their service.
