Great food the lady at the door was lovely helps us out when we arrived to find our friends

Nando's is always a safe bet and this one is no different. Great food and friendly service. But this branch could do with an update, a lot of the chairs are scuffed and marked, and overall it feels a little tired.

The best chicken burger I've ever had.

Food was not good. Portions have significantly decreased recently. The “fully loaded” wrap was fully loaded with avocado and that’s pretty much it. It was also lukewarm and came at a different time to all my friend’s food despite ordering at the same time. Air conditioner made the table freezing which might have explained the lukewarm food. I ordered the broccoli and the presentation and taste of this can only be described as “deeply sad” Will not be returning here any more - another big chain that’s chosen greed and profit over trying to actually make customers happy and retain them.

I used to love the charm, taste, and overall experience at Nandos. It was my place to go. I've eaten at various Nandos restaurants 3-4 times a week. Ever since Covid, chicken shortage, and staffing problems, Nandos lost most of the charm and dropped food quality a lot. Portions became super small, yet the price almost doubled. There are always out of chicken items on the menu... hello, it's Nandos, the chicken place.... Went there recently with a group of friends, spent £100 in total, and came out hungry, disappointed, and angry, of how such a great place can turn to such a scam. Avoid fully loaded wrap... it's a micro wrap, with some lettuce and tea spoon of shredded chicken... and they charge £17 for it... I never leave bad reviews, but for once Nandos deserved such. Can Nandos ever come to full glory once again?!?

A group of us used to eat here all the time. Since staff changeovers are so frequent, the standard has significantly dropped. From welcoming at the door, to the food portions being reduced. The new menu items are a scam, the new chicken wrap is literally all veg. Boycotting until further notice. Such a shame.

If you go to eat there after shopping, you will get a parking ticket as parking is only free for two hours. Nandos will not take any responsibility although their customer park there. Goldstone are waiting for you just miss their parking info board. They did not even provide any payment facility there. So, it means they do not want you there any longer and Nandos has nothing to say about it. Very convenient.

Absolutely brilliant service! Manager Vale is exceptional - accommodating me and my family particularly my young autistic son by helping us find a secluded/quiet table, very prompt and responsive with table service, friendly and kind. We had our daughter’s birthday here too - thank you Jacob for being so brilliant with birthday preparations! Will certainly be back again!

Waiting a long time to place an order and when it’s my time the young lady walks away! Really poor quality of service!

when we went there was a bit of difficulty with children screaming and whilst this isn't anyone's fault it made for a difficult time to enjoy when out with my dad with tinnitus

We loved the bottomless drinks and ice cream especially because the last time we went to Marina's the bottomless ice cream wasn't working.

As we were about to make an order the lady at the till asked if we had any allergy so I said I did and she called the manager to take my order and he asked me what kind of allergy was it and I said bell peppers. He told me that all the food they have contains bell peppers and I couldn’t have anything to eat in there. I told him I’ve eaten already many times at Nando’s and I’ve been fine. He was not very polite in his way of speaking and he walked away saying that’s not considered as al allergy so the other lady could take my order. The point is, does he know much about the entire menu to have the audacity to say that with that tone? Cause I don’t remember having a portion of chips that contains bell peppers. Or mushroom, or peas, or mashed potatoes?? Or was it just a way to get rid of some costumers? as the place was looking pretty busy. As I said, I’ve eaten many times there and I’ve been fine. So I would suggest him to review the allergy menu before turning people away. Secondly, I believe some of the staff confuse being polite and giving a good service with flirting. A waitress in red top (which I believe she’s in charge of walking costumers to the table) has been a bit “too friendly” to my partner for the entire time, not caring of the fact I was right there. Didn’t notice her being so caring to other people in there. Not so respectful. I’ve also worked in a restaurant before and if I would have been “polite” the same way this waitress was, I would’ve gotten half of Brighton phone’s number by now. Overall the food has always been okay. The service behaviour and standards should be reviewed.

It's a nandos Very reliable. Nice inside. Outside is in a car park.

Dinner with friends ruined. Deliveroo order only arrived half of the items, delivery driver only had 1 bag so order was mistakenly prepared by the member of the staff called Roo.

Every now and then you get service from someone that is truly above and beyond. Zara was fantastic, attentive and incredibly kind. She helped my wife who is injured both to and from the bathroom as well as making sure that we had everything we needed for our toddler who can be quite difficult at times. Service at this level is so rare to come by. It was so wonderful having Zara help us for our dinner that evening. I hope this restaurant knows how lucky it is to have Zara working there.

Ordered a mushroom and halloumi pitta, but was delivered a pitta with chicken and halloumi. Not suitable for a vegetarian, so binned!

Hove Nando’s this evening was very busy, had to wait about 30 minutes for a family of four table to become available. Thank you to Jesus and all the staff members for the excellent service and the delicious food.

Food was good but service and general experience was pretty poor. The restaurant must have been not even half full and our order was clearly forgotten. After waiting 40mins we asked when we would expect our order, the waiter went to the kitchen and didn't return. After waiting for what would be no response, we hailed down another who said it would be another 15 mins. The staff were generally stand offish and tainted the eating experience. Will vouch for a previous review where they do have staff walking idle while several portions of food are sitting under the hot light.

Food is Nando's standard, not a high class restaurant but great for popping into for a decent meal that isn't overpriced. I have been to many Nando's this one is always busy, noisy and you can be ignored fir a while due the amount of deliveroo and just eat drivers collecting takeaways. Our drinks glasses came out along with the meals which wasn't good. I think the sides are overpriced for what you get. 4 small bits of long stem Broccoli for the price not great.

02/03/2024 A good location to sit, relax and enjoy the meal with around two hours free parking. Generally friendly staff and decent ambience. Cooking on fire grill is best. Vusa sauce is my favourite hot sauce. Four stars, because, 1. The tables opposite to the toilets are my biggest concern (a mood killer) otherwise the ambience is good to eat in. 2. The breast piece in the 1/2 chicken was not cooked properly, despite my request to make it well done. The Piri piri sauce was poured on top of the chicken after it was taken off from the fire grill. From my experience of eating in and cooking, the sauce should've been cooked along with the chicken on the grill. (NOT looking for any compensation).

My fiancé and I visit Nando’s hove at least once a week, partly because of the food but more so because of the staff at this branch. Anatalio and Jesus are so welcoming, very hospitable and always provide excellent service. Whether we come in large groups, or just the two of us, their service is impeccable and they always ensure we’re having a great evening, with great food! Because of their service, we hold all our social gatherings at this branch and we would recommend it to anyone! Thanks guys!

Cold food slow service and waiters walking around aimlessly whilst food on the pass is sitting there waited 45 minutes for our main and was wrong and cold won't be rushing back and it wasn't even busy very disappointing

Great service! Easy parking. Had to wait 15mins for a table but peak Saturday lunch time.

Good experience despite the long wait ( didn't book in advance so a 50 mini wait on a Saturday evening) food lovely. Booked food through app but would have liked the option of table service or someone to discuss the menu with ( without interrupting a busy waiter/waitress. Bottomless frozen yoghurt was a hit!

Went on a Sunday. The staff were amazing, the restaurant was clean and had a wonderful atmosphere!

Messed up our order which we placed through nandos website. Gave us someone else's order. When we called customer service they said it'll take 3-4 days to hear back from someone and the lady would not guarantee a refund. What a joke. Nandos costs a bomb but provide terrible customer service, where's all that profit going then

Having being a big fan Nando’s Worthing & Brighton I’m extremely disappointed with the Hove branch. My 14 year old daughter & her boyfriend visited on Saturday 6th June and have both been violently ill with food poisoning. This has now affected her education as she’s having time off school. I have reported this to the store manager & I will update my review when I get a reply from Nando's Customer Support Team.

Ordered a collection. I ordered a butterfly chicken with lemon and herb. I got an overcooked, super dry and burnt bit of chicken that didn’t resemble butterfly chicken. I’m also certain there wasn’t any sauce on it. I got a really small portion of broccoli and my partners extra hot chicken wings had no sauce on either. Really disappointed as normally love a Nando’s. I couldn’t eat half of mine! My partner’s corn was also undercooked. Just an awful meal. Probably won’t waste my time at this Nando’s again

The place was quite busy but it did take a very long time for our main courses to come after we waited some time our starter came but I had to ask about our main course.

Very pricy for burger with chips. Chicken was like boiling Not grilled. I will have and other gow meaby I choose the wrong burger.

Had a really poor interaction with a member of staff this evening. The restaurant which was clearly very busy when we arrived so there was no surprise when the individual at the door informed us there would be a 25 minute wait for a table. We were more than happy to wait and I said this would be fine, the individual said nothing more and we left. We returned after 30 minutes and asked for a table of two again - it was the same individual who we had initially spoken to. He said that there was a 30 minute wait for food and we explained we’d been told the same thing 25 minutes ago, so we had returned after waiting as requested. He then asked if we had put our names on “the list”… at this point I’m very confused. there was no mention of a list when we first asked for a table. I imagine it was a genuine miscommunication and it simply wasn’t made clear that we needed to hang around to provide a name. However, after explaining again that we weren’t informed of a list, the worker then sarcastically said “that’s how a queue works”. I responded we were happy to wait, but it’s a shame that no one explained we needed to provide our names and now we would have to wait another 30 minutes. He offered no apology or solution so we left. Given it’s the responsibility of the restaurant to communicate how their queuing system works, it would have been great to receive a friendly apology for the confusion, even if the situation couldn’t be rectified. However, all we received was a patronising comment in front of other customers… the whole experience was really quite embarrassing and a waste of our time in the end.

Fast, clean and tasty with great service and nothing to complain about.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The manager was very knowledgable and was quick to give good recommendations when asked. Food came out hot and tasting fresh and was delivered very quickly. Great service!

Jesus was absolutely amazing at serving my friends and I! He made our Friday night amazing by providing excellent service with a huge smile on his face. My 2 friends and I needed a table and he was quick to sort it out! We won’t forget how amazing he is and look forward to seeing him again soon! Thanks Jesus!

Nandos is the phenomenal success story that it is because when you're good enough at something that you can specialise in roasting chicken in an international franchise kind of way, the hipster arty walhol-esque art might be different but some things stay the same. The same attentive, knowledgable, professional staff in the restaurant and I the kitchen is another quietly successful thing that Nandos get right. The butterfly chicken breast is my favourite - the mixed grains thing is underwhelming but the new leafy salad is a winner if they'd drizzle a bit of dressing on it.

This nandos is very nice, I feel!! We live far from Hove but we go from time to time. Staff are friendly, food is cooked well... No stress!! Good atmosphere... Thumbs up!!!

Sadly due to the service and cleanliness of this location its going to be a low rating. From no cutlery clean to over an hour wait to having to ask yo have the table top cleaned from prior diner to have the staff roll their eyes shuffle along drop the cloth on the floor then spray the table ish as it hit me and did one swoosh of the top missing 90% of the dirt and leaving the table soaked. A lovely diner next yo me couldn't believe it a git me napkins to wipe up the table. Shocking experience. Very unlike Nandos...

I love Nando’s and take my family often to Nando’s. First time trying Nando’s hove, and I had food poisoning in this branch. Ended up spending two days in bad. I noticed things are going down hill in Nando’s lately and hope they’ll improve.

The tastiest, most succulent chicken ever! And one of the nicest Nandos, great staff and the parking makes it convenient. Love!

The food was good, the only thing that let down the whole experience was that I paid for a regular Coke and the machine wasn't working. They should have taken it off the menu instead of charging me and my colleagues for it.

Great atmosphere and ambience. Meal and service was also wonderful. Closet meal to Nigerian jollof rice here in Brighton and available in virtually all cities in uk

First time. Pleasantly surprised about the sides... Sweet potato and feta, and rainbow slaw with its crunchy fresh veg. Nice sauces to help yourself to. Only downside was queueing.

Been waiting at the entrance for the past hour while the hostess at the entrance has seen me but ignored me! Not happy with that, any explanation as to why the staff at the door are so rude! Another hour waiting for food as well, is this how customers are meant to be treated? Really bad experience here, let down by the hove branch. When did Nando’s become so bad?

Great service and the rainbow salad was tasty

I ordered two bottles of kombucha online and they had none. A waiter came over and explained this to me, gave me proof he refunded the purchase and gave me a free bottomless drink. He was no nice!

Ordered online, when we got there they asked us to wait. We did, after 20mins I asked on progress and it has been in the warmer, they had forgotten to tell us it was ready. Then, we got home (20min drive) and opened the food to find both our orders of wings were burned to a crisp and inedible. Not a great takeout.. shame

Restaurant half full. Once order food took over 40 minutes to arrive. 2 meals arrived cold. Sent them back then on 1 meal only corn on cob came back. Chicken was forgotten about. Grilled pineapple originally ordered was completely forgotten about. Manager did give us a complete refund.

First time in this Nando's, will certainly go back again ,love their Quinoa salad had chicken breast with it this time 👌.

Great chicken crunchy vegetables

Ordered whole chicken got 4 bits, Salad platter over priced huge blob on hum us and very little of anything else. Don't except your order to be ready on time , to busy with Deliveroo had to wait nearly half an hour after my pick up time

Mortified and disgusted. Hove branch lack food hygiene. Our wraps/burgers were made without gloves. They practically touch every other thing and handle food without washing hands or wearing gloves. Very often they run out of chicken and customers are kept waiting couple of hours until they thaw and cook it. The service very poor so was the food.. The wrap had way too much sweet sauce which made it taste sickening. Definitely won't be having Nando agsin.

If you want to add or take off from the menu forget it. Terrible series

We've been many times now, I always fail to remember to take pictures. Good quality food. Order by an ap. And next to Hove Park! Great spot for the family. However even the kids chicken is a little spicy according to my daughter. The kids menu could be improved

Very poor children's food offering.

We had a horrible experience here last night. We were busy enjoying our food, until a member of staff started vomiting next to our table in the middle of the restaurant. Some other staff members thought is was funny. He was whisked away to the back staff area. However, the massive pool of vomit remained there. Other customers in the restaurant stood up and left. It took a long time before someone cleaned this mess up. We asked another male staff member if his colleague was ok. He pointed to the kitchen and said he is ok and he is back working again!! The whole experience was awful! What if this was infective? Why was he not sent home?!?! Why did it take so long to clean the area up!! Nobody came to our table to apologise or at least offer a refund and check if we are ok. The other staff members thought it was funny!! I will never return to this place and I will never recommend it to anyone I know! And neither will the people that sat with me at the table. Awful, awful, awful experience! We are still in shock!

Im really Usually easy to please but.... Would never go back to this place!!! Firstly we wasn't allowed to order a drink whilst we waited for a table. Which I do not like to be told what I can and can't do when I'm paying for a meal out. Secondly we ordered food and drinks on the app 15 mins later no drinks when asked they forgot about us. Thirdly we got our food and it was cold and had to be replaced. So WE SAY NO TO NANDOS!!!!!!! NEVER WILL GO BACK TO THIS DIVE AGAIN . Over priced teenage food KFC any day and I don't even like KFC 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

This used to be a good nandos when it first opened but recently I've been in 3 or 4 times and every time they haven't had any whole chickens to do the platters. One time they'd decided to shut early and hadn't even put a sign on the door or anything. The real joke is that tonight we waited 30+ minutes for a table only to be told no chicken and they could do some but have to wait 45mins, they could have told us when we queued or asked what we wanted so they could prep better. Just really poor management overall won't be coming back!

Went at the beginning of lunch service. Got seated immediately (restaurant quickly filled up) No table service, order on app. Get your own plates, cutlery, sauces etc. Food came out fairly quickly, fresh, warm and tasted good. No complaints.

Busy, buzzing place. Delicious food, not over priced. My son had a quarter of a chicken, which was only a leg realistically with chips and slaw. I had chicken breast and veg. Nice atmosphere. I would visit again.

Coming for eating with my son and we was waiting 30 m8n for the table to be free...that was fine...but after placing the order we was waiting for one more hour for the food to come...from what we order was missing the brocoli for my son...waiting more 10 min for that one to come and my plate was coming after other 20 min...so my son was eating alone...nobody said not even sorry for the delay...my chicken was not cooked properly...try to speak with the staff but excuses was that they are short staff...was nice if I was getting at least a warning that food is taking long... Very bad experience...used to come to this place and do orders most of the time but after this experience defenetly I will not...I.prefer the one in Marina

Personally the experience of this Nandos is the worse I've experienced non responsive to issues,lack of knowledge,lack of pretty much everything when it came to customer service.The redhead teenager at the front of house,what a waste of time needs to pay attention to her customers instead of roaming around doing other stuff and neglecting her duties to the customers.The manager,well what can I say after waiting over half hour to be seated and there was 4 tables open and no-one else in sight,when I brought this to his attention he was rude,abrupt and just plain arrogant, and advised him I will certainly not be back to his establishment on wish he replied no problem and walked off.AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE NOT VALUE FOR MONEY,RUDE STAFF UNHELPFUL AND LACK OF KNOWLEDGE TO THERE OWN MENU.

Good place to eat, but quite noisy. Food is served reasonably quickly and is lovely and hot. Fabulous vegetarian burger! Great service.

Nandos is so beautiful and tasty it makes me block the toilet because it is very spicy like my girlfriend 😋

Classic Nandos experience, staff all very friendly and good portions.

I swear I will not go to this shop again. We ordered the food and waited for food more than 1 hour and half. The staff gave us starters as when we were waiting. But as the staff said our food was given to wrong table. That‘s it. Really stupid， will not come again.

A lovely branch with such friendly staff who attended to our needs . Food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing
