The best restaurants in South East

Small cocktail bar ,event on near seafront so wasn't busy , would be nice in summer few benches outside nice vibe .

Lovely south Indian food. Loved the dosa. Sambar and chutney were authentic. Reminded us of our home made food. If you want a proper south Indian food, this is the place to visit. Mr Patrick was kind and friendly.

We come here several times a week. Maisey makes amazing coffee. She is always welcoming and when she sees us she has our order ready. Our grandchildren love the baby chinos too ❤️ x

We travel to come here and a Friday night we know where too come for good friendly service Good food too

This pub has been bought by the villagers. It’s is wonderful in so many ways. Cowbridge seems to be a black hole of decent food aside from the hare and hounds and maple and bean. This felt like a proper community pub in the 90s. The staff were all amazing. The food was amazing. There wasn’t a 400% markup on rubbish wine. The service as great. The atmosphere was lovely. Great starters of crab and squid were followed by perfectly cooked steak. The doughnuts with custard cream and strawberries were lovely. No rip off frozen food or “small plates” that nobody likes here. Go and support places like this. The rest of cowbridge eateries need to up their game.

Used it a lot last summer and will again this year. Great fresh food and run by very nice people. Recommend highly *****

We were sitting at a table and my little girl said, 'Mummy that lady (member of staff) is really nice.' Enough said. Fantastic coffee, great staff.

Hemos pasado por delante del Colectivo muchas veces así que pensamos en intentarlo un domingo por la mañana. Siempre parece estar ocupado, lo que era una buena señal, pero salimos decepcionados. Tomamos café y, por curiosidad, un par de (creo) queso y pasteles daneses marmitas. ¡Mala jugada! No podía probar ni el queso ni la marmita. El café estaba bien, pero servido en vasos de papel que nos parece asqueroso. No es culpa del café pero los niños rebeldes no ayudaron a la experiencia. Mucha suerte a la gente que ha montado The Collective -es bueno ver alternativas a las grandes cadenas- pero no creo que volvamos.

Delicioso brunch, gran variedad de opciones en el menú, buen espacio y gran ubicación. El sol de invierno brotaba por las ventanas. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

A mi pareja y a mí nos encanta venir aquí. La comida siempre es muy buena y disfrutar del pan y los chapuzones de cortesía para empezar. Siempre reciben un servicio amable y todos trabajan tan duro. Estoy deseando volver.

My partner said ‘it is a trick restaurant’ - it wants you to think it’s better than it is!? The very high price for the tasting menu and wine flight makes you think that you are in for something very special (trick 1) The portion size is very small ( most notably the Pate) trick 2 Staffed by young inexperienced girls with no Matre de onhand to guide and control them Service was slow (70% capacity) Very expensive wine by the glass served pre poured and not a sight of the bottle (the wine should have been served at the table from the shown bottle?) trick 3 Not a special experience and not value for money trick 4

Fantastic atmosphere, the owners are so lovely and friendly. They really want you to have the best experience. I had the black pepper chicken and hummus panini which was fantastic!! I will definitely be recommending to my friends and colleagues

Great little place, my americano came in a latte glass but was still fantastic! Great little spot highly recommend over the Sbucks that is nearby.

Came for breakfast to help warm up on a freezing morning. Staff lovely and very friendly. Food was amazing 🤤 definitely be going back. Thank you
