Elate in Brighton and Hove

Delicioso brunch, gran variedad de opciones en el menú, buen espacio y gran ubicación. El sol de invierno brotaba por las ventanas. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

Hemos estado en Elate alrededor de seis veces y cada vez que no decepciona. El personal siempre ha sido tan encantador y atento - esta vez había más cosas que era agradable ver, ya que estaba super ocupado. Nos encanta el Shakshuka, pero definitivamente se perdió las tortillas crujientes que solía hacer con ellos. Hicieron que el plato se destacara de los demás, ya que no se ve esto en ningún otro lugar, también estaban deliciosos (por favor, tráigalos de vuelta). Absolutamente maravilloso lugar - Rottingdean es muy afortunado de tenerlo parte del pueblo.

La familia había estado en Dogtember en Saltdean Lido, que era brillante! Todos estábamos muy hambrientos, incluyendo Olive el laboratorio, y nos encontramos con este café maravilloso justo al final del camino. Tuve el especial de cangrejo Elate y quedé tan impresionado. Verdaderamente deliciosa y una poción muy generosa. Toda la familia calificó su elección de comida. Ligero error con mi petición de una copa de vino, bueno ya no estaba al mediodía. . . . . . fue rápidamente corregido con profusas disculpas. Me encanta este lugar, visitado un par de veces y nunca decepciona. Tuve un brunch realmente encantador para una familia de 6 , Todos pidieron diferentes platos del menú y toda la comida era de buena calidad, llegaron juntos y sabía delicioso. El personal es amable y atento. . Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

He estado yendo a este café desde que abrió pero tuve mi última visita esta mañana. No soy adverso a pagar la tarifa en marcha, sino que me acaban de cobrar £ 9. 50 para un sándwich de salchicha y tocino, una rebanada de pan, una salchicha y tocino increíble!

Primera visita hoy y que lugar tan brillante que era, el café es precioso por dentro , muy limpio y acogedor, nos sentamos y nos recibieron y nos dieron menús , nuestra comida tardó un rato pero chico valió la pena, café caliente! dos ingleses completos y uno huevos , aguacate tocino y espinacas Benedict, ingredientes de calidad absolutamente deliciosos, Estábamos allí cuando el señor que mencionó que le cobraron £ 9. 50 para una salchicha y un sándwich de tocino estaba claramente sobrecargado, ya que había mucha discusión entre el personal cuando se fue! ¡Y creo que el servidor joven cometió un error! ¡Quizás si vuelves y hablas con el gerente estoy seguro de que se puede rectificar! Stopped here for brunch, what a little gem! Lovely place, clean and tidy. Nice atmosphere my sourdough toast and mushrooms with poached eggs was gorgeous. My husband enjoyed his full English. The female who served us was the loveliest friendly helpful and happy person. We will go back again as we think it was a real find

I've been here for brunch twice now, and it's my top choice in Brighton (NB it's in nearby Rottingdean - a great destination for a walk along the under cliff from Brighton Marina). The food is absolutely delicious; I've had both the mushrooms on toast, and the avocado/eggs/bacon, and both were excellent, and big portions. The place is warm and welcoming, and dog friendly. I'll definitely be going again!

Looked inviting, sparsely furnished great Italian server. Chef needs better training. Lump Sugar only and in glass jar without tongs.. Fingers could be used creating a health hazard. The English breakfast. £12.95..nice sausage, bacon more the USA way, hard baked. Shakshuka £11.95 without spices or garlic, tasteless, worst I have ever had, runny tinned tomatoes under egg, and the tortilla crisps were awful. Cofees In too small a cup, both cold flatwhites.. £3.20 each. Regrettably won't be going there again.

Booked lunch for a family celebration. The menu was incredibly varied and totally delicious. Elate is a very well managed and welcoming establishment. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend

Set just up from the busy Tescos and the village car park Elate enjoys an enviable position with tantalisingly close sea views. Spacious & airy but furnished sparsely so the atmosphere is very like other similar cafes with the layout great for the convenience of those working there but not very inviting or particularly comfortable. The menu is refreshingly simple and comprises of what look like great traditional deli dishes and priced fairly. We chose the only two burgers on the menu and they were well presented and tasted great; fries were superb. Service with a smile from all concerned and we were happy to give a tip. Sunday afternoon, two adults, draught Birra Moretti, San Pelligrino, Olives and two main courses, £40, service not included.

First went with my husband and was lucky to get a table without a booking. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the menu, which helped us decide what dishes to have. The food in the evening is small plates, tapas style and it was really fresh and tasty. Good list of wines, and they make a mean Irish coffee to complete the meal. We went back with our adult children for brunch, and the menu had so many choices. I went for the crab toast, which was absolutely delicious! We all enjoyed our food and will definitely return. This is a great, independent local business!

Another fantastic meal at Elate: we absolutely love this cafe and the people who run it are so nice. It’s chill yet friendly with great decor and ambience.

Enjoyed a family brunch out at Elate. The food was so delicious and generous in size. Really attention to detail paid to all the flavours and the presentation was stunning. Great coffee too!

Wonderful tapas and great atmosphere. All the best tapas on the menu, cooked extremely well with great service. Sauteed prawns phenomenal, mussels spanish style, meatballs and chicken skewers all delicious and we even had to get two rounds of the mixed bread as so good - freshly baked, but rolls. We are definitely going again- yum!!

A really nice place to eat, excellent menu and very friendly and efficient staff. On the coast road, so sea/ beach close by...really good food and presentation is lovely. It's lovely to have such a nice and different place to eat in Rottingdean. Highly recommend.

All food, drinks and coffee were excellent and the service was just right. We are planning our next visit here with our son.

We went here for a late breakfast. The food was nice enough, ingredient quality seemed to be good. Dropped a star because I wasn't asked how I wanted my egg and the fried egg I did get was a bit snotty.

So so so good! Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Great options for both meat eaters and veggie and for the quality of food was great value. We will be back!

Elate is very smart inside and there is outside seating . The guys that run the cafe are very friendly. I had a latte with an extra shot that was first class. I didn’t eat but the breakfast, brunch and lunch menu looks superb. They do takeaways as well.

Enjoyed freshly cooked home made fish cake very tasty My wife was delighted with the crab mayo salad. Will be going back soon

Amazing food very well presented and extremely tasty . First time the Fish Cake Special which was so fresh and very tasty and today late breakfast American Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup was superb. Would definitely recommend it here just lovely and relaxing.

Delicious brunch and coffee, great service and lovely setting. Undoubtedly the place for breakfast in Rottingdean. I had a vegetarian chickpea and feta hash topped with fried eggs and home made flat breads, my hubby had the full English. Really impressed by the quality of food and service. Recommend!!

I had heard from friends that Elate was well worth a visit and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. They currently specialise in breakfast and brunch and have a varied selection to chose from. The three of us all opted for the Elate Crab Special, which included locally caught crab, smoked salmon, rocket, chilli, lemon and two free range poached eggs with toasted sourdough bread. It was delicious, a generous portion and very good value for money. We will certainly be back. They are a new addition to Rottingdean and deserve to succeed.

Me and my partner went here and we were really impressed! They were really busy and there was a really nice atmosphere! - the food was incredible!!! One of the best Shakshouk’s I have ever had the little crunchy tortillas on the side were so lovely & unique!

Freshly cooked quality breakfasts and light lunches. Very friendly service and good value. Nice internal ambience and limited seating outside near the main road.
