The Espresso Room in Lewes

Looked nice, went in, no queue, two staff behind the counter going back and forth. No eye contact, no acknowledgement that I existed, I stood there for a minute and then left.

The oat milk lattes were beautiful. But I was pretty peed off to get home and discover all 4 x Gun Brewery cans i brought home as a gift were 4 and 5 months out of date. And thus tasted awful. Check the BBE guys

I’m new to Lewes as I’m visiting. I’m also a coffee shop aficionado. So, as I’d done nearly all the coffee shops in town I did a Google search for my last one and try somewhere different. I found this place via the excellent reviews, but being by the station I was curious if they were true. I can wholeheartedly agree with everyone else! The coffee here is most definitely the best tasting, but the service from Delina was impeccable! Kudos to the team for creating a good space to switch off and watch the world. And I’ve been to a lot of coffee places around the world!

Really good strong coffee. They serve a double unless told otherwise. Prices are reasonable. I've been to a few places in Lewes for coffee and I think that theirs is the best tasting. Lovely staff, they've always been polite and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Probably one of the best "railway station" cafés I've been to.

Great staff, great coffee, please consider to remove the Covid screens

Just missed connection for the last leg of commute home and so surprised to find this place open after 8pm midweek, really friendly service and damn fine coffee. Just very cold even inside a little warmth might encourage you to linger

The coffee in this place is completely undrinkable - very bitter. Please improve.

Chocolate croissants are simply an out of body experience

Popped in for a hot chocolate which was perfect. Very polite and friendly lady. Hard to find good service these days. Will definitely go back and recommend.

Popped in here when changing trains to grab a lunch on the go. Had a very nice coronation chicken bagel and even got to choose between three different bagel types. Great value with friendly service too. Highly recommended

Very friendly team who were both engaging and efficient. Good sense of humor too. Beautiful and extensive display of bagels!!

Asked for a decaf but was given normal coffee. Didn't sleep all night. Practically no food available.

Nice area with sit in tables and takeaway options that can be done without having to buy a ticket to go on the platform, good to be just in the undercover area of the train station with a range of things to have at any time of the day they are open.

This is a nice ooffee place but not open to 6pm , got there today at 5.10 door shut and closing , times on goggle need updating

Whenever I visit Lewes, I have to get my coffee from and some really fresh and delicious bites from here. The staff are always nice as well.

One of the best take away Americanos I’ve had in England. Smooth, not too hot, tasty. Important when you drink black coffee.

Beautiful, Cute, small cafe. It's close to station and have most of hot and cold drinks. I have had a hot chocolate and a cup of cappuccino, really enjoyed it over here. One can sit, while waiting for the train. Don't forget to ask for ice cream scoop if you are ice cream lover.
