Lins's Sushi in Lewes

Took my son there for 18th birthday's lunch. It was a really good experience. We were looked after well, enjoyed the food and the service was great and very friendly. We are definitely going to visit soon again.

The salmon sashimi, vegetable ramen and green dragon urumaki are just 3 of our favourites from this place. Good value for money and we'd go here more frequently if only they didn't insist on cash only payments.

I have been coming here quite a few times for a collection, honestly 100% some of the best food around. Really well priced, great quality, extensive menu and great portion sizes. Lin's sushi has become our new takeaway go to, many thanks we will be back very soon 🙏🏼🥢🍜🍣

Compared to other restaurants, it is open late and is easily accessible. But there is no taste. I don't know why, but I remember feeling a slight buttery taste in the sushi.

Extremely poor take away. Food was probably the worst I've eaten in years. Extremely expensive too.

We had a very nice dinner at Lin's Sushi. It was really nice to choose between a mix of sushi and traditional hot Japanese dishes. All the food was delicious and service was swift and professional.

Disgusting place to eat. Last week me and my husband and our friends just stopped by for some easy Chinese. Unfortunately rice noodles didn't looked like rice noodles but broken pieces of noodles which I never ever got in a Chinese restaurant with 3 pieces of chicken! Atmosphere awful. No one asked us how was the food ! Around the kitchen 5 teenagers who probably working there. One of them brought us food . He had awfully stinking armpits . We asked drink , glasses been touch where we suppose to put your lips. And on the end happened cheery on top ( probably the owner ) when my husband was paying he asked him 4 times if he will leave the tip as he had to put in the card machine. My husband said no and owner just turned around and no a single bye or anything to us. Disgusting disrespectful behaviour. Avoid the place. Waste if money.

Great Chinese and Sushi food and at a great price.

This is not just a restaurant. It’s a beacon of hope for those retired seniors who live nearby and need to get takeaway. They initially only served sushi but designed the Chinese menu catering for the old. They also maintain the price at very low level, 30-40% cheaper than other restaurants. The boss and his wife work in the kitchen to keep cost low. They prioritise serving online orders as more of those are ordered by the more elderly over in store. There is also no service charge. I must say, this is a beacon of light. The service is very good. Down to earth, honest and conscientious. I pledge you to come and visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Really good Japanese food and excellent service. The guy who served us was very patient, polite and hospitable. Their salmon teriyaki, wanton soup, and white wine that I ordered is delicious! And cheap!! Unlike the other places in Seaford town! But I want to absolutely commend the one who served us that time - April 12 at around 7pm, he is really hospitable and as should be to all people working in a restaurant!!

Food was ok but not great. I had a "Fanta" orange as per the menu. I didn't see a bottle or a can, the drink arrived in a glass ready poured and I was pretty sure the orange I was given was from Lidl orange zero ....52p for 2 litres. Possibly misrepresented!

First time trying this restaurant and will definitely be going again. Great choice of food, Chinese, Thai and Japanese. Excellent quality and value for money. Very friendly service and good choice of alcoholic drinks too. Highly recommend!

My first experience of Thai food in Seaford, and I kid you not , Lin’s food is fabulous! This will be a frequent treat for us. In fact, he is already booked to cater for my 80th birthday next weekend.

Always a great takeaway . No where else in my town does Japanese, so it’s been a blessing to be able to get sashimi delivered ! Always great portion sizes, fresh and good value for money .

Take away still not delivered 90 minutes after order and told out for delivery twice....shame as like the food, but won't now use again

Ordered the tofu pad Thai as had previously been delicious. Took a bite into what I thought was tofu, but it was in fact chicken. I don’t eat meat so was very disappointing. Called them up and asked for a refund which they said they will do. Unfortunately will not be ordering from them again which is a massive shame as their food has always been very good up until this point.

Just had a takeaway from this place (after seeing all the great reviews). What I find disappointing is that I can only give 5 stars! We had the Harumaki, Yakitori Kushiaki, Chicken Katsu Curry, and of course, had to try the Sushi, so elected to take the Sushi Platter. The Yakitori skewers were juicy and very tasty, but then I moved on to the Sushi. The Cucumber Hosomaki were very tasty, but then I moved on to the Salmon Hosomaki. Delicate flavour and beautifully prepared - the Pickled Ginger supplied with it was just sufficient to provide a counter-balance to the succulently fatty salmon. Then on to the Nigiri. Often with Nigiri, you are left with slices of the topping that are just too thin to balance things. Not so here - it is in perfect balance, and was the perfect foil for the rice. It might seem odd to call this out but the man who took our order was patient and explained clearly (because we ordered in the middle of the afternoon) that delivery would not start until 5pm. Expectations were therefore duly met, and there was no disappointment because we knew when the food was likely to arrive. We will definitely be ordering from here again, as the food is excellent.

Just came from Lins' Sushi. It was so nice, the food portion is good and tastes great(get the ribs, you won't be disappointed. Prawns were very nice too). The service was superb, very friendly owner. Would highly recommend it

We had a lovely meal here, on Friday evening, the food was superb and service was friendly, there were a few other diners there, but it was quiet. Takeaway service looked busy. We will definitely be returning soon

Bad attitude, wrong order, quibbles, no matter how good the food is, I don’t recommend it, and the food is just average👎🏻

Very bad. This is definitely the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten in in Europe. First of all, the boss put all the responsibility on the customer because he did not confirm clearly what he ordered when placing the order. He also asked the customer to bear all the expenses and responsibilities, and kept making a lot of noise at us. I have never seen such bad service attitude. Secondly, the taste is terrible. The rice in the beef fried rice was all stuck together and the beef tasted very stale. Green curry has weird yam in it. I don’t recommend it at all. I don’t know how other good reviews came about. Be sure to avoid this restaurant🤮

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat late on a Monday night but Lin’s saved the day. There was sadly no one in the restaurant so it felt a bit awkward at first but the man in there made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The food we ordered looked and tasted very fresh and well made - overall it was good value for money. I hope more people venture in to the restaurant because it really was a lovely meal.

Let me start with the positives: Friendly receptionist and deliver driver. But that is it! Food is expensive and tasteless. Absolutley no taste whatsoever from the sauces. Had to throw it away! Would not recommend and certainly wouldn't return.

I visited last week. Although there were not many customers, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality. I also met a fellow customer. The service attitude was very good and the price was reasonable. It is worth recommending!

always room for improvement but all in all we had a great time at lin’s sushi & some great food, our waiter was chatty and attentive and knew all the answers to the questions I had. Also would like to mention the dumplings were unreal. I would add photos but I’m not sure how

Absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared and served by friendly, thoughtful staff. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be visiting Seaford again just to come back here.

Came from Norfolk for the weekend. This is the last night of it. We walked into a beautifully decorated little sushi restaurant. The front of house man behind the counter was such a sweet man. Was very thankful that we were there. The food came quickly and A* for presentation. Looked amazing! Tasted amazing! Was a very authentic experience. Made my weekend. Thank you!

1st time here for lunch, our usual restaurant was closed, good range of hot and cold Japanese cuisine. Udon Noodles (Veg), Prawn gozya, veg Tempura, Salmon Teriyaki, Japanese 'Red' Tea.

Discovered this cozy place in Seaford just out of chance as I was there for a hike and just wanted to eat before my train back into London and boy was I chuffed to find this place. Small family owned place. Had the chilli crispy chicken and katsu chicken curry and it was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend if you’re in the area

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Our salmon was warm. We had small strange looking yellow bugs crawling over the sushi. I looked up the hygiene rating afterwards and it’s a 2!

Lin's Sushi. Where to start...? Well first of all there was a bit of miscommunication when booking our table. The guy behind the phone wasn't aware of the disability act of 2010 allowing guide dogs into the restaurant. After a discussion with him, I convinced him to call the manager and ask. He then profusely apologised saying that the guide dog of my father's was, or course, welcome. Apon arrival the same man welcomed us in, with more apologise. We did reassure him that this was fine. He presented us with a menu to which was full of so many tasty sounding and very well priced food items. I ordered gyoza for me and a portion for my dad, along with some tempura prawns and a selection of sushi. These arrived fairly fast and looked so tasty! They did not disappoint me at all. I am a fan of gyoza and these were very very good. The the Sushi was fresh and flavoursome. The batter on the tempura was so delicate and tasty. After polishing these off we were informed that there was andiscount on the food and drinks during May so we ordered some beef udon and some chicken noodles. These arrived within a decent time and was mouth watering in both taste and aesthetics. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Will definitely come again. Soon.

The people were lovely and the food is delicious! They had gluten free options including gf soy sauce, the 3 of us were given some fresh oranges after lunch too which was nice :) I definitely reccommend and will go again.

Excellent place for a quick lunch! This is my second visit and I can see it becoming a habit... this place is wonderful. The food is delicious, fresh and well presented, and it’s very well priced. It’s straightforward, traditional Japanese food. If you’re looking for somewhere for a quick but relaxing lunch you can’t beat sitting at the bar by the big window and watching the world go by. I’ll certainly be back.

Popped into Lins Sushi to buy sushi for a picnic. The owners are really friendly and the food was excellent. I bought a range of items and all were Absolutely fresh and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Went into Lins sushi restaurant to pick up some sushi. Greeted by Bill and his chef. Both extremely welcoming. I had the sushi platter. It was the best and freshest sushi Iver ever had before. I took my food away but the restaurant has been done out to a very high standard. Highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit.

Incredibly friendly and kind service - we were given a pot of green tea while we waited to pick up our takeaway. Delicious sushi of very high quality at a reasonable price. I used to live in London and the sushi selection here is better than the Japanese places in my old neighbourhood. Can highly recommend.

What an unexpected delight. A simple and very well priced Japanese sushi and such restaurant, with a simple, yet sufficiently comprehensive menu. Where it lacks the variety of city restaurants, it has a decent selection of savouries and a friendly atmosphere. Though ramen is replaced with it's simpler counterpart - noodle soup - it is, never the less, well prepared and stunningly presented... they also sell hot sake, so I'm won over there alone. If you are in the area and want something simple and Japanese, this is a fantastic alternative to driving to Brighton and as a new business, they have a delicious future ahead, with their current direction. As a chef who makes a lot of what they do, I can confidently say it is lovingly made and well seasoned. Sushi/sashimi/soup/rice dishes. Take your pick, but leave room for the mochi based puds. Highly recommendable and well worth a try. 2 devil horns up for this munch!

I was waiting outside in the cold for an appointment realise she was open and ordered myself the best bowl of ramen I have ever had. The owner was lovely and allowed me to wait inside till my appointment so I could stay out off the cold. Great place definitely going back

Tried for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! The sushi tasted really good, my order was made quickly, well priced and the owner was very friendly :) Definitely recommend the vegetable spring rolls and hosomaki rolls, will be eating at again!
