The best restaurants in North West

In Rishton visiting a friend and we decided to go out for a sunday roast. Somewhere local. Our firt time in the rishton arms. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, who were very welcoming, and we had a small dog with us that was made a fuss of! We asked if there was a sunday roast on and the reply was ' yes, and also food for your dog' which was convenient . The regulars were very friendly, chatty, and polite. They really made us feel welcome. Now to the food.....what can i say...the sunday roast beef dinner was the best ive had in a long time!! I live in clitheroe, and ive eaten sunday roast in some great long standing establishments, and this was the best. And at a much agreeable price. My friend and i, and alfie my dog can thoroughly recommend the rishtom arms, i will definitely be back!!

Fabulous food once again. The waitresses are lovely. One showing concern because we hadn't been for a while. Which was nice. The fish stew is my absolute favourite. Cannot fault this restaurant.

The empanadas are very tasty and there is a good range of fillings. The wine is very tempting, but lunchtime drinking doesn’t work for me. Best to eat and not drink! The staff are very friendly and the service was good.

Went here based on the tripadvisor reviews - and the food pictures! Food looked pretty good. And it WAS good. Great food and fantastic staff, 10/10 would go again without hesitation.

Came to get some food with my family. Staff was really friendly and the food was brilliant. Definitely be coming back. 100% recommend!!

Our meal was simply delicious ! I had reservations about visiting simply because I'm not really a "grill" type person. However, this was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time . I had the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly and beautifully tender . I had the pork belly for starters which likewise was delicious and not too fatty (even for pork belly). The hispi cabbage side was yum too. The only dish that was underwhelming was my partner's starter - smoked burrata - we both found it fairly tasteless . As we both love burrata , it was disappointing . That aside, the meal really was excellent and we will definitely return. Very good wine list too.

Best ice cream around! Fantastic choice of flavours, fairly priced, generous portions....cannot fault Roy's Ices! Never yet been disappointed!

The food here is top notch. Our chickpea starter was so flavoursome I could have happily had it as a main. All the food is cooked to order and they are happy to talk you through the menu when you arrive and vary the heat of the dish if desired. There's a good drinks list and it's very reasonably priced. The service is friendly and welcoming and it all makes for a great dining experience. This is a restaurant that deserves to do well. We'll be back!

Thank you so much for making our meal for our 40th wedding anniversary with our friends so memorable. The standard of food was superb and presentation exceptional, this was down to the dedication of the team in the kitchen and their mentors . The service we received from the young man (clover) was outstanding and he should be rightly proud as the rest of the serving team and mentors should be. £21 yes £21 for a three course restaurant meal and expirience. When we are next up this way on holiday we shall most definately be booking a lunch and will recommend to our family and friends. Finally a big thankyou for the marvellous cake which you presented to us. It was delicious and again a reflection of the superb team you have at the college including the your booking collegue.
