We booked for a 3 night stay at the Dutchman recommended by a friend - we were not disappointed, we were made to feel so welcome after walking through the door , the nightly entertainment (Fri/Sat/Sun) excellent and the breakfast was just unbelievable- so much choice and so nicely cooked and presented - only down side was the small room ( but when I booked I was told it was a ‘budget double ‘ ) but that was all that was available - will definitely be back- thank you to all the team at the hotel you should be proud of yourselves

Cannot recommend highly enough. They lady looking after the place was so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for guests. The room whilst small was very comfortable and modern and was perfect for a couple of nights.Breakfast was tasty and there was mountains of food to eat.Its definitely the first place I'll book next time I'm in Blackpool.

Me and my family decided to visit whilst in Blackpool again, We were not disappointed, my fussy son had the child's menu, and they tailored it to suit him, one very happy boy, my grandson had the Peri Peri chicken, very generous portions and he loved it, i had the ceasar salad, there was so much ,it was so nice, we also had the nachos to share, staff were so helpful, it was nice very clean, and brilliant service, and very reasonable prices, also my younger son's meal was free with my adult meal, including a drink and ice cream for him, definitely going back again to try more from there menu , highly recommended

I booked online for a carvery meal based on reviews. Unfortunately, I have to say we were very disappointed with the ambience, service and food. We walked in to find the staff didn't really seem willing to explain how the carvery worked (the food was all covered up on a serving bench, we didn't even know if they were actually having a carvery. I explained this was our first time and we didn't know how it all happened. We weren't shown to a table (there was only one other couple there), just told to pick one. We then went back to the bar as no food was showing and was told we needed to order and pay at the bar, which we did. Still no food showing so had no idea what was on offer. We stood by what we hoped was the food bench and another gentleman came up, took some covers and there were some very small deboned joints of meat. My son chose turkey, I had beef and gammon (it was called ham by the server). All I can say is the turkey was sliced in very small bits. It looked like it had been pre-chewed. My beef and gammon were ok, they actually sliced. We then helped ourselves to some very ordinary vegetables (carrots etc) and roast potatoes. The potatoes were soft, the vegetables were just right.I suspect the roast potatoes had been fried like chips rather than oven roasted. We had ordered two courses but left before we'd even finished the roast. The tables were clean but some training is needed on how to make customers feel welcome and hospitality skills for the servers. We paid £7.95 which is reasonable, but not given what we managed to eat. I am afraid if you want to remember that time you prepared a bad roast lunch (we've all cooked them) this is the place to visit. If you want something special, go elsewhere.

We walked past and saw a sign saying they do Sunday carvery. As there is literally not many places in Blackpool that do carvery we decided to give it a try. So glad we did as it was perfect! The meat was lovely and all the veg/ gravy was cooked perfect and tasted homemade! We couldn't fault it one bit. We also had a nice view of the prom. Will defenitly be back again and will try there other meals out to!

Went in for dinner and as it was between 5 and 6pm, there was an offer of Starter and Main course for £9.95. The food was excellent, both starter and main, both were chicken, and very generous portions. Lovely chips too. Highly recommend this place. If you can get a seat at the window, its just overlooking the Prom, so plenty to keep you amused before the food arrives.

Walked along the front trying to find somewhere cheap that suited all tastes (3 adults and 3 kids). Found this cute little bistro cafe which had something for everyone. Lots of choice for a good price. Food came quickly, piping hot. Burger was huge I couldn’t finish it. Pie had lots of steak in it and the little ones loved their food, drink and ice cream. All in all a good find. 😊

I live in Blackpool and don’t always want to cook for myself or do the pub thing. I have eaten at the promenade bistro a number of times, mainly on Sunday when they do a superb carvery. The place is clean, the staff are very friendly and the food has always been first rate whilst feeling home cooked. When I have visited through the week the menu is reasonably priced, straightforward but with enough choice to want to try a variety of dishes. I will continue to visit on a regular basis.

Food was reasonably priced and great value for money with Kids Eat Free. Tried to book the hotel again and visit the bistro but unfortunatly the hotel was fully booked :( Great Service! Would recommend to anyone!

We visited Blackpool for one night and stayed in a hotel on the seafront about a mile from this eatery. We initially wanted a Beefeater type pub to eat at but couldn't find anywhere close enough (walking distance) so we found this using tripadvisor and booked using the link available in the app. We had a pleasant walk to the Dutchman Hotel which this Bistro is a part of. First impressions were that it was more like a café. We'd only booked 45 minutes previous to arriving and were pleasantly surprised to find that our table had been reserved. We took our seats and were offered drinks almost immediately. Service was very quick. The menu has a decent range but not extensive. It has burgers, fish and chips, steak pie (highly recommend!), gammon among a few other things. The food was gorgeous... would definitely recommend this place if you're after somewhere cheap and cheerful that serves good food and has a bar. Kids get free ice cream with their meals.

In the early evening of Saturday 22nd October 2016, myself, daughter and boyfriend were looking for a meal before the lights switch on. The usual suspects, Harry Ramsden, Pizza Hut, Nandos etc were all full with waiting lists. We carried on towards the South Pier when we saw The Dutchman, and I remember eating here with my daughters many years ago. "Let's see" I said, and we weren't disappointed. The sea view Bistro wasn't busy (I don't know why) and we sat at a table by the windows. It was all fresh and very clean. The table, cutlery and condiments rack were spotless and the menus unstained and as new. We had gammon, steak pie and bacon & cheese burger. All the meals were excellent. My gammon was large and nicely cooked, with chunky chips, salad garnish and coleslaw. The steak in the pie was very tasty and tender (i tried it). I didn't hear much about the burger, as the person eating it just got on with it. There is a bar, and settee seating area. All meals were reasonably priced, and the staff attentive. I complimented the lady clearing the tables, and she said a lot of people say the meals are quite big. No complaints from me !!

The wife and I went into the promenade bistro for lunch, we were not staying at this Hotel but it is open to non residents. We were met by Wes the gent who was tidying up, I asked him if it was open as we were the only ones in there. yes sir you are the first ones in today was the cheerful reply. We sat down by the window, Wes came along and took order, the wife,s was gammon steak, mine sirloin (rare) plus tea. The two meals were out in no time, the wife look at hers and said I,m not going to be able to eat all of this, my steak was cooked just right, the chips in a small bucket!! again cooked to perfection crispy outside and fluffy inside. We not rushed at any time. For what we had the price for the meals was very reasonable. We go to Blackpool every year, we will make sure we visit the promenade again.

Looked all over Blackpool for a decent homemade Sunday Roast but only found poor imitations and microwave meals until I stumbled across The Dutchman; very friendly staff and welcoming. The Sunday roast with all the trimmings hits the spot very fresh and lots of meat and veg to choose from or have it all if you have room. We chose to have a pudding and the chef made my husband custard at my request as nothing appeared to much trouble. Very reasonable price and nice view to the sea a situated on the promenade towards the South Pier. I would certainly dine here again and may even look into hotel prices on next visit as appears very clean and tidy.

We are regular visitors to Blackpool and when there we always visit the Wexford Diner for brunch. Keith the owner and chef is always hospitable and cooks an amazing brunch. It’s such a friendly place to dine. A gem of a place to visit if you want the best breakfast.

Truly excellent experience with the guys running this place. I was sold faulty equipment elsewhere. They explained what was wrong, how to get the results I wanted cheaper, more easily and better. You can tell they have a passion for what they sell and know their products. Take their advice if you want the best out of your vape.
