The best restaurants in Shevington with Lower Ground Wigan North West

The Bonfire Gathering on 4th November was another great event at Stirrup Cup organised by Lisa and her family & friends. Staring at 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm. Well organised with two bars and food provided by Viet Rice Box, which was absolutely delicious. A great atmosphere with a slow start mainly due to the rain. By 6pm the numbers had significantly grown, and continued growing even after the bonfire was lit. Seeing so many local residents turning out to support Stirrup Cup was lovely to see. Our community needs more events like this so people can meet and get to know each other.

Tried the cheese burger & kebab. Both items were outstanding and the service was brilliant. Highly recommend this takeaway. I suggest the donner starter - a chefs special !!!!

Had christmas menu with friends it was delicious and plentiful staff were really great nothing was too much trouble we had booked the table well in advance because we know how popular this place is highly recomended so much so i got a take away xmas lunch for my father in laws tea

Brilliant evening for a group of us. Pre order easy enough to sort and helpful/ attentive staff from booking to on the evening. Food was lovely too. Thanks 👍.

We live in hindley but being dog friendly is a massive hit Roxy loves the doggy dinners. The food is always to high standard, staff are welcoming and helpful. Chilled relaxed atmosphere, everyone is friendly we really enjoy it 😃😃

A charming pub by the canal My steak pie with chips, veg and gravy was a good portion and tasty. Good beers on offer as well. Friendly Staff

Now called Dragon City. Tried this takeaway for the first time while working locally, speedy service, still piping hot when I got back, good special curry & salt n pepper ribs 👍👍

I visited with family. I opted for a slice of cake which I was then charged £5.20 for! I queried whether this was a misprice but was advised this is because they serve it with cream? I can see why as the cake was terribly dry. Lots of the tables were also dirty and there was often long queues to be served. I won't be back in a hurry.
