Jordan's in Wigan

Lovely people. I am trans and can get abused but not here. Very friendly owner and staff, respectful and chatty. Food was great too! Luna (my rescue dog) and I loved the scampi and peas. Nice place. Clean. Friendly. Not overcharging. What more could you wish for?

Great food at reasonable prices

I live less than 5mins by car I've just picked up fish large chips and I tub of gravy. It was very disappointing, the chips were barely warm and the gravy wasn't much better. How can you serve to paying customers Luke warm food ?

I've always used your chippy however tonight will be the last time I know I'm over weight but the girls serving was laughing between each other when looking at me and talking quietly I felt uncomfortable and uneasy staff that deal with customers need to have people skills and not be rude

Had the burger meal at dinner time a few days ago, only cost £5 - great value for the amount of chips I got. Service was great and quick too. The girl with dark hair was lovely (didn't get her name) Definitely be going back to try the spicy burger next time!

Love this chippy me, been going for yonks now always get same classic sausage and chips with gravy. can’t go wrong really. Quick service and staff are always great and you get the best from this chippy, id recommend to anyone

Orderd a sausage dinner and a pie dinner , sausage dinner come with beans peans and gravy ? Not sure where the beans come in 🤣drove back for them to change it come all the way home opens it up and know I’ve got chips and mushy pees … no sausage no gravy ?? Food is lovely if you get what you want

Been to Jordans just before closing. All the staff were doing a deep clean but still served me with amazing food and service. Super quality ingredients, well cooked and brilliant staff. Go here all the time, its the best around!

Really enjoyed my fish and chips takeaway, chips were hot and crispy, and the fish was flakey and had thin crispy batter. No sign of too much oil Also appreicated the curry sauce which was spicy, and had a good thick texture.

Excellent used to go to pepper lane but Jordans is as good and cheaper too

Ordered scampi and chips but got a potato scallop instead. turns out this happened to quite a lot of people today so whoever was serving doesn't know what scampi are. Couldn't go back as I had to go back to work so I paid for scampi but got a fried potato.

The best chippy in the area by a mile. Really good food, good selection of chippy foods (burgers, kebabs, fish and chips, chicken...), and fair prices for good servings. It's always busy, which can only be a good thing... we don't mind travelling a couple of miles to go to Jordans because our nearest chippy (Pepper Lane) isn't a patch on Jordans.

Top quality.. Good prices.. Nice staff... Even Better now they put vinegar on chips before the salt.

Always good food, not cheap by local chippy standards but still not bad prices, decent portions, good service. Gets busy on meal times like any good chippy. Food is never too greasy - a complaint you can level at many chip shops.

Always good food and the service is always really nice. It does get very busy on a Friday evening but I would say that's a good thing. Shows the food is good!

Popped in on Thursday evening after taking my youngest rugby. After paying my order I waited over 30 minutes, so asked if my order was ready, wasn't aware i ordered, they asked me who took my order, then after the confusion was over they managed to sort it and my order was ready. They very kindly give me 2 cans of coke (free) because of the wait which was a nice gesture, but unfortunately when I got home, large sausage was missing, oldest was devo😂🤷‍♂️. I mean C'mon, It's not really rocket science to take and complete a simple order. Anyway the Staff seem really nice, unfortunately not very bright 🤦‍♂️

Ordered a chicken kebab with everything on!! Turned out the smallest kebab ever with minimal amount of salad and dressing!!! The girl wasn’t even going to put salad on it until I said I wanted it!!! Everything else was perfect!! Your kebabs used to be amazing!!! Get back there!!! Xx

For me the best chippy around. Always fresh and fish cooked exactly as I want it. Peas on the bottom always. I just ask . Lovely and efficient staff and organised,especially during restrictions.

I would say Jordans chippy is now the best chippy in the area. Great English chip shop with the option of other foods including kebabs etc.

Cracking chippy. Great chips. Brilliant burgers. Even when it's rammed you get served and get the food pretty quickly. Staff are friendly. I have a chippy literally a 1 minute walk away from mine but I drive to Jordans.

Love the takeaways from Jordan's, I tend to go here all the time now UPDATE Your staff keep putting the peas on top of the chips which spoils the chips as it soaks all the way through. I've worked in a chippy and it's peas first then the chips etc

Great chippy have been 3 times in last 2 months. Chips always perfect. Kebabs are massive. Fish tastes fresh and well battered. You can ring your order through for collection. I drive from Standish and pass another chippy that isn't a patch on Jordans.

Myself and my wife moved to Shevington 4 years ago and we have come here for our fish and chips ever since then. Sadly my wife has not been too well over recent months so we have not been recently until this afternoon. I just want to say how wonderful the staff are here, really make us feel welcome every single time. There's a young girl who has worked here and has served us ever since I can remember and she's an absolute credit to this business. Thank you for today. 10/10 for food and service. We will be back again soon.
